Ascension NOW

Please note: this is a 'live' document which I will update or add to whenever I revisit it. Updates will show the date when I'm updating. Additions will mostly appear in the main body of the text in the relevant place. As far as possible I will not change what I have written previously, so that the reader can see the process as it develops (according to what I'm learning or observing).

Time will tell, but I believe that we have entered a period of very great change for which we need to prepare by understanding it. At the very least we need to see it happening, because it is unprecedented in human history and we should participate in it, if only as a passive observer. At this time of beginning writing, in January 2006, the symptoms of this change are not evident for all to see, but I believe that by the spring or summer of 2006 people will be asking "What's going on?"

(Today is December 10th 2006 and still there are very few people asking "What's going on?" I'm surprised that it's taking so long. However, most people have heard about global warming, 'terrorism', globalisation of the economy, 'peak oil' and 'New World Order', all of which could have far-reaching effects - we just haven't considered how we could be affected, and we're either unwilling to contemplate change, too complacent or very trusting that life will go on as usual. Allow me to amend my prediction to 'by the end of spring or summer 2007 people will be asking "What's going on?" [29th September 2007: still no obvious signs, though September 2007 was predicted to be a time of real breakthrough for the new energies; from what I can see, it seems that things are happening on such a subtle level that it may take more time for them to work through to the surface in various ways e.g. earth changes (earthquakes, volcanism, climate change); or political events etc, etc]

Other, more positive indicators that something unusual is going on is that a higher consciousness or awareness is manifesting in the world, through such things as e.g., knowledge of all kinds, especially scientific and technological knowledge, which is being gained at an exponentially accelerating pace; large numbers of children are displaying advanced psychic and healing abilities; our ability to communicate is growing rapidly through e.g. the internet and mobile phone technology; time seems to be speeding up, etc., etc)

So I want to write about what’s going on in the world today, from my own perspective and understanding. It’s about a process which I believe to be happening right now, often called (by those whose writings I have been reading) Ascension. That is, the ascension of both the planet Earth and of humanity into a higher dimension. This process has been going on for many years but it is only now, as I begin this in January 2006, that it has begun to be evident for all to see, and ancient and contemporary prophecy appears to be coming true, and major developments are occurring in the world. It has long been a concern of mine that if this process exists, ordinary people should go through it in comfort and benefit, and not be left behind by those who in their knowingness have raced ahead in one way or another.

(Dec 10th 2006: Delete '...ordinary people should go through it in comfort and benefit...'. Replace with: 'ordinary people should understand what the process is, how to handle the process, what choices they have, what choices they are making, and then take responsibility for their choices.....' It's not my job to give people 'comfort and benefit'. If I did - it now seems - I'd be accumulating karma for myself and for them. No-one, it seems, is really a victim. We should all be taking personal responsibility for our lives. What is permissible, I understand, is to give people the facts and leave what they do with the facts entirely up to them. Hard hearted? I didn't want to be. But we all contribute, to some extent, to things as they are.)

There are so many different elements to this that it’s difficult to know where to begin. It’s also difficult to address my main target audience, which is the ordinary, average person in the street. Many would argue that it would be futile to try to reach that audience because they wouldn’t listen. That’s my whole point - it’s because they probably wouldn’t listen that I think someone has to make the effort to find a way to inspire them to listen.

(December 10th 2006: Add to the last sentence: '....as a service to them. Whether they listen or not...is up to them.)

Also, I want to produce something that people could take to their town or borough or city leaders (national leaders have their own agenda - see later) and say "What are you doing about the threats we face from global warming, terrorism, globalisation of food and energy supplies, peak oil, etc., etc.? Do you have any plans in place for when these threats start making life difficult? If you don't, please read this....it'll explain why you need contingency plans, and that you need them NOW! And I'll let the press know I've told you, so you'd better do something about it."

As I write this, I find that it is ever-more clear to me that ordinary people need to know the full truth about the origins of humanity, about who we really are and what has been going on in the world over recent centuries - and is going on today. The truth will set us free, though before it does it will probably make us mad as hell when we discover what has been going on. What people will then need is to be offered opportunities for knowledge, understanding, forgiveness and reconciliation so that freedom, love and peace can prevail. I believe it's possible to achieve what I now say at every opportunity - an amazingly wonderful outcome for all of us, more so than we can possibly imagine.

(December 10th 2006: And this is still so, though the much greater likelihood is that many people will choose something much less for themselves - our present, materialistic and (probably) ultimately suicidal lifestyle has a very firm grip on many people.)

The reader will almost immediately bring a question to mind: if what I am saying is true, why don't we all know about it? Surely Governments would know, and would tell us? My answer is that, according to my best understanding, taking all the different elements into account, the top 'leaders' of government and other major institutions have literally been held hostage by people 'above' them - behind the scenes - and prevented from disclosing information which would otherwise have transformed our lives, averted the damage to the environment, poverty, disease, wars, terrorism and other such things that bring vast riches and power to those who benefit from them. It is those people hiding behind the scenes who need to answer that question and make amends by now enabling our ascension. But they wouldn't do that. They cannot willingly relinquish their power and wealth, which full disclosure would entail.

I’m going to use the New Living website and discussion forum to publish this essay, partly to make it readily available, free, and also to get discussion and feedback along the way as I write. So to some extent this will be a collaborative effort. And I need to know that it’s getting out there NOW, because there’s no time left to wait for a year or more before a book would be published. What I'm starting here will probably be a rough outline of a book to follow. So here goes:

It became apparent to me back in the 1980s that the year 2012 will be of some considerable significance, the year when the Mayan Calendar (which is not measured in our own, Gregorian calendar, years) will come to an end and a new Golden Age will begin. At the time I was living in a community in Skelmersdale, in North-West England, where we were practising the advanced transcendental meditation technique called TM-Sidhis, or Yogic Flying, in a group about 150-strong. The idea was to raise the collective consciousness of the whole of the United Kingdom through our group practice.

I was hearing it said that in 2012 we, humanity, and perhaps the whole physical planet, will be going through a ‘quantum leap’ into a higher state of consciousness, whatever that meant, and that those who failed to develop a higher state of consciousness would not make it through to the New Age but would die, probably through cancer or suchlike because their physiology would become too low in ‘vibration’ (whatever that meant) to survive at the higher levels which would come. That didn’t sound very fair to me, and I have always kept it in mind as I have gone on through the years.

The meditators I was living with in Skelmersdale were saying that the best thing we could do was to raise our own consciousness and that would raise everyone else’s too. I could understand that, but it seemed a rather callous approach and I wanted to get the many people who wouldn’t meditate to be more directly involved in the process so that they would know what to do - or not do, if they so chose.

Eventually, at the end of the 1980s, I came to the belief that Transcendental Meditation was too eastern, too alien in culture, to be accepted by most people in the west, and I resolved to find another way of helping the whole society to rise in consciousness. (December 10th 2006: Arrogant, or what?) I left the meditators in November 1989 and returned to my home city of Stoke-on-Trent to look after my mother, who was now living alone following my father’s death in March of that year.

As it happened, my mother didn’t need looking after, and I frequently visited an ex-TM friend who was running an alternative medicine clinic using a novel diagnostic technique called ‘muscle-testing’, the formal name for which was health kinesiology. This technique had been developed by an American doctor in the 1970s as a technique for revealing what was going on in the body of a patient, or client, and the technique had proved to be very effective.

Muscle-testing involves using the patient’s muscle strength to obtain answers to questions that the practitioner would ask the patient, out loud or silently. If the practitioner could move the outstretched arm of the patient, who would resist using a modicum of strength, the answer was ‘No’. If the arm remained solidly strong, the answer was ‘Yes’. Any level of movement in-between might indicate a ‘Maybe’ or ‘Ask a different question’. Not only would the muscle-testing reveal what was wrong, but it would also state what treatment was required. The practitioner’s most pertinent question might have been ‘Where are these answers coming from?’

My friend who had started to practise this new technique had found for some reason that she couldn’t entirely understand that her use of the technique had developed a direction of its own, namely towards using it in a group context. That is, by using two or more practitioners working together in the clinic, it was possible for the muscle-testing to access different levels of diagnosis and different forms of treatment some of which, believe me, were truly bizarre by my standards and probably by most other people’s too. There was, however, no question about the effectiveness of the treatment.

Eventually, the muscle-testing itself said that I should join the practice as a member of the group. Actually it said that I shouldn’t go home again, that day, or tomorrow, or any other day unless the muscle-testing said so. That came as a bit of a shock, but since I enjoyed being with my friend and I was fascinated about where this muscle-testing technique was leading, I willingly agreed to stay. I stayed for about 18 months, until I felt that I wanted a change, and just at that time my mother became ill and needed someone to look after her. So I went home again. The group practice is still working today and I am still involved, though peripherally and remotely.

I had discovered that the answers to the muscle-testing were coming from a higher source. I learnt that, at the level of our consciousness, we are all connected, right up to the highest level there is and which, to avoid being too overwhelmed, we used to call ‘Upstairs’. Actually, to digress for a moment, there was an occasion when my friend asked a direct question: "What should we really be calling you?", to which ‘Upstairs’ replied "When you know us really well, you can call us ‘I’". In other words, when we are really well connected to the higher source, we are consciously part of what it is, and we can say ‘I say this’ or ‘I say that’, knowing that we are speaking from that higher level of consciousness.

Now, here’s the rub - as I’m writing this today, about 15 years later, I don’t know whether I’m writing this, or it’s being channelled, or I’m writing this from my higher self. I suspect the latter because the thoughts I can hear in my mind are ‘Just get on with it!’, which is probably my higher self!

There was another occasion when my friend was told by Upstairs, ‘Don’t muscle-test this, HEAR it and say it’. My friend was reluctantly forced to acknowledge that she would normally hear the answers to her muscle-testing as thoughts in her mind as well as through the weak or strong physical movements of her client’s outstretched arm. And from that point she began to ‘channel’ full-length messages from Upstairs, messages normally of a counselling nature.

One day, there was a message for me. Unfortunately I can’t find the typed copy, which I certainly had up to December 2004 when I moved out of my mother’s home, after we’d sold it to wind up her estate after she’d died. At the time of moving I was of a mind to ‘let go’ of everything from the past, at least the physical things, so I threw out everything other than the barest of necessities. I left the house with very little, and moved into a small flat which I’ve just searched briefly and I can’t find the message. I’m a bit surprised that I threw that particular message out because it formed the basis of all my work thereafter, part of which I suspected would include writing a book, as I am now doing, and I would want to be able to reprint the message. Anyway, if I come across it I’ll add it in later.

The message told me that I was using a clairaudient ability to access information and I should practice and develop my ability until it became telepathic, at which point I could be passing messages from the Spiritual Hierarchy on to others "for their support and encouragement". Up to that point I had no idea I had a clairaudient ability, which means ‘hearing’ beyond the usual limits, in the same way as clairvoyant means ‘seeing’ beyond the usual limits. In my experience, the only things I hear are my own thoughts, but I must admit that I often ‘think’ things that later turn out to be prescient, that is, knowing things that will happen in the future, but I have usually thought that it was a case of simply extrapolating trends that I could see already occurring.

Today, in January 2006, I feel no differently about my clairaudient or telepathic abilities, except to say that I have greater confidence that the thoughts I have, and particularly the instincts I have, about how things are going to develop, are pretty near to the mark. So when I feel comfortable about talking about things that most people would say are preposterous, such as the whole idea of Ascension itself, it’s because I feel I’m right to think that way. Mostly, my own predictions, or my acceptance of other people’s predictions, have been justified.

(December 10th 2006: In recent months I've found many sources saying that 'Ascension' isn't really the right word. However there is no great agreement as to the most appropriate word, so I'll stick with it, for now.)

Predictions about the Ascension process come both from ancient sources such as the Mayan Calendar and also from many present-day sources, almost all of which are channelled messages from higher dimensional sources. Many people would dispute the possibility of receiving channelled messages from higher sources, but the basis I have received through both meditation and muscle-testing makes the possibility acceptable to me.

Also, I think that I have spent my life working up to this time. The fact that I started thinking along these lines when I was only 12 years old could suggest that I incarnated at this time in order to do what I’m doing today. I grew up in a family of middle-class professionals who mixed with some owner-class industrialists, and I saw the great contrast between their lives and those of the working classes whom I saw at school and play. I distinctly remember, at the age of 12, walking alongside the tennis courts in Trentham Gardens, a leisure park near to where I lived, and thinking to myself "I can see there’s something wrong in society, and I’m going to spend the rest of my life sorting it out."

I think what I was seeing at that time was a lack of love in society, a lack of concern for the well-being of others, and a wrong-headed, or wrong-hearted emphasis on material success. Also at that time I had scored near the bottom of my class in school, whereas my twin brother had scored nearly top, and I was acutely aware of the difference. Clearly there was greater approval for those who achieved intellectually, but no particular recognition of those who, like myself I felt, were just nice guys who had, as I did, a quite profound awareness of spiritual values.

At that time I consciously decided to stop worrying about exam marks and find my way through life with my heart rather than my intellect. In view of what I’m doing today it seems I got it right.

Like many young people I forgot the great insights I had at an early age, and it would be another 20 years before I returned to fulfil the promise I made at the age of 12.

In the meantime I was seeing clues that our lives are being subtly influenced and controlled from behind the scenes, and that people whom we would have expected to know better, actually don’t.

While I was still living at home in the early 1960s, that is, before the age of 18, I was regularly attending the local Church of England early evening Sunday Services. I was confirmed into the Church at the age of 13 though I had never particularly ‘bought’ the teachings, but the hymns were nice and my friends were there, and it was the 'done thing' to do, so I went. However, a book newly-published at that time, ‘Chariots of the Gods’ by archaeologist Erik von Daniken, showing rock drawings and other discoveries from the ancient Americas, suggested that Earth has been visited by ‘gods’ from space, or space-men, in the pre-historical past. Von Daniken even suggested that humanity is the product of seeding or genetic engineering by these extra-terrestrial ‘gods’ or men and women.

Frankly, to me, von Daniken’s theories seemed much more likely than Adam and Eve, and the Book of Genesis. I began to feel that the teachings of the church were more inspired by man than by God, and were intended to control rather than liberate us. I began to feel that I was not becoming spiritually enlightened, that I was not having spiritual experiences. And, to judge by the grey faces of the congregation, nor was anyone else. So at that time I left the church behind.

The second thing that gave me serious doubts about the judgment of people whom you would think knew better followed a feature article in the American ‘Life’ magazine, a big glossy monthly magazine. This was in 1965 if I remember correctly. The article concerned Teilhard de Chardin and his ideas on existentialism. Without fully understanding the article, I wrote a ‘letter to the editor’ about it, and lo and behold, a few weeks later my letter appeared as the ‘letter of the month’. I just can’t imagine why the editor thought my letter was worth publishing. Even today I don’t understand what existentialism is.

Then, late in 1973, the British Prime Minister at the time, Edward Heath, fell out with the coal miners once again and electricity supplies were rationed. This had a devastating effect on the business of which I was co-owner and director, the Caiystane Park Hotel in Edinburgh, and our weakened financial position eventually forced us into liquidation some couple of years later. It was clear to me that even Prime Ministers had serious trouble with their judgment.

I began to wonder what it would take to be able to make decisions that are always right. I felt sure there must be some level one could attain at which one’s decisions were somehow so in tune with life itself that they would be spontaneously right. Most people, I imagined, would say that one’s hard-won experience of making decisions eventually enables more decisions to be right, and this is why people work to gain experience. But somehow I felt there must be more to it. At some higher level, I mused to myself, such as ‘the angels’, or the laws of nature, spontaneously right decision-making must be possible. Does God make mistakes? I thought probably not. Therefore, how far down the hierarchy of life would right decision-making come into play?

I had an experience in 1975 which answered my question. Whilst running the hotel-restaurant in Edinburgh, my co-director and I began to operate ‘outside catering’ of various kinds. We were asked to provide the catering for an event taking place over several sites in Edinburgh. This was a prestige, 3-day event, a Radiology Congress. We were asked by three large companies, namely the British firm G.E.C., the German firm Siemens and the Belgian firm Agfa-Gevaert, to provide catering for their hospitality suites. This included a no-expense-spared wine-buffet reception for 1000 guests at the Assembly Rooms in George Street, as well as all-day catering on exhibition stands and hospitality suites, and barbecues. For us, it was a big affair. I did most of the prior organising and on-site management whilst my co-director looked after our hotel-restaurant.

At the time of the event itself something strange happened. Everything started to go really smoothly! This was not exactly the first time things had gone smoothly, but there was a quality of effortlessness that I had not experienced before. As I travelled repeatedly across Edinburgh, between the various sites at which we were catering, it was as if the traffic lights were turning green for me, and I had the curious feeling that everything was happening all by itself. It was a blissful feeling, extremely pleasant, like a ‘peak experience’ of some sort, like being ‘in the zone’.

This feeling persisted through the three days of the Congress, including the wine-buffet reception for 1000 which was a glorious success, and at the end of the week I said to my co-director, "I don’t know what happened this week, but whatever it was, I want it to be like this all the time. And I’m not going to do anything more until I find out what it was." What I felt I had seen was an example of things being ‘right’.

Well, it took me almost three years to find an answer which led me somewhere. I had a thought that, if I were ever to align myself with some level at which my decision-making would be spontaneously right, I would need to be living what was right for me, being truly myself, being all that I could be.

(December 10th 2006: Living in the ever-present 'Now', which many sources commend as the key to right-living and the way to connect with the omnipresence of God - and the will of God, and the organising power of God - is probably what I was articulating to myself - somewhat.)

Very shortly after having that thought, which turned out to be more correct than I felt justified in believing, I met an Australian chap named Mike Halthorpe, a student parapsychologist living in Edinburgh. Mike was practising Transcendental Meditation. I asked him what that was, and of all the things he could have said, he said the exact words I wanted to hear. "It’s to do with unfolding your full potential." I took the course of instruction that very weekend. That was in October 1978.

I noticed a poster on the wall of the main lounge in the Edinburgh TM Centre, showing a chap sitting in full lotus, crossed-legs position, seemingly levitating. This was the practice of the recently-introduced TM-Sidhi programme, which later became known as Yogic Flying. The programme was intended 'to create coherence in collective consciousness’, whereby the whole nation could enjoy life ‘spontaneously in accordance with natural law’. As you can imagine, this sounded very interesting to me.

Curiously this was only two months after I had been managing the catering for the annual Scottish Kennel Club dog show at Ingliston Showground, near Edinburgh Airport. I remember collecting one of my staff, a chap called Nigel, on our way there at about 5.30 in the morning and complaining that I hadn’t slept well but I’d had a very vivid dream in which I was in a room with some other people and we were sitting cross-legged and flapping our arms and rising up and down off the floor. Remember, this was before I saw the poster in the TM Centre, and I had never heard of people levitating like that. So when I saw the poster, I was reminded of the dream and I felt that the dream must have been a premonition that I would learn the Yogic Flying technique. And, sure enough, I did, in July 1980.

Whilst I was attending the two-week study course to learn the Yogic Flying technique, at Swythamley Park, near Leek in Staffordshire, there was an announcement about a community project to be set up in Skelmersdale, near Liverpool. The intention was to create a large enough group of Yogic Flyers to raise the collective consciousness of the whole of Britain. This should be a group of 800 Yogic Flyers. The reason why it should be 800 was that, it was claimed, the coherence generated by people practising the TM-Sidhi technique in a group would be generated according to the same laws of physics that enable the incredibly powerful light of the laser to be generated, namely that when the square root of 1% of a group of atoms becomes perfectly coherent, the whole group becomes equally coherent, and vastly more powerful. So, with the population of Great Britain being notionally reckoned to be 64 million, near enough for the ease of calculation, 1% would be 640,000 and the square root of 640,000 is 800. So 800 people attaining coherent consciousness through the TM-Sidhi technique would make the whole of Britain coherent. Ideally, 800 would be a minimum, daily number so that a sufficiently high level of coherence could be maintained for the whole of Britain on a continuous basis to make a significant difference to the quality of life for the whole of Britain.

Part of the initial announcement was that the community would start businesses in order to become self-sufficient. That came as an unwelcome shock to me, having recently put a hotel-restaurant business into voluntary liquidation despite having been trained at Ross Hall, the Scottish Hotel School in Glasgow, one of the top hotel management schools in Britain. It struck me at the time that the meditators were not experienced businessmen and so I would probably need to contribute my own experience to help the new community survive, and therefore I should move to the community and become involved with its businesses. I moved to Skelmersdale to join the project in October 1980, about three weeks after the first group had moved there to make a start.

In the event I did become deeply involved with helping the businesses, and was eventually, in 1984, one of two people who, having become joint managing directors of the holding company with numerous divisions, had to deal with the Official Receiver in winding up the company. That’s another story which doesn’t need to be told here, and I’m recording it here just to confirm that my instincts about becoming involved with the project were well-founded. I’m trying to make the point that my instincts have proven to be well-founded at many stages of my life. Whether instinct or intuition or channelled from above is not entirely clear, but this is the basis of my confidence in the validity of channelled information, upon which my confidence in the process of Ascension, as described through channelled messages, rests.

The other facet of my confidence in channelled information is my experience of higher states of consciousness, through the creation of coherence in collective consciousness by the group in Skelmersdale and elsewhere. I am one of a very small group of people who have experienced the practical benefits of coherent consciousness at first hand. Having a catering background, I was usually appointed to manage the catering for the large courses we held at Skelmersdale on various weekends. In the early days of the community, whilst enthusiasm for the project was most intense, there were 700 or more Yogic Flyers attending the courses. My experiences of coherence, and the practical benefits of coherence, became thoroughly reliable and predictable.

What would happen was that, on the Friday before the weekend course, whilst those attending were preparing or travelling to attend, and probably a bit stressed-out, things became quite incoherent in Skelmersdale. For me, organising the catering, things would not go well. We used to describe it as ‘working in mud’. It was heavy going. On the Saturday, whilst the course was settling in, things would ease off and go rather more smoothly, especially later in the day; but on Sunday, when the course was completely settled and coherence was greatest, that same qualitative experience that I had enjoyed during the Radiology Congress in Edinburgh would be there again - very smooth, very effortless, very blissful. This occurred every time. So I am completely confident that the effects that are claimed for Yogic Flying do indeed occur.

There was a time in 1984 or thereabouts when I attended a global coherence-creating course held in The Hague, in Holland. There were about 6000 Yogic Flyers participating, almost enough to affect the whole world (according to the previously-mentioned natural law, it would need nearly 8000 to produce coherence for the world population of 6 billion). A scientific study was carried out producing statistics on crime and other quality-of-life factors such as positive statements by world leaders, to assess whether the coherence generated by the course was having any beneficial effect. The results showed clearly enough that we were indeed having such an effect.

For me, then, there is definitely such a thing as a higher state of consciousness which can be experienced as a permanent, day-to-day reality. A question that needs answering, however, is why was I experiencing coherent consciousness whilst I was catering for the Radiology Congress in Edinburgh, those few years previously? On the basis of what I learned as a Yogic Flyer, which included not only the practice but an intellectual understanding of what was happening, I can say that the group of businessmen involved in the Radiology Congress were focussed together on having a successful Congress. They probably had a fairly coherent consciousness to begin with, being successful businessmen, and they had the skills to focus their organising power in a powerful way. I think that my experience was that I was riding on the back of the prevailing coherent consciousness at the Congress. It wasn’t that my consciousness was coherent, although my own focus of attention probably contributed. It was the group focus that made the difference. The group focus created the higher state of consciousness. The same can happen in group sports, especially at a professional or competitive team level.

So, one might ask, how is it possible to achieve that coherent state of consciousness whilst one is by oneself? Ah ha! Now we get to something of a different order.

First of all, we should ask: why should we need a coherent state of consciousness? Well, it makes it more likely that spontaneous right decision-making would occur. Why? Because that higher state of consciousness draws on a higher level of organising power which would know spontaneously what to do in the circumstances. Can we say this is a higher state of consciousness?

Let’s extrapolate this several stages further. If coherent consciousness means a higher state of consciousness, then a very much more coherent state of consciousness means a very much higher state of consciousness, and the higher one goes, the closer it becomes to the highest possible, which is, let’s say, The Source, this being the source of all creation, and of all natural law.

Now, it is fairly clear to us here on Earth that there is a degree of order in the universe. There are the planets which appear to follow certain stable orbits around our sun, at a stable speed, and our Milky Way galaxy with many suns appears to have a structure which stays more or less the same over millions of years. There is also Nature which we can see in our back garden and everywhere around. There is clearly some inherent intelligence in Nature. And the more one studies this, the more intelligent Nature appears to be.

In a moment I’m going to show that there is far more intelligence in nature than we have previously recognised, and the whole of creation has a definite purpose, as well as order.

Now, everything that was created in this universe is, at some level, connected to the source of everything. It must be. It may not look as if it’s connected, but that’s because we see the physical object, not the energy field. The energy field is part of the larger energy field.

You’ve probably heard that human beings have an aura around them. The aura can be photographed. Kirlian photography popularised this. Different people have different colours in their aura. The Kirlian photograph shows that the aura fades away at its extremities. It appears to fade away completely because the quality of the photograph only shows so much. We can deduce that eventually the aura does fade away, but we can imagine that it simply merges with the larger energy in the space, the air, around it. And at every point close to the body the human energy field merges and interacts with the larger energy field around it.

When two or more people are standing close together, their energy fields interact with each other’s. We can feel it. We can sense how other people are feeling. The more we develop this, through empathy, for example, the more we can ‘read’ another’s energy. So what we are, as physical human beings, is localised, concentrated energy fields. But our consciousness is more than that, it is also non-local. Just as we can sense the energy field of someone close to us, we can sense the field of someone far away. We can develop that faculty. We could only do that on the level of energy. That energy is synonymous with consciousness because we sense outside ourselves using that energy. And in that way we can say that our energy-consciousness is connected to everything else in creation.

The spiritual masters say that our soul is a ‘spark’ of the creator. The consciousness that says ‘I am’ is an individual spark from the Light which is our Creator. The Creator sparked off countless numbers of individual sparks of light, and we are one of those. So they say.

The energy which we are, that individuated spark of energy which says ‘I am’, exists eternally until it eventually returns to its source, once it has experienced what it was created to experience. It was (we were) created to go out and explore the universe, and return full of information. Did you see the first full-length Star Trek movie in which the Voyager space probe which humanity sent out into the cosmos eventually returned to Earth as an inconceivably vast, complex, enlightened, conscious energy field comprising innumerable mechanical entities? "V---ger seeks the creator", it said to Captain Kirk, not realising that mankind was its creator. That’s what humanity is in the process of doing, but what we are seeking is what we call God.

Now, please bear with me through this because it’s completely central to this whole thesis.

So if we can make the rather large leap to saying that whoever or whatever started the whole creation in the first place must have had an intrinsic intelligence, and probably an awareness or consciousness of what it was doing, then we can say that our own consciousness must be related to our Creator, that which created us. There is a saying from the Vedas, the ancient body of spiritual knowledge from India, ‘I am That, Thou are That, and All of This is That.’

What ‘That’ is, is spirit, Light, consciousness. Our connection with our Creator is therefore on the level of consciousness. ‘I am that consciousness’. We experience a certain amount, a spark, of our creator’s consciousness. And it is apparently inherent within us to strive to make that connection stronger, to reconnect with our creator. But are we really capable of doing that? Especially, are we capable of doing that on our own? I believe the answer to that is yes, and it is part of human nature to be striving to do this all the time.

Okay, that was me using a degree of logic to attempt to explain, in exceedingly sketchy terms, something that far more enlightened people than myself have failed to explain effectively at any time in known history. Why should I make such a statement? Because we ordinary people are not knowingly connected to our creator to any great extent. Despite the great teachers such as Buddha, Jesus, Mohammed and well-known others, we are not sufficiently connected to our creator that we have learned to live at the level of our full potential and create a peaceful, loving, compassionate, joyous, creative society - at least, not sufficiently so.

So, what does it take? What does it take to gear up our consciousness to the level where we enjoy spontaneous right action, where our daily lives are so much more in accordance with the universal order that we live our lives in a much more ideal way?

Time, it seems, is part of the divine order of things, at least at our level, here in this space-time continuum. And to see how time follows a divinely-ordered timetable, we need to look at the Mayan Calendar.

The Mayan Calendar ends on 21st December 2012, according to most exponents. There is one principal exponent, Swedish scientist Carl Johan Calleman, who argues that the calendar ends on 28th October 2011, and I trust Carl Calleman greatly, but we’ll leave the argument to one side for now. Carl Calleman has endorsed the theory of Jose Arguelles who was the first to describe the Mayan Calendar as a timetable for the evolution of consciousness, and Carl has plotted the known historical record against the Mayan Calendar to show that human history has unerringly followed the Mayan Calendar to a hitherto unknown extent. What this means, by implication, is that when the calendar ends in 2012, the evolution of human consciousness will be complete, and thereby we will enjoy fully developed consciousness and be re-connected to our divine creator.

If this seems in any way unlikely to you, let me propose that the reason why you are reading this is that you are interested in the development of consciousness, something that many people are also interested in at this time, in one way or another. Other manifestations of this might include an interest in alternative medicine, yoga, meditation, angels and various ‘new age’ topics. Such things have been identified as the manifestation of the rising Age of Aquarius, the ‘New Age’.

However, is it really conceivable that in the space of under seven years, from today as I write, in January 2006, to the end of the Mayan Calendar in December 2012, we can transform our level of consciousness so greatly that we would live in an enlightened world, a new Golden Age?

The answer to this, I am assured, is yes, and I will now begin to explain why this is apparently so.

The Mayan Calendar describes time as cycles which repeat themselves ever faster. That is, each next cycle moves twenty times faster than the cycle preceding it. It follows a path of exponential growth.

The Mayan Calendar consists of nine main cycles starting about 16 billion years ago at approximately the time of what we call the Big Bang when, according to the Bible's Book of Genesis, the Lord said ‘Let there be light’ and the physical universe began. That first cycle, which Calleman has named 'The Cellular Cycle', denoting the time when the first cells of matter began to form, ends, according to the Mayan Calendar, on 21st December 2012, so you can see that we’re talking in big, big concepts when we're talking about that 16 billion-year-cycle ending in seven years time, in 2012. As you probably already know, the Mayan Calendar does not work according to our Gregorian calendar, and we are merely translating Mayan time into Gregorian time to find the date 21st December 2012.

The second cycle, 'The Mammalian Cycle' according to Calleman, denoting when the first mammals appeared, started about 820 million years ago, with the evolutionary process moving 20 times faster than in the first cycle, and also ends on 21st December 2012, as all the cycles do. Or on 28th October 2011 as Carl Calleman argues.

The previous cycle to the 20x-accelerated one we’re in today, in 2006, started in 1756, around the time that the Industrial Revolution began. It lasts for about 256 years. Calleman calls this 'The Planetary Cycle', culminating in a global consciousness of the planet as an ecosphere in its own right, 'Gaia', and the emergence of global awareness of the need for environmental sustainability.

The cycle we’re in now started in 1999, the time when the Information Age really got into its stride. This cycle, proceeding twenty times faster than the preceding, lasts about 13 years. In these 13 years there will be as much evolution taking place as in the first 16 billion years. This, remember, is evolution of consciousness, not physical evolution. Calleman calls this 'The Galactic Cycle' when he predicts mankind will attain an awareness of our place in the galaxy. This might include contact with extraterrestrials, though Calleman restricts himself to the likelihood of finding planets orbiting other suns, possibly life-bearing planets if they follow a near 360-day annual rotation like ours.

And then the final cycle, which Calleman calls 'The Universal Cycle', starts in February 2011 and lasts just a few months, after which the whole process will be complete and a Golden Age will begin.

In terms of exponential growth, the curve will have reached a vertical phase at that time. This means that, in effect, time will cease to exist, but will become an eternal ‘Now’. You may be aware that many spiritual masters have described time as an illusion and, according to their reality, past, present and future co-exist in an eternal ‘Now’. This is consistent with what appears to lie ahead for us: the calendar will stop in time, and our consciousness will have risen to the level where we perceive time to be an illusion.

Or, that time goes in cycles, at different speeds, rather than in a straight line at the same rate. And time is a construct in that particular universe, rather than a universal absolute. It's still difficult to imagine, isn't it.

(December 10th 2006: Having read more about 'Now' as the ever-existing moment when we truly connect ourselves with God, or our Prime Source, I have conceived of the end of the Mayan Calendar as the time when we will live in the 'Now' completely; that is, we will have left our ego behind and will be living as our true Godself, our inner self, literally in the present moment and truly surrendered to the Will of God, allowing Him to direct our every thought and activity through our instinct and intuition. We will be totally mindless of past and future, both of which would otherwise take us out of Now and back into the ego. Time will be meaningless. There will be no need for a calendar.)

So during the next seven years, the evolution of our consciousness will progress at an inconceivably rapid pace. If so, how? And surely we would be experiencing this now, today? If so, in what ways are we experiencing it? What will this mean for our daily lives? What changes will it bring? Ah, questions, so many questions.

I will begin to describe how these changes will manifest in our daily lives, but first I need to give some more background about what is going on. The Mayan Calendar is not the only source of information about what is happening today. Up to a point, it’s a case of ‘all roads lead to Rome’, but were it ever so simple....

Firstly a little more about the Mayan Calendar, which for me was a stepping stone to another way of looking at things: western astrology, with its signs of the zodiac and personal horoscopes etc.

Carl Calleman has written a number of books, two of which have been published widely. The second of these, ‘The Mayan Calendar and the Transformation of Consciousness" was published in 2004. As an active supporter of Carl, I helped in the publication of this book by proof-reading it before its printing in the USA, and of course this gave me an early (free!) look at the material it contained.

I invited Carl to England for the UK launch of his new book, shortly prior to a major event taking place in June 2004, the Venus Transit. This was the passage of Venus over the face of the sun. It wasn’t an eclipse because Venus is far too small to hide the sun, but in any terms it was an important astrological and astronomical event, occurring only 120 years or so in a pair of Venus Transits 8 years apart. The second of the pair will therefore take place in 2012, a year pregnant with fate, it seems.

Carl described the significance of these Venus Transits in great detail in his new book, as he had in his first book, as doorways into the higher state of consciousness. What I found particularly interesting was his belief that Venus represents the feminine principle (Venus synonymous with Goddess of Love etc.), and that the transit would stimulate our right brain hemispheres, the part of our brain which is understood to mediate feminine qualities such as intuition, nurturing, spirituality, community, creativity and the holistic approach.

Carl saw this as an extremely important development for the human brain, balancing the two hemispheres which hitherto had historically favoured the left hemisphere which mediates masculine characteristics such as analytical thinking, calculation, sequential logic, individualism, materialism and power. The imbalance of left-brain dominance is what has given us a patriarchal, hierarchical society since at least the time of the ancient Egyptians.

So apart from the possibility of transforming our society through a balancing of masculine and feminine energies, the stimulation of the right brain hemisphere especially in men should also have the effect of raising consciousness by opening up aspects of ourselves that we had no idea existed.

This would benefit women as well, because many women, whom one would expect to be naturally right-brain- dominant, have adopted a pseudo-masculine approach to life, living as they have done in a masculine-oriented world. It has been difficult for women to be truly feminine in a world which, to all intents and purposes, operates in an overwhelmingly masculine way. The benefit to women would be that now they can be truly feminine because increasingly the value of feminine characteristics will become more evident especially to men.

As a short aside from that, I seem to have a particular connection with the Venus Transit that I’d appreciate some help in explaining. The Transit on 8th June 2004 took place when the sun and Venus were at 17 degrees Gemini. In my birth chart I also have Venus at 17 degrees Gemini, and my sun sign is Leo, with my sun at 0 degrees, sextile to Venus. I am, and always have been, I believe, right-brain dominant, which is unusual for a man, and I am left-handed. Left-handedness seems to be a right-brain function, though not always so, apparently. So in some ways I seem to be the very embodiment of the Venus Transit, having talked about it on local radio, BBC Radio Stoke, as I did with Carl Calleman when he was here, and by myself just prior to me hosting a group meditation and celebration at the precise time of the Venus Transit. What is that connection all about, I ask myself. If anyone knows, please tell me!

So, getting back on track, the Mayan Calendar has at least some common ground with western astrology.

Western astrology does also talk about a passage into a New Age. We have been talking about the Age of Aquarius since the 1960s when actors were cavorting naked on stage in "Hair" - "When the Moon is in the Seventh House, and Jupiter aligns with Mars, then peace shall guide the planets, and love will steer the stars, this is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius....". Well, not quite. The Age of Aquarius according to western astrology is really dawning more about this time now. But no-one seems entirely sure about this. In fact just less than a week ago from the time I write this, an American astrologer, Mark David Gerson described January 20th 2006, when the sun entered the sign of Aquarius, as the day for: "your walk through the Aquarian Earth Gateway into the New Earth, the Heaven on Earth of your own Ascension, the legendary Age of Aquarius". Some astrologers have talked about the profound influence of Pluto in Sagittarius as the gateway to the Age of Aquarius. Pluto entered the sign of Sagittarius on January 18th 1995 and will remain until January 26th, 2008. The Pluto in Sagittarius cycle provides the catalyst for universal regeneration. "Like the centaur (half-man, half-horse), aiming high with his arrow, we are compelled to transform our preconceptions to create a world of tolerance on many levels. This is Pluto in Sagittarius! Rising out of the darkness to see the light . . ." Others point to the winter solstice (December 21st) 2012, the date on which most people agree the Mayan Calendar will end, as the key entry-point to the Age of Aquarius.

Aquarius is believed to be synonymous with enlightenment. It is also the sign which begins the second half of the ‘precession of the equinoxes’, a 25,800-year cycle in which each of the twelve signs of the zodiac are the rising constellation as seen from Earth at the spring equinox for periods of around 2,160 years each. So ‘the dawning of the Age of Aquarius’ is a major time in astrological terms and it’s happening around now.

It was through taking a look at western astrology that I began to see the term ‘ascension’. I began to read about ‘ascension from the 3rd to the 4th (or even 5th) dimension’, for the planet and for ourselves.

For me, this was a new ‘take’ on the rise into a higher state of consciousness, and it seemed, to judge by the number of websites talking about it, that it was quite well known as a process occurring now.

There is quite a large body of people known as ‘Lightworkers’ who have been engaged in consciousness-raising practices and global meditations for several decades. In 1987, the above-mentioned Jose Arguelles organised a ‘Harmonic Convergence’ global meditation in which great numbers of Lightworkers participated.

These lightworkers have been working to raise collective consciousness through their light-bringing techniques, working towards a breakthrough into a higher dimensional state. There are two aspects to this: firstly, we can raise our individual and collective states of consciousness through our own, conscious efforts, and secondly the vibrationary frequencies of the planet are being raised through the planet’s own efforts. In both cases, we are being supplemented by rising vibrations of light coming to Earth from the wider galaxy, possibly from an invisible, higher dimensional sun at the heart of the galaxy.

In 1975, environmentalist Sir James Lovelock in the UK hypothesised that the living matter of the planet functioned like a single organism and he named this self-regulating living system after the Greek goddess, Gaia. Since then, the planet, Gaia, or Mother Earth, has become more widely accepted to be a spiritual - as well as physical - living, conscious entity which has decided to rise into a higher vibrational frequency. And we can’t do a thing about it. Not that we ought to want to.

According to the various ‘schools of ascension’, Mother Earth has her own evolutionary path and believes the time is right for her to rise, or ascend, into a higher vibrational state. It seems that Mother Earth has played a part, a very difficult and onerous part, in the process which has been taking place in our galaxy over aeons of time, and the time has arrived for her to regain her former, higher dimensional state.

To do this, Mother Earth needs to physically transform. And this explains global warming, climate irregularities, the rising frequency and intensity of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions and suchlike. Mother Earth is literally transforming herself right under our feet. I understand that she will become a 12-faceted dodecahedron instead of her current egg shape. That’s a pretty big transformation. She needs to do this not only to be the functioning body she should be, but also to purify herself of the toxicity and negative energy that is kinetically stored up in the Earth, the accumulated detritus of humanity’s activities over umpteen thousands of years. It sounds pretty bad for us, doesn’t it?

At the same time, humanity is also undergoing its own transformation into beings of higher dimensional states, the 4th, 5th and 6th dimensions, depending upon our own choices and efforts. In the 4th dimension, currently known as the Astral dimension, we will cease to be merely physical beings, we become both spiritual and physical, though physical in a much more refined, subtle, light, state. In the 5th dimension we will, it seems, become as we have always become when we ‘died and went to Heaven’ and became subtle beings of light. Heaven, it seems, is coming to Earth.

But wait, before you consider this the worst thing imaginable - you have a choice. You don’t need to go through this transformation. If you would prefer to continue living in a state of being such as the more grossly physical, disconnected from your spiritual inheritance, warring, polluting, keeping-up-with-the-Jones’s, Mercedes or BMW convertible-driving materialistic, couldn’t care less about anyone else, it’s a choice you can take and no-one will try to persuade you otherwise. It’s fine. There are planets out there similar to Earth as she has been until now, and you’re welcome to go there. No pressure. It’s your choice. It’s just that you can’t stay here on Earth, because she’s going somewhere you can’t go at your present level of consciousness. How you’re going to get to those other planets before 2012 is something I can explain, a little later. I am already, however, insisting to those from higher dimensions who will manage this process that it should be a very attractive option made available to us. So relax.

(December 10th 2006: Sorry, but no good news on this. To make direct contact with those from higher dimensions I wrote to Matthew Ward, via his mother Suzanne who channels from Matthew who died in 1980. Matthew said in his message received today (February 11th 2006) that "Many, many millions will not make the journey with her into the higher vibrations due to...." and "This is NOT a judgment call or punishment for those souls!"

That being the case, I hope to hear that these people will be transported by the ETs to other worlds where they will enjoy a reward in this lifetime, or at least will die in peace, for having participated and suffered in this great cosmic drama for so long.

Could it really be that ordinary, unascending people have such negative karma that they are due to suffer in these coming times? Who amongst us, at every level of society, has not been ruthlessly prevented from knowing the spiritual reality which would otherwise inform and guide our lives?

I have yet to read or hear of any channelled messages in which those who will not ascend here on Earth will recognise in their present lifetimes the contribution they have unknowingly been making - unknowingly, that is, at a conscious level, until now, and will be able to enjoy the fruits of their contribution.

These people are victims enough of the dark side here on Earth without having to pay the ultimate price of losing their lives as the ascension process continues without them.

Somewhere in the Bible it talks about 'wailing and gnashing of teeth' at the end-time. If that applies to the dark side, then fair enough, perhaps. But it would not be acceptable for those millions, if not billions, of ordinary people who have no conscious awareness of all that is going on, if they were to become aware that the death-rate is multiplying fast and they may be next on the list. They have been prevented from knowing their spiritual reality, and have been too busy surviving to even think about the higher things.

I hope to hear from Matthew that all is in hand to give the ordinary, unascending people of this Earth their due, and their choice, consciously, in this lifetime. Choices could include relocating to another planet, and there must be virgin, unpopulated planets where the adventurous ones would jump at the chance of going to make a new start (assisted and guided by ETs), or a planet where beautiful new, underground cities and holiday resorts could be made ready in advance for those who like their comforts. Others, who feel they could do with a rest from it all, could choose to go to Nirvana, but should not have to suffer in death. Peacefully, in one's sleep, or even in the wakeful state, through conscious choice, having made their peace, would be acceptable, I dare say......

Most of the ordinary people here on Earth would not want their lives to change at all, but they could be sold on the idea of helping the Earth to ascend by leaving here if the options were attractive....

There is injustice enough. Do the higher dimensional ones really understand what being an ordinary human being is like on this dimension?

I know one shouldn't judge the people in one's life, but most people seem worthy of such compassion and gratitude that they don't seem to deserve to suffer any more.

This business of ascension is worth going into a little more, especially as it’s the title of the book:

Ascension is about rising into a higher state of consciousness. Okay, what exactly does that mean? Well.......considering that I’ve been working on raising my consciousness for at least 25 years you would expect me to know, so here goes.....

1. Consciousness is that which we experience as "I am.....me". It’s awareness of oneself and the outside world. "I am alive.....you are alive." Whether we regard animals or trees as conscious is only a matter of degree.

2. So, let’s talk about degrees of consciousness. "I am aware that I am alive and that I am myself.....but I am separate from you." This is a state of consciousness which is based on purely physical values. "Everything I can see is separate from me." This is, no offence intended, a relatively low level of consciousness. It is the prevailing state of consciousness especially in the western world. It is one where we experience "the other" as separate, and where qualities of good and bad are identified as separate. This is called duality, or polarity. There is little awareness of an underlying unity.

3. At a higher level of consciousness, we begin to move away from duality or polarity and towards unity. "Whatever I can see in myself, I can also see in you. Whatever I can see in you I can also see in myself." This means, if we look really deeply into ourselves, and if we are brutally honest with ourselves, we can see some aspect, or some degree, of the same qualities in other people and in ourselves too. You don’t think of yourself as a murderer? How long is it since you killed an insect? Or an animal, which was killed because you expected to buy it from the supermarket to eat? You don’t think of yourself as gay. If ‘gay’ is a preference, that may be true, but can you honestly say you have never found a member of the same sex sexually attractive? I’m sure that for men there’s a thin line between admiring a sportsman’s physique and a sexual attraction. Okay, bad examples, but only because I’m treading on dangerous ground here. The more we consider this, the more we will find that, under the superficial differences, we’re all the same. We all know what love is, don’t we? I'm not talking about sexual attraction or lust or 'first love', but that feeling of deep, never-changing feeling that we realise is there even after all those years, that’s love. We all feel that, towards some people or things in our lives, don't we? That's just one example of the deeper we look, the more we find we’re the same.

4. A higher level, or degree, of consciousness is one where we realise through direct experience that we are connected at a deeper level. That is why we sometimes experience telepathy, or have an intuition that the phone’s going to ring and we know who it will be; or where we have ‘chemistry’ with someone; or when we respond to the sight of something or someone at a deep emotional level. These may be temporary, fleeting experiences but they are experiences of a higher level of awareness, or consciousness. At that higher level of consciousness, we realise as an actual, personal experience that we are connected at a non-physical level. This is spiritual.

5. Rising by degrees, we may find that we can sense what a tree feels like. It has ‘vibes’ (vibrating energy, radiating outwardly and resonating with your energy field so you can sense it - sorry, you knew what I meant, didn’t you). If you really focus your attention on a tree, you may find that it has vibes of a particular quality. And if you focus your attention on a different kind of tree, you can tell the difference between their vibes. They’re different energy patterns. You can identify trees with your eyes closed. And the more you do this, the more you realise that everything has energy patterns, even rocks, though you’d be hard pushed to feel so sensitively. But even rocks are alive; next time you get hold of an electron-microscope, put a piece of rock under it, and you’ll see energy patterns, and sparks of light, even in a rock that’s been lying there for thousands of years. Everything is alive, and conscious to a degree. There’s a relationship between the strength of the energy vibes and the state of consciousness. Also, the more you can see these energy patterns, the higher is your state of consciousness.

6. I can’t see these energy patterns. At least, I don’t try, certainly not with trees these days, but I can ‘feel’ the energy of people; but not particularly well. At least, I don’t think so. There was a time when I was practising the TM-Sidhi meditation programme when everything seemed far more alive and full of vibes than it does now, and the presence of a group of TM-Sidhi meditators was enough to blow your head off. But I don’t practise the TM-Sidhis now, so my perception has dulled. I’m also not as spaced-out as I used to be, thank goodness.

7. The way we live affects our state of consciousness. If we’re a meat-eater, our awareness is duller than a vegetarian’s, sorry but no exceptions. If we live in a big city, we probably have a lower state of consciousness than a country-dweller, because the concrete jungle is a very low-vibe place, even when it’s a nightlife hot-spot bursting with life and lights and sound. Vibe-wise, it’s the pits, mainly because of the dense vibrations of concrete but also because of the relatively coarse human consciousness in such places. Sorry, but these are the facts.

8. At the other end of the scale, we have heard of spiritually-inclined people, or great masters like the Buddha, or Jesus, or Mohammed, who clearly have an exalted state of consciousness. We may imagine that such states of consciousness are way beyond our ability, but I wouldn’t be so sure. The process of ascension that we’re now undergoing is intended to take us that far. Such ascended masters urge us to love. Love is the most sublime, most divine, most unifying, most universal energy we can experience, beyond all duality and polarity. And love is all we need. "All you need is love." The Beatles were so in touch with the times, in those fleeting years of the first impulse of Aquarius. When we’re wondering what is our state of consciousness, we have only to look at how much, how far, how unconditionally and how deeply we love.

I need to tell you more about what I understand an ascended world will look like, and also what will happen to those who choose not to ascend. Also, what will happen between now and then. But firstly I need to tell you that you have to make the choice between ascending or not ascending. You can’t get away without making a choice.

To a considerable extent you have already made your choice. I could venture to suggest that the fact that you’re reading this could mean that you have made your choice to ascend, but let’s not get too far ahead.

You made a choice before you were born into this lifetime. It’s not generally known that we have a conscious life before we were born, but if you accept the idea of reincarnation, and that of a heaven between incarnations, then it’s not too great a leap to consider that between incarnations your spiritual soul is engaged in some productive activity. It is said that we have spiritual guardians and counsellors in heaven who help us to choose the terms and conditions of our next incarnation, according to where we are in our personal evolution of consciousness and what we need to experience and learn. We choose our parents, the time and place to be born and a whole raft of circumstances which will enable us to live the kind of life we have chosen for ourselves.

So you chose to be here at this unprecedented time. You knew that the ascension was going to happen. You chose whether to put the work in to your own personal ascension, or not. You might have chosen some other scenario relating to the ascension process, such as helping to pay off some karma of your own or humanity’s. For instance, those people who died in the Indian Ocean tsunami in 2004 and the Himalayan earthquake in 2005 played a major role in resolving some of humanity’s negative karma, and they should be greatly honoured for it. It was a very great sacrifice. It was no accident they were there. They had agreed to be there.

So, my question to you is: what was your decision? You can probably get some idea from how you have lived your life, and the extent to which you feel drawn or repelled by the information I am setting out here. As I’ve just hinted, if you’ve read this far, you’re probably drawn to the ideas here and you probably feel you would want to go through with ascension.

On the other hand, it’s not too late to change your mind. You are a free, sovereign individual who can decide for yourself what to do with your life. If you feel that ascension sounds like too much work and what I’m predicting an ascended world will be like is not to your taste, or you would miss your 3rd dimensional life too much, you can now decide to stay in 3D.

The important thing is that you need to make a choice and you need to make it fast. That’s because you don’t have much time to prepare for whatever you’ve chosen. And that’s why I’m working to get this information out NOW, because there’s no time left to play around.

This is the whole point of this story I’m telling. You need to decide which side of a rapidly-widening gulf you are standing upon, and then move with some determination into whatever lies ahead.

For many years I thought that I was to be a gatekeeper, standing at the gate to a bridge which stretched over a divide between the old age and the new. I was imagining myself waving people through, over to the new age, encouraging people to decide to get over there before the widening divide made the bridge fall into the gulf and the option would be closed. I feel my instinct was right: that’s what I’m doing. But there’s very little time left for choices. It’s time to make the choice and then commit yourself to your choice, in certain knowledge that you’ve made your own choice and you’re happy with it, whatever it may bring. And that’s why you need all the information you can get, and that’s why I’m writing this to give you that information, or at least point you in various directions where you can get more information

At least for the first few months of 2006, and perhaps beyond that, what happens will happen to all of us whatever our choice has been. We will all be affected in some way, directly or indirectly. However, how we deal with it will probably be determined by our choice, and by our understanding of what is happening.

For example, the Earth still has many changes to make. There could be many more earthquakes and volcanic eruptions large enough to devastate whole areas or regions. Climate irregularities could occur over whole countries or continents, and as I write the north and east of Europe is experiencing the coldest temperatures for 50 years. The added complication of exploded gas pipelines in Georgia is making life particularly difficult for the people there. This is an example of the combination of separate phenomena exacerbating the challenges related to the ascension process.

There are various threats to our national and international infrastructure which could impact our day-to-day lives. Some of these threats are credible, such as global warming and climate irregularities, and terrorism, and earthquakes etc., and others are not so credible such as bird flu pandemics which appear to be used more as a fear-inducing factor and an excuse for validating future, unnecessary government control measures. More on that later.

(December 10th 2006: There has been a number of waves of powerful energy from unknown origins which have impacted on Earth in recent weeks and months, and it seems that many more such waves are to come. These are said to be causing the ambient vibrationary frequency to rise. According to my muscle-testing, my own vibrationary frequency has risen from 61 to 69.6 within a few weeks, entirely because of rises in the ambient frequency. Everyone is being affected by these rises in frequency, and due to the relationship between energy and consciousness (same thing), this will cause changes in behaviour. In turn, these will cause outward effects in society and in the wider world.

It seems that some people will react to the rising energies by becoming more spiritual (wanting to help others, for example) and some will become more materialistic (self-seeking); in this way, the great divisions will occur - dividing the sheep from the goats: to quote from the Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ:

I’m finding I have reached the point where I need to introduce what may be an altogether unexpected element: the extraterrestrials. I’m going to introduce our galactic neighbours now because they are central and, I feel, prerequisite to the process of change in our lives which will unfold ahead. 'Prerequisite' might be too strong a word, because some sources say that humanity has to take full responsibility for its actions in the years ahead; I personally feel, however, that a sincere appeal to the extraterrestrials for guidance and some physical support would be in order.

Despite a large number of sightings over the years of unidentified flying objects looking like spacecraft we are still not convinced there are such things. Perhaps we have a mental and emotional block to the idea that there are extra-terrestrial beings visiting our planet. After all, the implications of such a thing would be huge. In any case, there is no proof because the governments would know about such proof and would tell us, right? And if there are such things as flying saucers, well, they’re not making any kind of a difference to our lives, so we might as well ignore them, right?

We are not alone. There are thousands of human races in the galaxy, and the only ones who think they’re alone in the universe are us. Everyone else knows that the universe is teeming with intelligent life. Just as in the Star Trek movies there is a Federation of Planets. It’s called the Galactic Federation of Light, and it has thousands of planetary members.

How do I know this? Well, I’ve read it on the internet, and in books. I’ve never seen a ufo, I’ve never been abducted, I’ve never seen an extraterrestrial (to my knowledge) and I don’t have a telepathic connection to extraterrestrials. Ah, there I go again, denying myself.

I do have a telepathic connection to extraterrestrials. Or at least to the Spiritual Hierarchy, who apparently work closely with the Galactic Federation. And that’s why I believe in them. In any case, I'm Andromedan, apparently - according to my muscle-testing. I've spent most recent times in (on?) Andromeda and I've come here to write this book, amongst other things. Apparently.

As I said earlier, near the beginning of my story, I have a clairaudient facility which I was told, back in 1991, I should develop until it became telepathic, at which point I would be able to relay messages from the Spiritual Hierarchy for people’s support and encouragement. Over the years I thought I was being lazy, if not downright somnambulant, over this and failing to do what I was told. However, at some point when I muscled-tested about it, I was told that my telepathic ability was developing as I went along, and the thoughts that were coming into my head were not always mine, but were from my guiding influence, my source, ‘Upstairs’.

And I recognised that this was true, as I found myself driven to study this and that, and I couldn’t help myself but follow a path which has led me to where I am today. The information I have accumulated over the years has put me in a position to talk, and write, in the way I do. The fact that I am open to the idea of extraterrestrials and to channelled information from higher sources is the result of my connection to my inner source which has guided me to those things.

It’s not that I hear voices in my head - not at all. What I hear are my thoughts. They seem like my thoughts. In a sense they are my thoughts even when they don’t originate in my thinking processes but come from a higher source - because ‘I’ is really the whole of life, and my experience of ‘I’ is limited only by my openness to it. So I’m receptive to extraterrestrials and to channelled messages from higher sources because I’m open to them. The thought energy comes into my brain and I translate the energy into English. Apparently that's how telepathy between different races works - using the brain as a universal translator.

Consequently, although I have no direct, physical experience of extraterrestrials, I am confident that they do actually exist, and when people say they are receiving channelled messages from them, I am confident that they do. I should say that channelled messages are not always entirely clear, but that depends more on the ability of the channeller than the source. And false messages are published by the dark side here on Earth in order to deceive us, but more of that later. So it is necessary to be very discerning about what information to believe. However, I feel I am fairly good at this, and I believe that what I am about to tell you is indeed true.

According to what I believe to be true, there is a vast fleet of ufos waiting in near space to come to Earth to help us through the ascension process.

This fleet is literally thousands of ships strong, including motherships of an absolutely enormous size, e.g. hundreds or even thousands of miles across, and the ships are sentient i.e. living, organic beings, containing large numbers of scout ships of one sort or another. Most of these ships are higher-dimensional and are invisible to our eyes but some can be seen through infra-red cameras, and most have ‘cloaking’ devices, just as you see in the Star Trek movies, hence the reason why we don’t see them, although apparently Earth governments know very well that they are there and waiting.

I’d just like to say that, apparently, the Star Trek movies are far from being science fiction. Gene Roddenberry, the creator of Star Trek and other science fiction blockbusters, is described by Upstairs as a telepath, time-traveller and channeller who sees the images he ‘creates’ from real-life. Much of what we see in Star Trek is apparently very much like the real thing.

We are now waiting for First Contact. This will come at a time which is considered by the ETs to be ‘right’ as part of a universal process, and it will happen when they feel it is safe for them to make First Contact, and when we are inviting them to come and will welcome them. Whether all these things will happen at the same time remains to be seen.

The ETs will not feel safe until the present U.S. government is out of office. The ETs consider the present U.S. government to be a serious threat to them. The U.S. military has the technology to attack ufos though not to any great effect, but more importantly, face-to-face contact between ETs and U.S. government personnel would be fraught with danger to the ETs at the present time. In any case, the U.S. Government will not invite First Contact. They have far too much to lose, as their power base would suddenly lose credibility.

The U.S. government is engaged in creating their New World Order, or their Project for the New American Century, which seems to be the same thing. There is a group behind the U.S. government which the ETs call ‘the last dark cabal’. This cabal wants world domination. It is the last bastion of the dark side which has been working towards world domination for a very long time, and although its dark masters have now left the planet and joined the Forces of Light, the remaining cabal is not yet willing to give up.

The U.S. government's ideas about invading Iran, and anywhere else it deems fit, are part of this aim for world domination. At this time, considering the economic and military rise of China which holds the future of the U.S. dollar in its hands, it is difficult to imagine how the dark cabal feels it has much of a hand to play. It is almost as if it is willing to go for a scorched-earth policy if all else fails, which looks like happening. "If we can’t have the planet, you can’t either" seems to be the cabal's approach right now. Fortunately, the ETs know how to neutralise nuclear bombs and anything else the U.S. military has in its armoury. So there’s no possibility of the U.S. destroying the planet. However, the cabal can still make things difficult for the rest of us.

At this point I’d like to introduce the Spiritual Hierarchy, who are working hand-in-glove with the ETs. This will reconcile the spiritual sources and context that I have been describing earlier, with the First Contact scenario.

One of the major things the ETs will do is to teach us about our true history. This will change altogether our concepts of who we are and what we’re doing here. It will completely alter the way we live, although there will be an interim period that will need some organisation, and this is another of the main reasons why I’m writing this - to help prepare us for this interim period.

The ETs will turn this teaching role over to the Spiritual Hierarchy who will arrive with them. What I mean by that is that a number of ascended masters will arrive with them - not physically by spacecraft but by 'stepping-down' into materiality.

There is a divine creator. This is not the one some of us call ‘God’, because He/She is just the god responsible for this universe. The ultimate Creator is that Being which fashioned a multiplicity of universes which coexist in parallel or different dimensions. Different dimensions can coexist in the same physical space but at different frequencies of light - just as we know radio waves occupy the same air space but we have to tune-in to each one separately.

This particular universe, which I now understand is called Nebadon, was created by the Creator’s son Christ Michael, one of the Archangels. At first this universe was based entirely in the Light, with no trace of the ‘dark’. However, the Creator decided to introduce the concept of freewill into this universe, so that He (no gender intended) could watch His creations evolve in a much more uncontrolled way than He had previously entertained. In this way, He would learn more about His own creative potential. This is actually very much like the concepts in the book ‘Star Maker’, written in the late 1940s by a Liverpudlian university professor Olaf Stapledon. The book became something of a cult science fiction. It is certainly exquisitely written, and a tour-de-force of literary style and artistic imagination. Perhaps it too was channelled from a higher source.

Into this particular galaxy, the Milky Way, the Creator introduced the dark element, and gave instructions that the dark element should be allowed full sway over the Light. The purpose of this was to enable the Light to learn about the dark, and by doing so learn more about itself. When you live exclusively in one way, it is impossible to learn fully about yourself unless you also experience other, different qualities. And in this way, the Light would become more than it was previously. This would lead to another creation, which I believe will be the sixth creation of this Creator. The fifth creation is due to end on Earth in 2012. Then there will be 1000 years of peace, a null-point in time, after which time will start again. Something like that, anyway.

So far, far away in this galaxy, long, long ago, there were........Star Wars. I’m not kidding. The first sentient beings included reptilians, dinosaurians, vulturians, insectoids and cetaceans (now the dolphins and whales, but previously furry, land-based creatures), who evolved many tens of million years ago. They had full run of the galaxy, setting down civilisations on many planets. Most of the stars in our galaxy seem to have a series of planets very much like our own, with smaller, hot, dry planets near the sun, then one or two water planets further out from the sun, and then three or four giant gas planets further out still. The reptilians and dinosaurians were able to inhabit the hot, dry planets and also the water planets which were preferred by the cetaceans.

Later, about 25 million years ago, certain species of Light beings formed a mighty league of 250 star nations and went into battle against the dark forces which included mainly reptilians and dinosaurians. This began Star Wars which have raged throughout our galaxy ever since, right up to this present day.

However, the Lord Michael had issued an edict right at the beginning saying that the day would come when a permanent peace would arrive, with the dark joining the light to form an even greater Light, the brilliance of which will forever change the ways of all physicality.

This has actually now happened, just within the last few years, around 1995. Could we just stop for a moment and consider the magnitude of the times we live in? I have already described these as the end-days of the Mayan Calendar, and now I am talking about us living in the end days, the last six or seven Gregorian years of a Creation, the end of a process which began many, many millions of years ago. It really is a mind-boggling thing.

Around 35 million years ago, three highly sentient civilisations (reptilian, dinosaurian and cetacean) were placed here on our planet Earth (or Terra, as many higher sources call it) and they enjoyed a peaceful coexistence. Other star nations spoke of the unique diversity of sentient life forms living in remarkable harmony here on Earth. Our solar system became the stuff of legend, and began to attract the attention of the dark forces, the Anchara Alliance. The dark forces looked upon the coexistence of reptilians, dinosaurians and cetaceans with deep suspicion, feeling that they threatened the hold of the reptilians and dinosaurians over the cetaceans, and planned an attack.

In the event, the cetaceans, assisted by the forces of Heaven, destroyed the surface of the Earth in order to repel the invaders. The cetaceans took to the oceans and evolved into aquatic mammals. They are, today, the most spiritual and intellectually-gifted beings here on Earth - mankind included. Their role is to anchor the light energies constantly being beamed to Earth from the distant cosmos. We entirely underestimate the role of these magnificent creatures. Unfortunately, the dark forces on our planet do not, hence the constant threat from man to the lives of the cetaceans.

About 8 million years ago, the dolphins and whales, in collaboration with Earth’s Spiritual Hierarchy, sought another creature to replace them as land-based Earth guardians. A hopeful subject was found in the Vega system in the constellation of Lyra about 25 million light-years from Earth. This was an aquatic ape which was only beginning to emerge from the water.

In further collaboration with the Galactic Spiritual Hierarchy and the Spiritual Hierarchy of the Vega system, this group of aquatic primates was rapidly altered into full sentiency to become the guardian species for a vast number of star systems. They eventually became the chosen land-based guardian species for Mother Earth. This land-based species is the human species - ourselves.

Approximately 6.4 million years ago, the humanoid Vegans began to spread throughout the Lyra constellation. They found themselves embroiled in battles with the Anchara Alliance but were able to defeat them. Over the next four million years they continued their stellar and cultural migrations to the edge of our solar system. By the end of this period, galactic humans had agreed with our local Spiritual Hierarchy to colonise Earth and other planets in our solar system, namely Mars, Venus and Maldek. Humanity arrived on Earth, then, about 2.5 million years ago. This more or less fits in with the known emergence of Homo Sapiens, and it fills in the Missing Link.

Our solar system, incidentally, was unique in the galaxy in having four water planets. Water is a rare commodity in the galaxy and thus our solar system was highly desirable. Of these four planets, Earth was the most desired, being the most beautiful and having the greatest diversity of fauna and flora as well as abundant natural resources, especially copper and gold which are wanted by many civilisations to support advanced technologies.

Maldek lay just beyond the orbit of Mars. Approximately 29,000 miles in diameter, it had five moons - four natural and one artificial. This artificial moon was used for observational purposes, had a titanium shell with a hollow core full of laboratories and living regions and so on. It is now our own moon, having been transported here following the destruction of Maldek. I’m taking this information from the book ‘Your First Contact’ by Sheldan Nidle, listed in the links at the end of this. I know it doesn’t sound likely but you haven’t heard the full story yet.

Around a million years ago, the forces of the Ancharan Alliance began a broad-based attack on our solar system. They were able to destroy the Galactic Federation of Light’s colonies on Mars, Venus and Earth. These attacks depleted most of Mars’ atmosphere and water*, and left Venus in a virtual greenhouse condition. A series of quick, savage attacks thoroughly decimated Earth’s original human colony of Hybornea.

For the next 100,000 years, the Orion-based Alliance group held sway. About 900,000 years ago, the Federation pushed the dark Alliance back and humans were able to return to this solar system.

To enable their return, the Galactic Federation of Light brought in a large, 5th-dimensional battle planet, which legends refer to as Nibiru. Its purpose was to destroy Maldek, the headquarters of the Anchara Alliance. The battle was won, Earth was secured, and humans returned to colonise her.

In the battle, Maldek was destroyed, and it became what we know today as the Asteroid Belt. That was Maldek.

The human settlers on Earth settled in Lemuria, a large island continent in the Pacific Ocean. Over the next 850,000 years, the Lemurian Empire stretched across the planet. One of their daughter empires developed in Atlantis, another island continent, located in the Atlantic Ocean.

Over the succeeding millennia, Atlantis began plotting to destroy the Lemurian motherland. I’m going to skip over the details at this point, and leave them for when I retrace and add to what I’ve written above.

Using advanced technologies which they had inherited from their galactic friends, the Atlanteans destroyed Lemuria. At that time, Earth had two natural moons. With the help of Pleiadian and Centaurian renegade star-nations, the moons were moved into a trajectory which took them close enough to Earth’s Lagrangian point at which Earth's gravity was strong enough to explode them. The resulting shower of giant meteors devastated Lemuria, exploding huge underground gas chambers, and Lemuria sank literally overnight with untold loss of life.

To return, for a moment, to what I said earlier about people on Earth today having karma for previous natural disasters on Earth, this is one of those events for which a karmic price must be paid off. And since many of us were probably incarnate at that time, many of us may be directly involved in natural disasters yet to come. Unless, that is, we can find another way to pay off that unresolved karma.

Another great daughter-empire of Lemuria was the Yu Empire located in Central Asia. The Yu Empire issued a series of edicts demanding that the Atlanteans apologise to its other daughter empires. Six months after the obliteration of Lemuria, the Atlanteans attacked the Yu Empire which was decimated. Its survivors fled underground into the hollow Earth and formed what is known today as the Kingdom of Agartha, or Shamballa. It is today a magnificent empire. You didn’t know that, did you? It’s surprising how much we don’t know. But more of that later.

To cut a long story short, for the present purposes of giving an overview of the whole historic process leading up to today, and which is covered in some detail in Sheldan Nidle’s book ‘Your First Contact’, Atlantis, the fabled continent which really did exist, was destroyed when the firmament, a two-level structure of ice particles located at around 15,000 feet and 35,000 feet high in the Earth’s atmosphere, was destroyed during a war between the Sumerian empire in Egypt and the Rama empire in India. That was the cause of the Great Flood which inundated the entire Earth, extensively damaging the Americas, Asia, Europe and Africa as well as Earth’s many ocean basins. The flood washed away many of the artefacts of the ancient history of humanity, and left behind the legends and myths that persist even to this day. So now you know their origin.

The Great Flood marked the beginning of modern history. The world which we have created evolved from that time. The people of those former times are now our ‘gods’ and ‘goddesses’ and their exploits and adventures and misdemeanours are the mythology of a ‘Golden Age’.

Unfortunately for us, the destruction of Atlantis left humanity needing leadership, and it opened an opportunity for another race to come to Earth as ‘gods’ - the Annunaki.

The original governing hierarchy of Atlantis had fled from Earth in anticipation of the devastation of the Flood. But they left behind a race of beings, humanity, which they had reduced to a state of servitude - slavery. The Atlanteans had, in their evil cunning, genetically-engineered humanity into a regressive phase which turned them into limited-consciousness beings. This was what we refer to as the ‘Fall’. It was a fall in consciousness from our previously fully-conscious state in which we were aware of our status as spiritual, as well as physical, beings to a point where we lacked a spiritual perspective altogether and thought of ourselves as separate from one another, and mortal, and quite needing to be slaves to anyone strong enough to be our leaders - much as we see ourselves today, if the truth be told.

The Atlantean scientists had disabled our DNA. Originally we had a 3-strand RNA/DNA which was constructed in such a way as to form 12 strands. The third strand was disconnected, somehow, leaving us with only two operational strands, what we know today as the double-helix DNA structure. We think of this as a most marvellous structure, but it is a mere shadow of what is our birthright as human beings.

Fortunately, the Atlantean scientists had fled before they could complete the job, leaving open the possibility of our DNA reconnecting itself. So the potential for our return to full consciousness has always been inherent within us. And now, today, we are mutating back into the full 12-strand DNA, returning us to full consciousness. THIS is what ascension is all about.

However, for all this time, for the last 13,000 years, humanity has been imprisoned in a state of limited consciousness. Despite the technology which by now it must be obvious to you exists throughout the galaxy, humanity has been stranded here on Earth in our imprisoned, ensnared, enslaved condition. And no-one has come to help us. You may justifiably ask: "Why????"

Well, it seems it was meant to be this way, although part of the mechanism for our isolation was an electromagnetic grid thrown around the Earth by the Annunaki, preventing our galactic friends from making contact with us, even telepathically. It seems that we were predestined to fall in consciousness so that we could go through a very long learning process, an extended experience of subjugation by the dark side, so that when the time came for our restitution to full consciousness we would know very, very well what the dark side means. And, at the same time, we would recognise and affirm the enduring and compelling nature of the Light, which we experience as love, and joy, compassion and all those positive facets of the human spirit which do endure no matter what. And in that way, we would bring into being a Greater Light, the nature of which will change physicality forever. And the time for that is now.

The Annunaki have been ruling Planet Earth for the last 13,000 years, completely unknown to most of us, but their clawed footprints are everywhere. There is a great deal of archaeological evidence of their existence. You can see something of this on video at the X-Facts website.

I’m quoting this from Sheldan Nidle’s ‘Your First Contact’ book. It mirrors what I’ve read about the Annunaki elsewhere. The words are spoken by Mikala, one of Sirius’ most honoured historians, director of the Galactic Federation of Light’s Institute of Human Exo-Paleontology and one of eleven principal authors of a 209-volume work on inter-stellar humanity: "When Atlantis was destroyed nearly 13,000 years ago, the sole representatives of the so-called, ‘god-like’ master race were the sinister humanoid hybrids (i.e. mainly reptilian, part human), the Annunaki. They ruled your solar system with an iron hand from a former Galactic Federation battle planet you call Nibiru (I mentioned it earlier as having been used to destroy Maldek). Originally lightly crewed by the Pleiadian Star League, it was subsequently overrun by fleeing, armed renegade bands from Atlantis. Nibiru has been the ‘ultimate weapon' kept at the very edge of this solar system since early Atlantean times. The Annunaki used it as their off-world headquarters.

"The Annunaki positioned this enormous planet-sized ship into a highly elliptical orbit with a revolution of nearly 3,600 years. They have ruled your planet from this artificial world, at first openly, and then secretly. Their primary purpose has always been to control by deception, division, and deceit. The Annunaki realised that what they had created in Atlantis was inadequate for executing their various selfish agendas. Accordingly, they adopted extremely sophisticated and diabolical means by which they have ruled your planet for nearly 13,000 years."

Are we talking about the same planet here? Planet Earth? The reptilian hybrid Annunaki have been ruling us for 13,000 years? Where’s the evidence? In what way have they been ruling us? From where?

It doesn’t much feel like we’ve been ruled by reptilians, does it? It doesn’t much feel like we’ve been imprisoned, ensnared, and enslaved, does it? Or does it?

The biggest clue I can offer you, to make this ludicrous suggestion just a tad more likely, is your money situation. Are you in debt? Have you ever been in debt? Have you ever paid interest on a debt of some sort? Ah ha! There you have it!

Have you ever wondered why so many of us are in debt, not just a little bit of debt but seriously big debt? And not just us but whole nations? The National Debt. What is it, who lends us the money, what does it cost us?

Did you know that most of the world’s nations are in debt, including Great Britain, and even the great United States of America? The USA has the largest debt of all, by far. The richest nation has the largest debt. Does this compute with you? To whom is the money owed?

The answer to this conundrum is the banks, particularly the international banks, including the central banks and the well-known banking names, and let’s put Rothschild at the top of the tree because they’ve been at or near the top of the tree since the mid-1700s and still are today.

The banks operate a cartel of sorts, with a common practice, whereby it is they who control and supply the money for all the greatest, most prosperous nations, the nations that are also the most in debt. Meyer Amschel Rothschild, the founding father of one of the world's most powerful financial dynasties, has been quoted, perhaps apocryphally, as having said: "Let me issue and control a nation's money and I care not who writes the laws."

The Rothschilds, the Rockefellers and other great banking family dynasties have an unholy alliance through which they control entire economies, and through them, the world. It is impossible to know the true wealth of these families, because it is spread across so many assets. But it is estimated to run into multi-trillions of dollars or pounds, whichever way you look at it. The Rothschilds, particularly, were financing both sides of wars from the time of Napoleon. They were financing all sides in World War II. They have controlled most if not all of the main manufacturing industries.

The story of how the great banking family dynasties have controlled the world’s economies would fill several books, and there is a vast amount of information about it on the internet. Many people would write this off as conspiracy theorising. But if you were to study our monetary system, you would see how essentially destructive it is, and how many alternatives there could be.

One thing that compels me to believe in the conspiracy theories is my own personal experience of the Rothschilds. They are widely reputed to have been heavily involved with black magic. I used to live at Mentmore Towers in Buckinghamshire. Built around 1848 in an Elizabethan style this was the largest and most magnificent of the Rothschild mansions in England. It was sold in the late 1970s to the Transcendental Meditation organisation and I lived there as House Manager around 1984/85. When you enter the front door and go into the Grand Hall, the most dominating feature is an enormous black marble fireplace, on which are white marble carvings of goat heads and candlesticks and such other symbols which I would understand to be part of black magic. It is a very, very sinister looking structure. I shuddered when I first saw it.

Actually when I think about it, it’s strange how many connections I have to that background. When I had previously lived in Scotland I did some work for the Duke of Argyll who wanted to save Mentmore Towers for the nation, and I lived near Roslyn Chapel near Edinburgh which is connected to Freemasonry and featured in the Da Vinci Code book and film. And I have had lots, and lots, of dealings with many banks. Shudder!

Personally I don’t think the Rothschilds et al are shape-shifting reptilians. I know people who do think so, including some well-known writers on the subject. But I do think such people as the Rothschilds have sold their souls to the reptilians who live out of sight, probably underground or on Nibiru. The reptilians are believed to have powerful mind-control techniques, and can offer vast rewards of money and power to their minions.

On the other hand, the Rothschilds were known to marry only within their family, to keep the bloodline pure, and presumably to keep the karma intact and provide a place for themselves to reincarnate into for each lifetime. It is believed that they create illegitimate offspring to be their minions, people who would be given positions of great power but only as front-men and women to do the bidding of their masters. So there may be a more direct connection between the Rothschilds and the Annunaki, as many people suggest

Whatever, it is clear that the banking families have enormous control over wealth and power in the world.

They don't have the ultimate control, though, because there’s the Jesuits to bring into the picture. To quote Greg Szymanski at arcticbeacon.com, author Eric Jon Phelps says "The Jesuits are a military organisation, not a religious order. Their chief is a general of an army, not the mere father abbot of a monastery. And the aim of this organization is POWER. Power in its most despotic exercise. Absolute power, universal power, power to control the world by the volition of a single man...

"The General of the Jesuits insists on being master, sovereign, over the sovereign. Wherever the Jesuits are admitted they will be masters, cost what it may... Every act, every crime, however atrocious, is a meritorious work, if committed for the interest of the Society of the Jesuits, or by the order of the general."

According to Phelps, the Jesuits truly are the missing "evil link" when it comes to fully understanding how and why America is turning into a fascist state and being used as a second Nazi Germany.

Normally when thinking of the New World Order, one immediately refers to the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission, the Bilderbergers, the Committee of 300, composed of the 17 wealthiest "elite" families, the Rothschilds in England, Rockefellers in America and Bronfmans in Canada.

When it comes to adding the Jesuits in the mix, most people brush them aside, thinking they are just another benign and innocent Catholic order of priests in robes, saying Mass, serving the poor and spreading the word of God.

But think again. Behind the veil of the good lies evil, behind the veil of the deity lies a deadly band of Luciferian followers who are deviously controlling all the most powerful religions and governments in the world, including Judaism, Islam and Christianity.

And according to Phelps, religious researcher and historian and working on Vatican, all the above statements are fact not fiction, as the Jesuits truly are "the evilest of all evils" and the quintessential masters of deception.

"It's just staggering the amount of control the Jesuits really wield throughout the world," reminds Phelps who provides a chart of the Order's corrupt power on his web site at www.vaticanassassins.org.

The following is just a portion of some of the organizations under the Jesuit command, according to Phelps: Under the Jesuit Order, the Illuminati organizations are Council of the 13? of the Bavarian Illuminati, Council of the 33rd degree Masons of the Scottish Rite, The 13 Satanic Bloodlines, The Committee of 300, B'Nai B'Rith and the Grand Orient.

Further, other secret societies found by Phelps to be under the Jesuit control include Freemason (Scottish Rite/York Rite), Skull and Bones, Grand Orient Lodge, Grand Alpha Lodge, Knights Templar, Royal Order of the Garter, Priory de Sion, Rosicrucian's, Thule Society, Knights of Malta, Knights of Columbus and the P2 Lodge.

And going down the chart-list even further what's even more astounding is that most every major religious group, educational group, political group and intelligence organization like the CIA, MI6 and Mossad have been in one way or another infiltrated and under the despotic control of the Jesuits.

Phelps also claims behind the organizations, Kolvenbach, the top Luciferian, is the one calling the shots, pulling the strings and controlling the Pope and top world leaders like George W. Bush and Tony Blair, while leading the whole nasty pack of deceptive "chump chickens" right down the serpent's slippery slope into World War III. Whether the Annunaki are behind the Jesuits, is not clear. To quote from another source: "According to various sources, the German immigrant Rockefellers are not the "top of the ladder" for the world conspiracy. True, they 'control' much of the eco-political system in the UNITED STATES of America, however they are following the agenda of the Bilderberger cult: the 13 Wicca Masons, 13 Black Nobility, and 13 Maltese Jesuits who have joined together UNDER the covering of the Bavarian Illuminati -- which in turn is the modern manifestation of the joint human-alien 'serpent cult' which seems to have had its origins within the ancient underground Masonic systems of Egypt, a cult or collaboration that was brought to Bavaria by the early Germanic Trade Guilds during the height of the so-called Holy Roman (German) Empire." And from another source: "The Illuminati are what you could call the favoured sons of the Annunaki. They are the result of interbreeding between the Annunaki and the early humans here. And they work closely together to control this planet."

What a tangled web they weave! I suspect that although the Annunaki reportedly left the planet in 1995, the plans for world domination laid down by the Jesuits are still being progressed in 2006 as we head towards a World War between East and West - a war that only the ETs can and will stop before it starts.

So what we need to consider now is, in view of the Mayan Calendar ending in 2012, and the waiting ufo fleet, and the U.S. Government aiming for world domination, and the Annunaki having left but their minions such as the bankers carrying through, and the Earth going through physical and spiritual changes, and ourselves ascending into fully-conscious 4th, 5th and 6th dimensional beings, what is likely to happen now?

That’s a very god question. Ooops, typo. Funny how I’ve made that typing error before.

That’s a very good question. And I’m going to make a cup of tea before answering it.....

Firstly, we’re talking about the future, and from what I can gather, no-one can say with any real accuracy what’s going to happen. And the times and events we are approaching are apparently unprecedented in the history of the universe.

Secondly, there are some significant variables to take into account, such as what the Earth is doing and what the remaining dark side will do in response to the growth of the Light.

Thirdly, the population of the Earth is presently around 6 billion. Almost all are living as if nothing out of the ordinary is happening. How will the predicted changes affect them? How can they be supported and encouraged through the changes? And will people get their reward, or their comeuppance? What do they deserve?

I have been reading a considerable amount of material about these things. As time has gone on, I have distilled the various writings into a fairly comprehensive but nevertheless not entirely certain perspective about what is supposedly happening and what actual events may happen from this time on.

I have also been keen to understand how things will work out in the context of people’s everyday lives. Hardly any writers seem to concern themselves with this, but I do. And when it comes to whether the ordinary, average people will get their reward or their comeuppance, I strongly feel they should get their reward because they are victims, not the villains, of the piece.

Most sources say that Earth has to undergo far-reaching physical changes. Some sources say that ETs and the Spiritual Hierarchy will help to minimise the impact of changes on humanity, but most are agreed that humanity is not doing enough to mitigate these impacts by dissipating the negative energies that have been stored up in the Earth over millennia. Actually it’s difficult to imagine how we could do this, other than by dying or being profoundly affected by what we call natural disasters.

Some earthly commentators have predicted earthquakes and volcanic eruptions and climatic phenomena that have failed to materialise, as if these dire predictions are turning out to be exaggerated.

Sheldan Nidle’s ET friends are talking about evacuating Earth’s population either to the inner Earth or to other planets whilst the Earth makes sweeping changes to its surface area. Not exactly terra-forming, as they propose for Mars and Venus, but something so significant that humanity could not survive the process. I think this may happen after the ascension has taken place. More on that later.

It seems possible that there will be a number of sizeable earth movements from this time onwards. These would particularly affect the ‘Ring of Fire’ stretching from the southern Pacific Ocean up the west coast of the Americas, westward through Alaska across the top of the Pacific and then southwards through Japan and Indonesia, and then eastwards and southwards to New Zealand. Not only earthquakes but volcanic eruptions could occur along the Ring of Fire and already there are almost constant events taking place though not of a very great magnitude at the time of writing. There are many other areas that could be affected unexpectedly, as was the Indian Ocean in 2004 and it is said that earth changes will affect everyone to some extent.

These changes could entail large loss of life. As I’ve said above, this could be karmic settlement, or it could be people taking an opportunity to check out of this lifetime as a personal choice in preference to seeing through the ascension process. Whatever, we are encouraged to understand that so-called death is not the end but merely a staging post on our route through eternity. For those who are left, we are best to think of these things in the most positive light possible, and in that way we will be nearest to the truth of the matter.

These changes could also affect the international economy and, of more immediate concern, the food and fuel distribution networks. The globalisation of the economy has left us vulnerable to a breakdown of infrastructure leading to food and fuel shortages which in turn could lead to very unpleasant situations. For this reason I would urge societies and communities to revert to a more self-sufficient and self-reliant way of life. Unfortunately there's not much hope that they would listen. I've already tried in my own area.

We have become too complacent about the security of our food and fuel supplies. It would take very little to disrupt our lives catastrophically. We learnt nothing in the U.K. from the fuel protests in 2000, when but for a settlement of the strike we were about to run out of petrol and diesel. We caught a glimpse of the disaster that such a thing would cause, but we merely resumed our usual complacency and imagined that no such thing would occur in actuality.

Fuel shortages could occur if not through wage demands from tanker drivers then through earthquakes damaging oil pipelines or storage facilities or refineries or off-shore drilling installations. The price of crude oil has been increasing lately because of rising demand from China and India particularly, and disruption to supplies from the Gulf of Mexico following hurricanes there. Any more disruption could push the price to levels where the price of food becomes too high for some of us, and eventually for all of us. Rationing of fuel could occur, with the private motorist being hit hardest. Would we cope?

Food supplies could be disrupted by earthquakes and major volcanic eruptions as farm workers, harvests, farming land, communication routes and national economies are affected. Here in the U.K., despite having some of the best farming land and climate for farming in the world we have little access to home-grown food. We have virtually no sense of self-reliance. We simply assume that someone is organising our food supplies for us. This is true at the present time but we cannot blithely rely on our suppliers always being able to supply. If not, then what? Food riots? Stealing and looting? Worse?

We can no longer deny that the global climate is changing, though there is still controversy over the main cause. My understanding is that the Earth is warming herself up as she transforms herself into a semi-tropical paradise, perhaps slightly cooler at the poles, as she rises in consciousness. This information comes from various sources, extra-terrestrial and spiritual, who are anticipating the changes that Mother Earth will undergo.

It is also compelling to imagine that we ourselves are contributing to global warming through the greenhouse effect caused by our burning of fossil fuels. We must surely be having some impact.

There is, however, it seems, very little we can meaningfully do about global warming. The process appears to be out of our control, both because we cannot stop the Earth from ascending and because we do not have the political will to change our way of life as drastically as would be required. So one way or another, our profligate way of life is soon to be at an end.

Then, and before then, climate change will have a major impact on food-growing. We know already that there is insufficient food being grown in the world, and millions already die from starvation world-wide. Here in the prosperous west we have remained insulated from the threat of starvation but only, if we but knew it, at the expense of those in the developing world whose land and labour we use to feed ourselves. For this we can give thanks to the aforementioned western bankers who have used their power and guile and wile to subjugate the developing world into slavery. We in the west have been the beneficiaries of this global deception. How much longer are we going to turn a blind eye?

To rectify this situation we need to grow our own food. We need to grow as much as we can in our own homes, in our communities, in our towns and cities, in our regions and in our country. Where necessary we need to insist that our politicians and civil servants and farmers unions and environmentalists make these changes happen as soon as possible. This needs to be sooner than many such people would consider possible.

Just as an aside, I used to work for a 70-year old woman who completely transformed my conception of what is possible. She was the leader of the Transcendental Meditation organisation in Britain. She considered it quite to be expected that we should do the impossible twice before breakfast and a miracle before lunchtime. And she was right. It could be done. Now I’m expecting the same of those in power, and I don’t think they’ve been working under the same expectations before now. It’s very liberating to discover how dynamic you can be when you’re really pushed. My colleague at the Pensioners’ Convention where I have worked for the last two years recently frequently described me as ‘dynamite’ - that’s a compliment that the powers-that-would-be should aspire to.

Yes, we need to grow our own food. It may already be too late to make this change by baby-steps. Word has it that 2006 is going to be a tumultuous year, with the possibility of economic collapse in the U.S. and here in the U.K. We can’t wait for food self-sufficiency to be established in two years’ time. So in the meantime we need food stocks to be built up, and I suggest two years' worth of food, including the basics of grains and tinned foods. Frozen foods are too vulnerable to power outages. Vegetables, salad foods and fruit can be grown at home. Sprouted grains are reputedly some of the most nutritious foods available, especially if you grow them at home, and these are easily grown in jars on a warm window sill in summer and in the airing cupboard in winter. Many grains and beans are suitable for sprouting.

As I said earlier, eating meat is not conducive to ascending, so if you’re intending to ascend, it’s to be increasingly a vegetarian diet from now on. Releasing farming land from livestock will contribute towards Britain’s self-sufficiency in grains and vegetables. Dairy foods and eggs are still good, and you will probably need some protein to help your body transform into a higher state. But large amounts of protein are unnecessary and actually harmful, so do not go overboard with milk, cheese and eggs. Grains, fruit and nuts are the ideal, most natural, most sustainable diet.

We cannot be complacent about food supplies any longer. There are too many credible threats to our food supplies. So I urge action at individual, community and town and city level immediately to safeguard food stocks and supplies.

In a community there could be a safe-house in which dry, dried, frozen and tinned food could be stored for future sale or distribution. When the store is full the house can be opened as a shop and the food be replenished as top-up. A community could have its own hydroponic farming units, for fresh vegetables and salad foods such as tomatoes and lettuce. People with gardens could make them available to food-growers from the community, and share the produce. We need to start thinking in a different way if we are to do the most important thing of all - survive.

There’s a lot of information on the internet suggesting that George Bush’s so-called ‘war on terror’ is a reverse-engineered war on Islam. That is, those behind the U.S government, mainly using the CIA to organise it, have set up the whole scenario including Osama bin Laden to foment Islamic fundamentalism against the mainly Christian west. This would be stoked sufficiently to provoke World War III, enabling the U.S. effectively to impose martial law first on the U.S. and then across the world - in other words, total domination of the whole civilised world.

This would include the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Towers as an inside job, together with other such outrages as the Oklahoma bombing.

Even the 7/7 London ‘suicide’ bombings have the same hallmarks of an inside job. In both the 9/11 and 7/7 instances, there were ‘exercises’ going on at precisely the same moment which had the effect of diverting the attention of the legitimate security authorities from what was actually happening. There can be no doubt that the Islamic world has reason to resent both American and British imperialism over the centuries. It is surely not difficult to provoke the resentment of Muslims. Give them a credible figure like Osama bin Laden with the financial resources to train and motivate would-be terrorists and they’re on their way.

And this would be typical of Annunaki-inspired malevolence. Successive U.S. governments have been deeply mired in efforts to become the world’s only Superpower, certainly since the Second World War but even earlier there were signs. Again, one needs to read the alternative histories described on the internet and judge the evidence.

The threat of terrorism is an ideal tool to inspire fear throughout the world. According to channelled messages from spiritual sources, fear is the biggest threat to the Light, because it closes down our receptivity to the Light. It is inescapable that we are constantly fed fear through the media in all its forms. Terrorism is just one more tool, and an effective tool because as its name suggests it spreads extreme fear - terror.

If the ‘war on terror’ is indeed a U.S. tool to spread fear, the U.S. is not going to defeat terror but will keep it going for as long as possible. Most governments in the west are talking about new security measures to prevent terror, but please note that they also restrict personal freedoms. In the U.S., the Patriot Act and Homeland Security are creating a police state with martial law. It’s all very predictable. The powers behind the scenes intend to imprison us and prevent us from ascending. It’s the only way they can stay in control - or so they feel. Actually they’re being ambivalent about this, because they also know that their cause is lost - they cannot prevent ascension. All they can do is their damnedest to make sure they take as many souls with them when they go to hell - as they assuredly will - hell being the place where their evolution starts all over again from scratch and takes a very, very long time. But it could be worse and may well be - their souls could be dissolved back into the infinite and they would cease to be. No wonder they’re going for broke.

Judging by what I’m reading these days, by the time you read this George Bush and his cohorts should have been removed from power and be under house arrest or suchlike.

(December 10th 2006: Well, not yet, but Bush recently lost his power over both Senate and Congress and the wolves are circling. The Bush family has apparently purchased a 100,000 acre ranch in Paraguay - for exile?)

The ETs describe the present U.S. government as ‘the last dark cabal’. That is to say, now that the dark Annunaki have left the planet and joined the forces of Light, only the dark side’s human minions are left. This includes all those who are still bent on taking as much wealth and power as they can, those at the top of such pyramids as the banking industry, the religions, the pharmaceutical industry and other mega trans-national corporations.

Of all those, the executive power is most concentrated in the New World Order or the Project for the New American Century. As we can see, the Bush government seems hell-bent on asserting its diktat throughout the world. And, according to the ETs, they gotta go. Now.

The New World Order, which appears to have been superseded by the much darker Project for the New American Century, has been in the making for almost 100 years. It is significant that despite all such talk it has not yet materialised in its full, imagined potential. This would be, I feel, because the time was not right and collective consciousness did not support it. Nevertheless the bankers, as I described above, fashioned their own world order and achieved much of it. The dark side works behind the scenes, patiently, persistently, inexorably, whereas the light works in full view and only by consent. The concept of New World Order was the child of many good people of good intent, but it was always vulnerable to being usurped by the dark side, as it eventually was by those who are presently behind the Bush government in the U.S., with their Project for the New American Century.

Here is an historical run-down of the hopes and plans for a New World Order and the eventual takeover by the Project for the New American Century. I am indebted to an unknown researcher who compiled the following. I don't think he or she will mind me copying it here:

In the mainline media, those who adhere to the position that there is some kind of "conspiracy" pushing us towards a world government are virulently ridiculed. The standard attack maintains that the so-called "New World Order" is the product of turn-of-the-century, right-wing, bigoted, anti-semitic racists acting in the tradition of the long-debunked Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion, now promulgated by some Militias and other right-wing hate groups.

The historical record does not support that position to any large degree but it has become the mantra of the socialist left and their cronies, the media.

The term "New World Order" has been used thousands of times in this century by proponents in high places of federalized world government. Some of those involved in this collaboration to achieve world order have been Jewish. The preponderance are not, so it most definitely is not a Jewish agenda.

For years, leaders in education, industry, the media, banking, etc., have promoted those with the same Weltanschauung (world view) as theirs. Of course, someone might say that just because individuals promote their friends doesn't constitute a conspiracy. That's true in the usual sense. However, it does represent an "open conspiracy," as described by noted Fabian Socialist H.G. Wells in The Open Conspiracy: Blue Prints for a World Revolution (1928).

In 1913, prior to the passage of the Federal Reserve Act, President Wilson's 'The New Freedom' was published, in which he revealed:

"Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men's views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the U.S., in the field of commerce and manufacturing, are afraid of somebody, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it."

On November 21, 1933, President Franklin Roosevelt wrote a letter to Col. Edward Mandell House, President Woodrow Wilson's close advisor:

"The real truth of the matter is, as you and I know, that a financial element in the larger centers has owned the Government ever since the days of Andrew Jackson... "

That there is such a thing as a cabal of power brokers who control government behind the scenes has been detailed several times in this century by credible sources. Professor Carroll Quigley was Bill Clinton's mentor at Georgetown University. President Clinton has publicly paid homage to the influence Professor Quigley had on his life. In Quigley's magnum opus Tragedy and Hope (1966), he states:

"There does exist and has existed for a generation, an international ... network which operates, to some extent, in the way the radical right believes the Communists act. In fact, this network, which we may identify as the Round Table Groups, has no aversion to cooperating with the Communists, or any other groups and frequently does so. I know of the operations of this network because I have studied it for twenty years and was permitted for two years, in the early 1960s, to examine its papers and secret records. I have no aversion to it or to most of its aims and have, for much of my life, been close to it and to many of its instruments. I have objected, both in the past and recently, to a few of its policies... but in general my chief difference of opinion is that it wishes to remain unknown, and I believe its role in history is significant enough to be known."

Even talk show host Rush Limbaugh, an outspoken critic of anyone claiming a push for global government, said on his February 7, 1995 program:

"You see, if you amount to anything in Washington these days, it is because you have been plucked or handpicked from an Ivy League school -- Harvard, Yale, Kennedy School of Government -- you've shown an aptitude to be a good Ivy League type, and so you're plucked so-to-speak, and you are assigned success. You are assigned a certain role in government somewhere, and then your success is monitored and tracked, and you go where the pluckers and the handpickers can put you."

On May 4, 1993, Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) president Leslie Gelb said on The Charlie Rose Show that:

"... you [Charlie Rose] had me on [before] to talk about the New World Order! I talk about it all the time. It's one world now. The Council [CFR] can find, nurture, and begin to put people in the kinds of jobs this country needs. And that's going to be one of the major enterprises of the Council under me."

Previous CFR chairman, John J. McCloy (1953-70), actually said they have been doing this since the 1940s (and before).

The thrust towards global government can be well-documented but at the end of the twentieth century it does not look like a traditional conspiracy in the usual sense of a secret cabal of evil men meeting clandestinely behind closed doors. Rather, it is a "networking" of like-minded individuals in high places to achieve a common goal, as described in Marilyn Ferguson's 1980 insider classic, The Aquarian Conspiracy.

Perhaps the best way to relate this would be a brief history of the New World Order, not in our words but in the words of those who have been striving to make it real.

1912 -- Colonel Edward M. House, a close advisor of President Woodrow Wilson, publishes Phillip Dru: Administrator in which he promotes "socialism as dreamed of by Karl Marx."

1913 -- The Federal Reserve (neither federal nor a reserve) is created. It was planned at a secret meeting in 1910 on Jekyl Island, Georgia by a group of bankers and politicians, including Col. House. This transferred the power to create money from the American government to a private group of bankers. It is probably the largest generator of debt in the world.

May 30, 1919 -- Prominent British and American personalities establish the Royal Institute of International Affairs in England and the Institute of International Affairs in the U.S. at a meeting arranged by Col. House attended by various Fabian socialists, including noted economist John Maynard Keynes. Two years later, Col. House reorganizes the Institute of International Affairs into the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).

December 15, 1922 -- The CFR endorses World Government in its magazine Foreign Affairs. Author Philip Kerr, states:

"Obviously there is going to be no peace or prosperity for mankind as long as [the earth] remains divided into 50 or 60 independent states until some kind of international system is created. The real problem today is that of the world government."

1928 -- The Open Conspiracy: Blue Prints for a World Revolution by H.G. Wells is published. A former Fabian Socialist, Wells writes:

"The political world of the ... Open Conspiracy must weaken, efface, incorporate and supersede existing governments... The Open Conspiracy is the natural inheritor of socialist and communist enthusiasms; it may be in control of Moscow before it is in control of New York... The character of the Open Conspiracy will now be plainly displayed... It will be a world religion."

"One day we shall start to spread the most theatrical peace movement the world has ever seen. The capitalist countries, stupid and decadent ... will fall into the trap offered by the possibility of making new friends. Our day will come in 30 years or so... The bourgeoisie must be lulled into a false sense of security."

1931 -- In a speech to the Institute for the Study of International Affairs at Copenhagen) historian Arnold Toynbee said:

"We are at present working discreetly with all our might to wrest this mysterious force called sovereignty out of the clutches of the local nation states of the world. All the time we are denying with our lips what we are doing with our hands...."

Toward Soviet America by William Z. Foster. Head of the Communist Party USA, Foster indicates that a National Department of Education would be one of the means used to develop a new socialist society in the U.S.

The New World Order by F.S. Marvin, describing the League of Nations as the first attempt at a New World Order. Marvin says, "nationality must rank below the claims of mankind as a whole."

Dare the School Build a New Social Order? is published. Educator author George Counts asserts that:

"... the teachers should deliberately reach for power and then make the most of their conquest" in order to "influence the social attitudes, ideals and behavior of the coming generation... The growth of science and technology has carried us into a new age where ignorance must be replaced by knowledge, competition by cooperation, trust in Providence by careful planning and private capitalism by some form of social economy."

1933 -- The first Humanist Manifesto is published. Co-author John Dewey, the noted philosopher and educator, calls for a synthesizing of all religions and "a socialized and cooperative economic order." Co-signer C.F. Potter said in 1930:

"Education is thus a most powerful ally of humanism, and every American public school is a school of humanism. What can the theistic Sunday schools, meeting for an hour once a week, teaching only a fraction of the children, do to stem the tide of a five-day program of humanistic teaching?"

1933 -- The Shape of Things to Come by H.G. Wells is published. Wells predicts a second world war around 1940, originating from a German-Polish dispute. After 1945 there would be an increasing lack of public safety in "criminally infected" areas. The plan for the "Modern World-State" would succeed on its third attempt (about 1980), and come out of something that occurred in Basra, Iraq. The book also states,

"Although world government had been plainly coming for some years, although it had been endlessly feared and murmured against, it found no opposition prepared anywhere."

1934 -- The Externalization of the Hierarchy by Alice A. Bailey is published. Bailey is an occultist, whose works are channelled from a spirit guide, the Tibetan Master [demon spirit] Djwahl Kuhl. Bailey uses the phrase "points of light" in connection with a "New Group of World Servers" and claims that 1934 marks the beginning of "the organizing of the men and women... group work of a new order... [with] progress defined by service... the world of the Brotherhood... the Forces of Light... [and] out of the spoliation of all existing culture and civilization, the new world order must be built."

The book is published by the Lucis Trust, incorporated originally in New York as the Lucifer Publishing Company. Lucis Trust is a United Nations NGO and has been a major player at the recent U.N. summits. Later Assistant Secretary General of the U.N. Robert Mueller would credit the creation of his World Core Curriculum for education to the underlying teachings of Djwahl Kuhl via Alice Bailey's writings on the subject.

1932 -- Plan for Peace by American Birth Control League founder Margaret Sanger (1921) is published. She calls for coercive sterilization, mandatory segregation, and rehabilitative concentration camps for all "dysgenic stocks" including Blacks, Hispanics, American Indians and Catholics.

October 28, 1939 -- In an address by John Foster Dulles, later U.S. Secretary of State, he proposes that America lead the transition to a new order of less independent, semi-sovereign states bound together by a league or federal union.

1939 -- New World Order by H. G. Wells proposes a collectivist one-world state"´ or "new world order" comprised of "socialist democracies." He advocates "universal conscription for service" and declares that "nationalist individualism... is the world's disease." He continues:

"The manifest necessity for some collective world control to eliminate warfare and the less generally admitted necessity for a collective control of the economic and biological life of mankind, are aspects of one and the same process." He proposes that this be accomplished through "universal law" and propaganda (or education)."

1940 -- The New World Order is published by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and contains a select list of references on regional and world federation, together with some special plans for world order after the war.

December 12, 1940 -- In The Congressional Record an article entitled A New World Order John G. Alexander calls for a world federation.

1942 -- The leftist Institute of Pacific Relations publishes Post War Worlds by P.E. Corbett:

"World government is the ultimate aim... It must be recognized that the law of nations takes precedence over national law... The process will have to be assisted by the deletion of the nationalistic material employed in educational textbooks and its replacement by material explaining the benefits of wiser association."

"It will be just as easy for nations to get along in a republic of the world as it is for us to get along in a republic of the United States."

October 24, 1945 -- The United Nations Charter becomes effective. Also on October 24, Senator Glen Taylor (D-Idaho) introduces Senate Resolution 183 calling upon the U.S. Senate to go on record as favouring the creation of a world republic including an international police force.

1946 -- Alger Hiss is elected President of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Hiss holds this office until 1949. Early in 1950, he is convicted of perjury and sentenced to prison after a sensational trial and Congressional hearing in which Whittaker Chambers, a former senior editor of Time, testifies that Hiss was a member of his Communist Party cell.

1946 -- The Teacher and World Government by former editor of the NEA Journal (National Education Association) Joy Elmer Morgan is published. He says:

"In the struggle to establish an adequate world government, the teacher... can do much to prepare the hearts and minds of children for global understanding and cooperation... At the very heart of all the agencies which will assure the coming of world government must stand the school, the teacher, and the organized profession."

1947 -- The American Education Fellowship, formerly the Progressive Education Association, organized by John Dewey, calls for the:

"... establishment of a genuine world order, an order in which national sovereignty is subordinate to world authority... "

October, 1947 -- NEA Associate Secretary William Carr writes in the NEA Journal that teachers should:

"... teach about the various proposals that have been made for the strengthening of the United Nations and the establishment of a world citizenship and world government."

1948 -- Walden II by behavioural psychologist B.F. Skinner proposes "a perfect society or new and more perfect order" in which children are reared by the State, rather than by their parents and are trained from birth to demonstrate only desirable behavior and characteristics. Skinner's ideas would be widely implemented by educators in the 1960s, 70s, and 80s as Values Clarification and Outcome Based Education.

July, 1948 -- Britain's Sir Harold Butler, in the CFR's Foreign Affairs, sees "a New World Order" taking shape:

"How far can the life of nations, which for centuries have thought of themselves as distinct and unique, be merged with the life of other nations? How far are they prepared to sacrifice a part of their sovereignty without which there can be no effective economic or political union?... Out of the prevailing confusion a new world is taking shape... which may point the way toward the new order... That will be the beginning of a real United Nations, no longer crippled by a split personality, but held together by a common faith."

1948 -- UNESCO president and Fabian Socialist, Sir Julian Huxley, calls for a radical eugenic policy in UNESCO: Its Purpose and Its Philosophy. He states:

"Thus, even though it is quite true that any radical eugenic policy of controlled human breeding will be for many years politically and psychologically impossible, it will be important for UNESCO to see that the eugenic problem is examined with the greatest care and that the public mind is informed of the issues at stake that much that is now unthinkable may at least become thinkable."

1948 -- The preliminary draft of a World Constitution is published by U.S. educators advocating regional federation on the way toward world federation or government with England incorporated into a European federation.

The Constitution provides for a "World Council" along with a "Chamber of Guardians" to enforce world law. Also included is a "Preamble" calling upon nations to surrender their arms to the world government, and includes the right of this "Federal Republic of the World" to seize private property for federal use.

February 9, 1950 -- The Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee introduces Senate Concurrent Resolution 66 which begins:

"Whereas, in order to achieve universal peace and justice, the present Charter of the United Nations should be changed to provide a true world government constitution."

The resolution was first introduced in the Senate on September 13, 1949 by Senator Glen Taylor (D-Idaho). Senator Alexander Wiley (R-Wisconsin) called it "a consummation devoutly to be wished for" and said, "I understand your proposition is either change the United Nations, or change or create, by a separate convention, a world order." Senator Taylor later stated:

"We would have to sacrifice considerable sovereignty to the world organization to enable them to levy taxes in their own right to support themselves."

1950 -- In testimony before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, international financier James P Warburg said:

"we shall have a world government, whether or not we like it. The question is only whether world government will be achieved by consent or by conquest."

April 12, 1952 -- John Foster Dulles, later to become Secretary of State, says in a speech to the American Bar Association in Louisville, Kentucky, that "treaty laws can override the Constitution." He says treaties can take power away from Congress and give them to the President. They can take powers from the States and give them to the Federal Government or to some international body and they can cut across the rights given to the people by their constitutional Bill of Rights. A Senate amendment, proposed by GOP Senator John Bricker, would have provided that no treaty could supersede the Constitution, but it fails to pass by one vote.

1954 -- Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands establishes the Bilderbergers, international politicians and bankers who meet secretly on an annual basis.

1954 -- H. Rowan Gaither, Jr., President - Ford Foundation said to Norman Dodd of the Congressional Reese Commission:

"... all of us here at the policy-making level have had experience with directives... from the White House... . The substance of them is that we shall use our grant-making power so as to alter our life in the United States that we can be comfortably merged with the Soviet Union."

"Today the path to total dictatorship in the United States can be laid by strictly legal means, unseen and unheard by the Congress, the President, or the people... outwardly we have a Constitutional government. We have operating within our government and political system, another body representing another form of government, a bureaucratic elite which believes our Constitution is outmoded and is sure that it is the winning side.... All the strange developments in the foreign policy agreements may be traced to this group who are going to make us over to suit their pleasure.... This political action group has its own local political support organizations, its own pressure groups, its own vested interests, its foothold within our government, and its own propaganda apparatus."

1958 -- World Peace through World Law is published, where authors Grenville Clark and Louis Sohn advocate using the U.N. as a governing body for the world, world disarmament, a world police force and legislature.

1959 -- The Council on Foreign Relations calls for a New International Order Study Number 7, issued on November 25, advocated:

"... new international order [which] must be responsive to world aspirations for peace, for social and economic change... an international order... including states labelling themselves as ´socialist´ [communist]."

1959 -- The World Constitution and Parliament Association is founded which later develops a Diagram of World Government under the Constitution for the Federation of Earth.

1959 -- The Mid-Century Challenge to U.S. Foreign Policy is published, sponsored by the Rockefeller Brothers´ Fund. It explains that the U.S.:

"... cannot escape, and indeed should welcome... the task which history has imposed on us. This is the task of helping to shape a new world order in all its dimensions -- spiritual, economic, political, social."

September 9, 1960 -- President Eisenhower signs Senate Joint Resolution 170, promoting the concept of a federal Atlantic Union. Pollster and Atlantic Union Committee treasurer, Elmo Roper, later delivers an address titled, The Goal Is Government of All the World, in which he states:

"For it becomes clear that the first step toward World Government cannot be completed until we have advanced on the four fronts: the economic, the military, the political and the social."

1961 -- The U.S. State Department issues a plan to disarm all nations and arm the United Nations. State Department Document Number 7277 is entitled Freedom From War: The U.S. Program for General and Complete Disarmament in a Peaceful World. It details a three-stage plan to disarm all nations and arm the U.N. with the final stage in which "no state would have the military power to challenge the progressively strengthened U.N. Peace Force."

March 1, 1962 -- Sen. Clark speaking on the floor of the Senate about PL 87-297 which calls for the disbanding of all armed forces and the prohibition of their re-establishment in any form whatsoever. "... This program is the fixed, determined and approved policy of the government of the United States."

1962 -- New Calls for World Federalism. In a study titled, A World Effectively Controlled by the United Nations, CFR member Lincoln Bloomfield states:

"... if the communist dynamic was greatly abated, the West might lose whatever incentive it has for world government."

The Future of Federalism by author Nelson Rockefeller is published. The one-time Governor of New York, claims that current events compellingly demand a "new world order," as the old order is crumbling, and there is "a new and free order struggling to be born." Rockefeller says there is:

"a fever of nationalism... [but] the nation-state is becoming less and less competent to perform its international political tasks....These are some of the reasons pressing us to lead vigorously toward the true building of a new world order... [with] voluntary service... and our dedicated faith in the brotherhood of all mankind.... Sooner perhaps than we may realize... there will evolve the bases for a federal structure of the free world."

1963 -- J. William Fulbright, Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee speaks at a symposium sponsored by the Fund for the Republic, a left-wing project of the Ford Foundation:

"The case for government by elites is irrefutable... government by the people is possible but highly improbable."

1964 -- Taxonomy of Educational Objectives, Handbook II is published. Author Benjamin Bloom states:

"... a large part of what we call ´good teaching´ is the teacher's ability to attain affective objectives through challenging the students´ fixed beliefs."

His Outcome-Based Education (OBE) method of teaching would first be tried as Mastery Learning in Chicago schools. After five years, Chicago students´ test scores had plummeted causing outrage among parents. OBE would leave a trail of wreckage wherever it would be tried and under whatever name it would be used. At the same time, it would become crucial to globalists for overhauling the education system to promote attitude changes among school students.

"progressive educators as a ´revolutionary cabal´ engaged in ´a systematic attempt to undermine society's traditions and beliefs.´"

1967 -- Richard Nixon calls for New World Order. In Asia after Vietnam, in the October issue of Foreign Affairs, Nixon writes of nations´ dispositions to evolve regional approaches to development needs and to the evolution of a "new world order."

1968 -- Joy Elmer Morgan, former editor of the NEA Journal publishes The American Citizens Handbook in which he says:

"the coming of the United Nations and the urgent necessity that it evolve into a more comprehensive form of world government places upon the citizens of the United States an increased obligation to make the most of their citizenship which now widens into active world citizenship."

July 26, 1968 -- Nelson Rockefeller pledges support of the New World Order. In an Associated Press report, Rockefeller pledges that, "as President, he would work toward international creation of a new world order."

1970 -- Education and the mass media promote world order. In Thinking About A New World Order for the Decade 1990, author Ian Baldwin, Jr. asserts that:

"... the World Law Fund has begun a worldwide research and educational program that will introduce a new, emerging discipline -- world order -- into educational curricula throughout the world... and to concentrate some of its energies on bringing basic world order concepts into the mass media again on a worldwide level."

1972 -- President Nixon visits China. In his toast to Chinese Premier Chou En-lai, former CFR member and now President, Richard Nixon, expresses "the hope that each of us has to build a new world order."

May 18, 1972 -- In speaking of the coming of world government, Roy M. Ash, director of the Office of Management and Budget, declares that:

"within two decades the institutional framework for a world economic community will be in place... [and] aspects of individual sovereignty will be given over to a supernational authority."

1973 -- The Trilateral Commission is established. Banker David Rockefeller organizes this new private body and chooses Zbigniew Brzezinski, later National Security Advisor to President Carter, as the Commission's first director and invites Jimmy Carter to become a founding member.

"The next century can be and should be the humanistic century... we stand at the dawn of a new age... a secular society on a planetary scale.... As non-theists we begin with humans not God, nature not deity... we deplore the division of humankind on nationalistic grounds.... Thus we look to the development of a system of world law and a world order based upon transnational federal government.... The true revolution is occurring."

April, 1974 -- Former U. S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Trilateralist and CFR member Richard Gardner's article The Hard Road to World Order is published in the CFR's Foreign Affairs where he states that:

"the ´house of world order´ will have to be built from the bottom up rather than from the top down... but an end run around national sovereignty, eroding it piece by piece, will accomplish much more than the old-fashioned frontal assault."

1974 -- The World Conference of Religion for Peace, held in Louvain, Belgium is held. Douglas Roche presents a report entitled We Can Achieve a New World Order.

The U.N. calls for wealth redistribution: In a report entitled New International Economic Order, the U.N. General Assembly outlines a plan to redistribute the wealth from the rich to the poor nations.

1975 -- A study titled, A New World Order, is published by the Center of International Studies, Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Studies, Princeton University.

1975 -- In Congress, 32 Senators and 92 Representatives sign A Declaration of Interdependence, written by historian Henry Steele Commager. The Declaration states that:

"we must join with others to bring forth a new world order... Narrow notions of national sovereignty must not be permitted to curtail that obligation."

"It calls for the surrender of our national sovereignty to international organizations. It declares that our economy should be regulated by international authorities. It proposes that we enter a ´new world order´ that would redistribute the wealth created by the American people."

1975 -- Retired Navy Admiral Chester Ward, former Judge Advocate General of the U.S. Navy and former CFR member, writes in a critique that the goal of the CFR is the "submergence of U. S. sovereignty and national independence into an all powerful one-world government... "

1975 -- Kissinger on the Couch is published. Authors Phyllis Schlafly and former CFR member Chester Ward state:

"Once the ruling members of the CFR have decided that the U.S. government should espouse a particular policy, the very substantial research facilities of the CFR are put to work to develop arguments, intellectual and emotional, to support the new policy and to confound, discredit, intellectually and politically, any opposition... "

1976 -- RIO: Reshaping the International Order is published by the globalist Club of Rome, calling for a new international order, including an economic redistribution of wealth.

1977 -- The Third Try at World Order is published. Author Harlan Cleveland of the Aspen Institute for Humanistic Studies calls for:

"changing Americans´ attitudes and institutions" for "complete disarmament (except for international soldiers)" and "for individual entitlement to food, health and education."

1977 -- Imperial Brain Trust by Laurence Shoup and William Minter is published. The book takes a critical look at the Council on Foreign Relations with chapters such as: Shaping a New World Order: The Council's Blueprint for Global Hegemony, 1939-1944 and Toward the 1980´s: The Council's Plans for a New World Order.

1977 -- The Trilateral Connection appears in the July edition of Atlantic Monthly. Written by Jeremiah Novak, it says:

"For the third time in this century, a group of American schools, businessmen, and government officials is planning to fashion a New World Order... "

1977 -- Leading educator Mortimer Adler publishes Philosopher at Large in which he says:

"... if local civil government is necessary for local civil peace, then world civil government is necessary for world peace."

1979 -- Barry Goldwater, retiring Republican Senator from Arizona, publishes his autobiography With No Apologies. He writes:

"In my view The Trilateral Commission represents a skillful, coordinated effort to seize control and consolidate the four centers of power -- political, monetary, intellectual, and ecclesiastical. All this is to be done in the interest of creating a more peaceful, more productive world community. What the Trilateralists truly intend is the creation of a worldwide economic power superior to the political governments of the nation-states involved. They believe the abundant materialism they propose to create will overwhelm existing differences. As managers and creators of the system they will rule the future."

"The framers of the U.S. constitution have simply been too shrewd for us. The have outwitted us. They designed separate institutions that cannot be unified by mechanical linkages, frail bridges, tinkering. If we are to ´turn the Founders upside down´ -- we must directly confront the constitutional structure they erected."

1985 -- Norman Cousins, the honorary chairman of Planetary Citizens for the World We Chose, is quoted in Human Events:

"World government is coming, in fact, it is inevitable. No arguments for or against it can change that fact."

Cousins was also president of the World Federalist Association, an affiliate of the World Association for World Federation (WAWF), headquartered in Amsterdam. WAWF is a leading force for world federal government and is accredited by the U.N. as a Non-Governmental Organization.

1987 -- The Secret Constitution and the Need for Constitutional Change is sponsored in part by the Rockefeller Foundation. Some thoughts of author Arthur S. Miller are:

"... a pervasive system of thought control exists in the United States... the citizenry is indoctrinated by employment of the mass media and the system of public education... people are told what to think about... the old order is crumbling... Nationalism should be seen as a dangerous social disease... A new vision is required to plan and manage the future, a global vision that will transcend national boundaries and eliminate the poison of nationalistic solutions... a new Constitution is necessary."

1988 -- Former Under-secretary of State and CFR member George Ball in a January 24 interview in the New York Times says:

"The Cold War should no longer be the kind of obsessive concern that it is. Neither side is going to attack the other deliberately... If we could internationalize by using the U.N. in conjunction with the Soviet Union, because we now no longer have to fear, in most cases, a Soviet veto, then we could begin to transform the shape of the world and might get the U.N. back to doing something useful... Sooner or later we are going to have to face restructuring our institutions so that they are not confined merely to the nation-states. Start first on a regional and ultimately you could move to a world basis."

December 7, 1988 -- In an address to the U.N., Mikhail Gorbachev calls for mutual consensus:

"World progress is only possible through a search for universal human consensus as we move forward to a new world order."

May 12, 1989 -- President Bush invites the Soviets to join World Order. Speaking to the graduating class at Texas A&M University, Mr. Bush states that the United States is ready to welcome the Soviet Union "back into the world order."

1989 -- Carl Bernstein´s (Woodward and Bernstein of Watergate fame) book Loyalties: A Son's Memoir is published. His father and mother had been members of the Communist party. Bernstein´s father tells his son about the book:

"You're going to prove [Sen. Joseph] McCarthy was right, because all he was saying is that the system was loaded with Communists. And he was right... I'm worried about the kind of book you're going to write and about cleaning up McCarthy. The problem is that everybody said he was a liar; you're saying he was right... I agree that the Party was a force in the country."

1990 -- The World Federalist Association faults the American press. Writing in their Summer/Fall newsletter, Deputy Director Eric Cox describes world events over the past year or two and declares:

"It's sad but true that the slow-witted American press has not grasped the significance of most of these developments. But most federalists know what is happening... And they are not frightened by the old bug-a-boo of sovereignty."

September 11, 1990 -- President Bush calls the Gulf War an opportunity for the New World Order. In an address to Congress entitled Toward a New World Order, Mr. Bush says:

"The crisis in the Persian Gulf offers a rare opportunity to move toward an historic period of cooperation. Out of these troubled times... a new world order can emerge in which the nations of the world, east and west, north and south, can prosper and live in harmony.... Today the new world is struggling to be born."

September 25, 1990 -- In an address to the U.N., Soviet Foreign Minister Eduard Shevardnadze describes Iraq's invasion of Kuwait as "an act of terrorism [that] has been perpetrated against the emerging New World Order." On December 31, Gorbachev declares that the New World Order would be ushered in by the Gulf Crisis.

"... collective strength of the world community expressed by the U.N. ... an historic movement towards a new world order... a new partnership of nations... a time when humankind came into its own... to bring about a revolution of the spirit and the mind and begin a journey into a... new age."

1991 -- Author Linda MacRae-Campbell publishes How to Start a Revolution at Your School in the publication In Context. She promotes the use of "change agents" as "self-acknowledged revolutionaries" and "co-conspirators."

"What is at stake is more than one small country, it is a big idea -- a new world order... to achieve the universal aspirations of mankind... based on shared principles and the rule of law.... The illumination of a thousand points of light.... The winds of change are with us now."

"My vision of a new world order foresees a United Nations with a revitalized peacekeeping function."

June, 1991 -- The Council on Foreign Relations co-sponsors an assembly Rethinking America's Security: Beyond Cold War to New World Order which is attended by 65 prestigious members of government, labor, academia, the media, military, and the professions from nine countries. Later, several of the conference participants joined some 100 other world leaders for another closed door meeting of the Bilderberg Society in Baden Baden, Germany. The Bilderbergers also exert considerable clout in determining the foreign policies of their respective governments. While at that meeting, David Rockefeller said in a speech:

"We are grateful to the Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries."

July, 1991 -- The Southeastern World Affairs Institute discusses the New World Order. In a programme, topics include, Legal Structures for a New World Order and The United Nations: From its Conception to a New World Order. Participants include a former director of the U.N.´s General Legal Division, and a former Secretary General of International Planned Parenthood.

Late July, 1991 -- On a Cable News Network programme, CFR member and former CIA director Stansfield Turner (Rhodes scholar), when asked about Iraq, responded:

"We have a much bigger objective. We've got to look at the long run here. This is an example -- the situation between the United Nations and Iraq -- where the United Nations is deliberately intruding into the sovereignty of a sovereign nation... Now this is a marvelous precedent (to be used in) all countries of the world... "

October 29, 1991 -- David Funderburk, former U. S. Ambassador to Romania, tells a North Carolina audience:

"George Bush has been surrounding himself with people who believe in one-world government. They believe that the Soviet system and the American system are converging." The vehicle to bring this about, said Funderburk, is the United Nations, "the majority of whose 166 member states are socialist, atheist, and anti-American."

Funderburk served as ambassador in Bucharest from 1981 to 1985, when he resigned in frustration over U.S. support of the oppressive regime of the late Rumanian dictator, Nicolae Ceausescu.

October 30, 1991: -- President Gorbachev at the Middle East Peace Talks in Madrid states:

"We are beginning to see practical support. And this is a very significant sign of the movement towards a new era, a new age... We see both in our country and elsewhere... ghosts of the old thinking... When we rid ourselves of their presence, we will be better able to move toward a new world order... relying on the relevant mechanisms of the United Nations."

Elsewhere, in Alexandria, Virginia, Elena Lenskaya, Counsellor to the Minister of Education of Russia, delivers the keynote address for a programme titled, Education for a New World Order.

1992 -- The Twilight of Sovereignty by CFR member (and former Citicorp Chairman) Walter Wriston is published, in which he claims:

"A truly global economy will require ... compromises of national sovereignty... There is no escaping the system."

1992 -- The United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) Earth Summit takes place in Rio de Janeiro this year, headed by Conference Secretary-General Maurice Strong. The main products of this summit are the Biodiversity Treaty and Agenda 21, which the U.S. hesitates to sign because of opposition at home due to the threat to sovereignty and economics. The summit says the first world's wealth must be transferred to the third world.

July 20, 1992 -- Time magazine publishes The Birth of the Global Nation by Strobe Talbott, Rhodes Scholar, roommate of Bill Clinton at Oxford University, CFR Director, and Trilateralist, in which he writes:

"All countries are basically social arrangements... No matter how permanent or even sacred they may seem at any one time, in fact they are all artificial and temporary... Perhaps national sovereignty wasn't such a great idea after all... But it has taken the events in our own wondrous and terrible century to clinch the case for world government."

As an editor of Time, Talbott defended Clinton during his presidential campaign. He was appointed by President Clinton as the number two person at the State Department behind Secretary of State Warren Christopher, former Trilateralist and former CFR Vice-Chairman and Director. Talbott was confirmed by about two-thirds of the U.S. Senate despite his statement about the unimportance of national sovereignty.

September 29, 1992 -- At a town hall meeting in Los Angeles, Trilateralist and former CFR president Winston Lord delivers a speech titled Changing Our Ways: America and the New World, in which he remarks:

"To a certain extent, we are going to have to yield some of our sovereignty, which will be controversial at home... [Under] the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)... some Americans are going to be hurt as low-wage jobs are taken away."

"It is the sacred principles enshrined in the United Nations charter to which the American people will henceforth pledge their allegiance."

Winter, 1992-93 -- The CFR's Foreign Affairs publishes Empowering the United Nations by U.N. Secretary General Boutros-Boutros Ghali, who asserts:

"It is undeniable that the centuries-old doctrine of absolute and exclusive sovereignty no longer stands... Underlying the rights of the individual and the rights of peoples is a dimension of universal sovereignty that resides in all humanity... It is a sense that increasingly finds expression in the gradual expansion of international law... In this setting the significance of the United Nations should be evident and accepted."

1993 -- Strobe Talbott receives the Norman Cousins Global Governance Award for his 1992 Time article, The Birth of the Global Nation and in appreciation for what he has done "for the cause of global governance." President Clinton writes a letter of congratulation which states:

"Norman Cousins worked for world peace and world government.... Strobe Talbott's lifetime achievements as a voice for global harmony have earned him this recognition... He will be a worthy recipient of the Norman Cousins Global Governance Award. Best wishes... for future success."

Not only does President Clinton use the specific term, "world government," but he also expressly wishes the WFA "future success" in pursuing world federal government. Talbott proudly accepts the award, but says the WFA should have given it to the other nominee, Mikhail Gorbachev.

July 18, 1993 -- CFR member and Trilateralist Henry Kissinger writes in the Los Angeles Times concerning NAFTA:

"What Congress will have before it is not a conventional trade agreement but the architecture of a new international system... a first step toward a new world order."

August 23, 1993 -- Christopher Hitchens, Socialist friend of Bill Clinton when he was at Oxford University, says in a C-SPAN interview:

"... it is, of course the case that there is a ruling class in this country, and that it has allies internationally."

October 30, 1993 -- Washington Post ombudsman Richard Harwood does an op-ed piece about the role of the CFR's media members:

"Their membership is an acknowledgment of their ascension into the American ruling class [where] they do not merely analyze and interpret foreign policy for the United States; they help make it."

January/February, 1994 -- The CFR's Foreign Affairs prints an opening article by CFR Senior Fellow Michael Clough in which he writes that the "Wise Men" (e.g. Paul Nitze, Dean Acheson, George Kennan, and John J. McCloy) have:

"assiduously guarded it [American foreign policy] for the past 50 years... They ascended to power during World War II... This was as it should be. National security and the national interest, they argued must transcend the special interests and passions of the people who make up America... How was this small band of Atlantic-minded internationalists able to triumph ... Eastern internationalists were able to shape and staff the burgeoning foreign policy institutions... As long as the Cold War endured and nuclear Armageddon seemed only a missile away, the public was willing to tolerate such an undemocratic foreign policy making system."

1994 -- In the Human Development Report, published by the UN Development Program, there was a section called "Global Governance For the 21st Century". The administrator for this program was appointed by Bill Clinton. His name is James Gustave Speth. The opening sentence of the report said:

"Mankind's problems can no longer be solved by national government. What is needed is a World Government. This can best be achieved by strengthening the United Nations system."

1995 -- The State of the World Forum took place in the fall of this year, sponsored by the Gorbachev Foundation located at the Presidio in San Francisco. Foundation President Jim Garrison chairs the meeting of who's-whos from around the world including Margaret Thatcher, Maurice Strong, George Bush, Mikhail Gorbachev and others. Conversation centers around the oneness of mankind and the coming global government. However, the term "global governance" is now used in place of "new world order" since the latter has become a political liability, being a lightning rod for opponents of global government.

1996 -- The United Nations 420-page report Our Global Neighborhood is published. It outlines a plan for "global governance," calling for an international Conference on Global Governance in 1998 for the purpose of submitting to the world the necessary treaties and agreements for ratification by the year 2000.

In 1997, twenty-five of the most prominent people, almost all men, wrote a Statement of Principles for the Project for the New American Century, clearly intending that America should be the prime controller of a world order. It is this group, whether the original twenty-five or now somewhat extended and changed from the original twenty-five, who are what the ETs refer to as 'the last dark cabal'. The Statement of Principles and the actions of the U.S. government since 1997 certainly do have an unmistakeable tone of dark intent:

"American foreign and defense policy is adrift. Conservatives have criticized the incoherent policies of the Clinton Administration. They have also resisted isolationist impulses from within their own ranks. But conservatives have not confidently advanced a strategic vision of America's role in the world. They have not set forth guiding principles for American foreign policy. They have allowed differences over tactics to obscure potential agreement on strategic objectives. And they have not fought for a defense budget that would maintain American security and advance American interests in the new century.

We aim to change this. We aim to make the case and rally support for American global leadership.

As the 20th century draws to a close, the United States stands as the world's pre-eminent power. Having led the West to victory in the Cold War, America faces an opportunity and a challenge: Does the United States have the vision to build upon the achievements of past decades? Does the United States have the resolve to shape a new century favorable to American principles and interests?

We are in danger of squandering the opportunity and failing the challenge. We are living off the capital -- both the military investments and the foreign policy achievements -- built up by past administrations. Cuts in foreign affairs and defense spending, inattention to the tools of statecraft, and inconstant leadership are making it increasingly difficult to sustain American influence around the world. And the promise of short-term commercial benefits threatens to override strategic considerations. As a consequence, we are jeopardizing the nation's ability to meet present threats and to deal with potentially greater challenges that lie ahead.

We seem to have forgotten the essential elements of the Reagan Administration's success: a military that is strong and ready to meet both present and future challenges; a foreign policy that boldly and purposefully promotes American principles abroad; and national leadership that accepts the United States' global responsibilities.

Of course, the United States must be prudent in how it exercises its power. But we cannot safely avoid the responsibilities of global leadership or the costs that are associated with its exercise. America has a vital role in maintaining peace and security in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. If we shirk our responsibilities, we invite challenges to our fundamental interests. The history of the 20th century should have taught us that it is important to shape circumstances before crises emerge, and to meet threats before they become dire. The history of this century should have taught us to embrace the cause of American leadership.

Our aim is to remind Americans of these lessons and to draw their consequences for today. Here are four consequences:

Such a Reaganite policy of military strength and moral clarity may not be fashionable today. But it is necessary if the United States is to build on the successes of this past century and to ensure our security and our greatness in the next."

From the above one might gain the impression that the west, and America in particular, feels it is morally justified in ruling the world by its own standards. One does not have to look very far for compelling evidence to the contrary - that it certainly is not justified in thinking so.

The ETs feel they cannot make widespread first contact with us until the Bush government has gone, because they say it isn’t safe for them. They believe they will be attacked by the military forces of the west. The Spiritual Hierarchy appears to agree.

According to messages recently published on the internet from several higher-dimensional sources, the Bush government, or at least those very few people in positions of real power, is still very dangerous and could deploy technologies of a kind powerful enough to destroy the planet. The ETs say they will not allow this to happen, and they keep an ever-watchful eye on what is being discussed or planned or executed.

The Americans have, reportedly, had extra-terrestrial technology for decades, and have an arsenal of extraordinary weapons at their disposal. It seems the development of many high technologies on Earth over the last few decades has owed much to extra-terrestrial sources. And indeed the ETs reputedly gave us such ideas as the internet which has proved such a boon in teaching us what we never hear through the mainstream media.

However, the ETs have higher technologies still, and can neutralise anything the Americans try to use. ET technology can penetrate any private room or facility above or below ground, and they routinely monitor discussions and happenings wherever there are goings-on that could affect the divine plan which they are helping to unfold.

What the ETs cannot control so easily is our own part in this plan. They are not allowed to intervene directly in our affairs, and it is for us to play our part, as it is our learning experience and our karmic responsibility. We must, as far as is possible, take it upon ourselves to deal with the situation of U.S. government misdemeanour; and U.K. government misdemeanour too.

The ETs have been given, however, a dispensation from a very high level of the Spiritual Hierarchy to intervene if the Bush government does anything which seriously jeopardises how the plan is to work out, and in any case the ‘divine right time’ is fast approaching when First Contact must be made, regardless. By all accounts this is to take place during 2006, and sooner rather than later.

On the one hand, flu pandemics seem to be a natural phenomenon, caused by the proximity of humans to birds or some other source; and on the other there is a good deal of credibility given to the idea that viruses and bacteria have been deliberately developed to reduce the human population. The AIDS virus is one of these.

Many leaders have been heard to talk about the need for population control, including King George VI and Henry Kissinger who talked about ‘the useless eaters’.

It seems there have been instances of viruses being developed to target selected populations, such as the AIDS virus which has hit the poorest populations worldwide. Clearly, a virus capable of being spread through sexual activity will hit the least sophisticated. Rumour has it that it was tested on America’s west coast gay population as a control group. And there has always been that inconsistency between claiming that the virus spread from monkeys in Africa and yet the AIDS pandemic hit America first.

The ETs say that the bird flu virus is man-made, and they can prevent it from mutating into a virus capable of easy human-to-human transmission. I don’t know how, but they seem to have this in hand, although the impact of AIDS on Africa and now India is devastating. So a bird flu pandemic will not occur. Nor will any other plague having a potentially global spread.

According to Carl Calleman, the western monetary system has its foundations in the cycles of the Mayan Calendar and the prevailing left-brain thinking led to the development of money as an abstract, standardised medium of exchange which is actually essentially worthless. Bankers describe our money as 'fiat' money. 'Fiat' means 'let it be', let it be agreed that this is money. The £10 note we have in our wallet is worth £10 because we agree that it is. In actuality, it's only worth the paper it is printed upon - a few pence.

The cycles of the Mayan Calendar accurately trace the historic development of our monetary system. So what can be predicted for the near future? Since 1999 we have been living in a new cycle, one which favours the eastern hemisphere of the planet, and the right brain hemisphere which favours a more concrete approach. It is astonishing to discover that the new Euro currency was launched on 4th January 1999, and the new, 13-year cycle, which Calleman has dubbed 'the Galactic cycle', started on 5th January 1999. Comparisons with the historical record tracked by Calleman strongly suggest that the launching of the new currency on that date is highly significant in terms of what may be expected to develop in this current cycle. Calleman proposes that the Euro will play a mediating role between the conflicts that have merged between East and West in this cycle.

Indeed, it is conjectured that the main reason why the U.S. government instigated a war against Saddam Hussein was that Saddam had begun to trade Iraq's oil in the new Euro currency, thus beginning to displace the U.S. dollar as the world currency for oil. Today, in early 2006, the U.S. government is threatening to attack Iran on the pretext of its nuclear development programme, but Iran is planning to launch a new oil 'bourse' or market in which it will trade oil internationally using the Euro.

Whilst the Euro has not yet become the strongest and most stable currency, and it is the ultimate fiat currency being based on nothing whatsoever except the confidence of its users, it is showing signs of becoming the currency which will displace the power of the U.S. dollar.

At the same time, the U.S. dollar is in deep trouble, with the U.S. economy on the precipice, if not over already over the edge, into bankruptcy. In February 2006 the Federal Reserve announced that it had once again hit the "debt ceiling," a figure based on federal law that limits the amount of money the federal government can borrow. The total amount of federal debt as of that month was a staggering $8.2 trillion, a number that is almost incomprehensible. The effects of this debt, however, will be felt in the form of inflation, higher interest rates, and a weakened U.S. economy. Those countries (mainly China) who presently keep America afloat by holding U.S. Treasury Notes, will most likely no longer continue doing so. Do you think China will continue to support a country’s economy (the U.S.) whose military launches a nuclear strike against its friend and neighbour (Iran) - thus delivering a blanket of radioactive fallout over western Chinese provinces - killing hundreds of thousands, if not millions of its citizens? I think not.

A collapse of the U.S. dollar would affect all of us. The U.S. has driven the global economy for many years, and a deep recession there would reduce economic activity everywhere. Referring back to the guile and wile of the international bankers, be aware that they and the war profiteers care little for people's lives and families - those demons worship money and power - they have very much to gain from war, misery, disease, famine, chaos and death.

The U.K. economy is being dragged along by the self-same forces and it is inevitable that we too will slide rapidly into recession in the next few years. Total personal debt in the U.K. breached the £1 trillion barrier in July 2004 and is still rising. Interestingly, the total amount of 'money' in circulation in the U.K. is said to be £1 trillion. So it's the least financially able who are shouldering the nation's money stock. The ordinary people in the U.K. cannot sustain levels of debt on average of £50,000 per person and the rate of personal bankruptcy is rising fast, even before a recession has begun.

I want to add in some more aggravating factors and provide a sense of the scale of the changes and challenges that lie ahead and which will bring, I believe, a profound change in the way we live:

Again with reference to the Mayan Calendar, it is to be expected that women, especially Eastern women, will assert themselves in a way which is long overdue and should be surprising in its tardiness were it not for the compulsion of the energies described by the Mayan Calendar.

I predict that at some time during the next 18 months, a woman, or group of women, from the East, probably Moslem women, will go to the United Nations in New York and say: "We come in peace. On behalf of all the mothers and sisters and daughters of women throughout the world, we call for peace in the world; a cessation of war and conflict, and an end to the divisions between East and West, between Christianity and Islam. We call for love and compassion to prevail."

There is no voice stronger than a mother's voice in defence of her children. The sound of the mother's voice has long been needed, and the time has now come. (Note at 4th June 06, I have found the 'Women say No to War' website)

In the U.S., we have been hearing the voice of Cindy Sheehan, the mother of a young soldier who lost his life in Iraq, pleading for answers from George Bush: "What did Casey die for? What did the 2244 other brave young Americans die for? What are tens of thousands of them over there in harm's way for still?" and the world is hearing her. The voice of the mother is being heard. It has the potential to change a great deal, to remedy the worst of man's inhumanity to man.

This will also affect the global economy, which is rooted in the drive for wealth and power that is man's desire, fostered and encouraged by men behind the scenes and by the lust for wealth and power that lies yet further behind those behind the scenes.

When the ETs make first contact, they will put into place a programme for the ascension of humanity and also for the Earth. This will be an exceedingly complex operation which will require our cooperation. I think we will comply readily enough because the ETs will explain so much to us that we will submit to their greater knowledge and also to their benevolence. It may be that the first thing they ask of us will be to stop using our cars.

The ETs are extremely conscious that we have been using the Earth's blood - oil. They describe that dark gold substance as the lubricating fluid which allows the planet to move its joints and its plates and its land surfaces, and as such is as vital as our blood is to ourselves. They have, it seems, the technology to put the oil we have extracted from the Earth back into her, and they consider it a priority. The question is, to what extent will the ETs permit us to continue with our present way of life, so dependent on oil?

Not only will the ETs ask us to stop using our cars but also our lorries, even those that deliver food. Is this conceivable? Well, how long would they tolerate us continuing to use the fossil fuels? They say they have technologies to help us create food from light, using ‘replicators’ like those in the Star Trek movies. How long would it take for them to supply every household with a replicator? Would that even happen, in view of the extensive programme they have in mind?

I think the ETs would expect us to do what we should have done some years ago. We should grow food in a self-sufficient way in our own neighbourhood, so that we do not use oil to transport it. The same would apply to our clothing materials, breeding sheep for wool, and growing flax and hemp and cotton for the fibrous materials. Does this therefore mean reverting back to an agrarian economy more akin to Anglo-Saxon England? Possibly, yes.

During the transition to ascension or whatever our choices will bring, we will probably need to live a subsistence kind of lifestyle, where survival becomes an issue, and eliminating harm to the environment, to animals and to each other. We should be doing this already. We have known this for long enough but done little about it. We have reached the point where we need to be told: Stop! Now!

If we have not done so already, the ETs will tell us. I don’t think we can get away with it any longer.

I’m using the words ‘checking out’ to describe what would normally be called ‘dying’, because I believe that no-one dies. We are eternal, spiritual beings who pass from one state into another, and when we ‘die’ we go to Heaven. We stay in Heaven, or Nirvana as it is more properly named, I understand, until we go to another incarnation according to our guidance and choice.

At the present time we have to make a choice between three alternatives: ascending, moving to another planet, or checking out.

Ascending means taking on responsibility for the planet. It is not an easy choice, and not an appealing choice for people who prefer the kind of lifestyle many of us have today in which we do not feel particularly responsible for anything outside our immediate sphere of existence. I don’t think such people would describe ascension as the winning choice.

For all of us, though, it seems that we have an inbuilt urge to rise in consciousness and eventually merge back again into the ultimate source of our existence, the Creator. However this is not a race. Indeed, the Creator desires that all that can be learned should be learned, not only by ourselves but by Him (no gender intended). So we will not be thought as ‘losers’ if we do not ascend. It is our freewill choice if we choose to stay at this 3rd dimensional level. One of my aims, however, is to make this choice clear, if it is possible. I’ll go into that in more detail soon. But, for example, today, if you could choose to remain here or go to Heaven, which would you choose? For some people, the trials and tribulations of life here on Earth are enjoyable enough, and perhaps in some ways preferable to a heavenly paradise.

However if we choose to stay in the 3rd dimension we will not be able to stay here on Earth, because Mother Earth is ascending into the 4th or 5th dimension. My understanding is that the vibrational frequency of life here on Earth will not sustain 3rd dimensional life. If so, we will need to find a 3rd dimensional planet to which we can move.

The ETs have this already planned. There are numerous planets in the galaxy existing at the 3rd dimension. Many of these are unoccupied. The ETs can offer a choice between moving to an unoccupied world where we can start completely afresh, like the pioneers who moved to the New World of North America in the 1600s, or moving to a world where the ETs have already created cities with all the housing and advanced technologies to provide us with a superior lifestyle. The ETs have enormous spaceships with hyper-dimensional drive capable of transporting vast numbers of people at speeds which enable interplanetary travel to take mere hours or even minutes.

Such a choice might seem akin to winning the National Lottery, whereby one can start a whole new life free from the need to earn a living, free from rules imposed by others, free from Governments, religions and the other institutions, free to create a life that seems like an endless holiday offering opportunities for adventure and travel to amazing new places seeing landscapes and wildlife which no-one has seen before. It would be an amazing choice to make.

And on the other hand, one might choose to check out and go to Heaven. This too would be a good choice to make, because Heaven will be a familiar place; it’s designed that way so that the transition is as easy and reassuring as possible. We see our dear departed relatives and friends, and we enjoy a rest between incarnations. It’s a very desirable choice to take. Many people, perhaps especially the older people who do not feel they have the stamina to start a whole new life on a whole new world, would choose this alternative.

So everyone will have a choice between three alternatives, each of which will provide an amazingly wonderful outcome for everyone.

During the transitionary period, however, the last of these choices, the choice to check out, will provide some logistical problems for those left here on Earth. With lots of people dying, if I can revert back to that word now that I’ve taken the negative connotations out of it, there won’t be enough people to sustain our present way of life.

I understand that if we choose to die, we will be able to go peacefully in our sleep. We need only ask for this. We do not have to die in a natural disaster or accident, or through sickness or disease, or in any painful way. We can die easily and peacefully in good health and spirit, at more or less the time of our choosing. We can make preparations to die, make peace with our friends and relatives, and live the last few days of our lives knowing that they are the last, and we can embrace death in a way that hitherto would have been feared and unwelcome. This, however, is a very special time, when we are being granted our wishes. We have played our parts in a great cosmic drama, and we have played them perfectly. Now, having reached the end of it, we are being rewarded, handsomely. If we wish to go to Heaven, we will be helped to do so in our own time and in our own way.

And we don’t have to concern ourselves with those we leave behind. They are making their own choices too.

Those who are left behind will have to cope with a changing playing field, like, for example, not having people to grow food for them, or generate energy, or manage water supplies.

But those of us who are left behind can cope with that, can’t we? Of course we can. We just need to start making it happen NOW.

There’s a saying that ‘the market’ can be relied upon to deliver. Commercial opportunity will fill every conceivable niche of demand. If one source of supply fails, another will come to take its place. And our experience has shown that this does in fact occur.

However I don’t think the market will cope with the scale of change that I’ve outlined above. I don’t think it will be possible to match supply with demand. Between climate change, the rising price of fuel, the dwindling labour force and an ever-deepening recession, perhaps even economic collapse, I think it will become more difficult to supply food and fuel in the way we’re accustomed to. I think we’d be too complacent if we thought we could carry on as before.

I think it’s necessary for us to know that we can supply our food from local sources, both from food stocks and from local agriculture, factory hydroponics and domestic gardens. Fuel will become more expensive and less available, and demand will not be met by new fuel technologies. I think we need to live on far less fuel.

We will need to guard our water supplies. The water which supplies our cities may continue to be plentiful, but we need to safeguard both the purity of the supply and the availability of the supply. Ideally we would have more local sources such as streams and wells.

Many people, even those from higher dimensional sources, have warned that we should be prepared for the worst. That is, prepare for a time when our entire infrastructure is collapsing and we have no supplies of food and fuel and water, not even those basic subsistence supplies.

This is surely a good, basic rule of living for those who live far away from the distribution centres, such as in the countryside. In the towns and cities, though, one would expect the infrastructure to be strong enough, flexible and adaptable enough, to withstand quite severe stresses. However the other side of that coin is the larger population that makes the infrastructure possible. That larger population needs vast supplies of food, fuel and water, and it takes next to nothing to spark a bout of panic buying sufficient to clear stocks from shop shelves before everyone has adequate supplies.

The answer to food supplies is to ensure that we have two years’ worth of tinned and dry foods under lock and key for the eventuality of a breakdown in supply. This should be a joint responsibility of individuals and the whole community. Whilst individuals and families should buy as much tinned and dry foods as they can store, neighbourhood communities should buy or build a warehouse or a unit in which community supplies can be stored securely. Local businesses and local authorities should set up storage facilities, not only for food but other supplies too, so that any danger of shortages can be minimised. When the time comes, food can be distributed on a fair basis. To avoid spoilage, food can be sold when the store is full, and replenishments can be purchased.

Local farms should grow food mainly for the local area, with any excess being sold to other regions or countries. Farming would include grains, potatoes and vegetables, and cows for milk and milk products, and poultry for eggs. We should stop eating meat.

Local businesses should set up hydroponic food-growing factories so that salad foods, fruit and vegetables can be grown year-round under secure conditions.

Domestic gardens should be planted with fruit trees and shrubs, and vegetables and salad foods and herbs. This is not the time to use domestic gardens for leisure or flower beds. Decking should be torn up and the ground used for food production. Decking wood can be used for fuel, later.

If we were to stop using oil today, we would have to find an alternative propulsion fuel. There are numerous forms of bio-fuel made from grains and vegetables which can fuel today’s cars with little modification. However, we will not have enough land to grow the quantity of fuel required for the internal combustion engine. The land will be required for food production.

In the early days of motor car development, the steam car seemed to be a viable choice, and was only eclipsed by petrol and diesel (both originally made from vegetable or nut oils) because of the relative convenience of starting a car using electric ignition, as was invented in due course, and by political pressure from the fossil oil suppliers. The first official Land Speed Record in 1898, and the next five records that followed, were held by electric vehicles. It wasn’t until 1902 that the silent speedsters lost their domination … to a steam car. Now today, efforts are being made to restore the steam car in the public’s imagination through new attempts at the Land Speed Record for steam-powered vehicles. Steam engines use water as the main working fluid, with the steam driving the pistons, as in a steam train. The fuel to heat the water could be a vegetable oil, and the efficiency could be double that of an oil-fuelled engine. The fuel could be grown cheaply locally, as opposed to the more expensive oil being acquired from politically or geologically difficult areas.

Therefore, given sufficient notice, a community could acquire steam-driven vehicles and grow and distil its fuel to transport both people and produce.

It is also possible to drive the internal combustion engine on water alone, using the electricity contained in the car battery to split the water into combustible hydrogen and clean oxygen molecules. Instructions can be found on the internet. Another water-based system is called the Joe Cell, and shows much promise.

Otherwise, transport would be reduced to horse-drawn carriages and wagons, or manpower such as bicycles. Today there are insufficient horses, especially the stronger Shire horses, to provide horsepower.

Anyway, we have, in effect, come to the end of our oil-driven civilisation regardless of ascension and pressure from ETs. The demand for oil is already outstripping supply without the cost rising to uneconomic levels, and the supply is forecast to come to an end either very soon or fairly soon depending on optimistic or pessimistic forecasts. So we need to prepare for a different way of life, and the time to do that is today, NOW. It might be worth adding up how many times I’ve already used the word ‘now’ in capital letters. I predict that the last line of this script will say it ten times over.

Fuel for heating and lighting and machinery etc. would need to be from an altogether new source. If fossil oil is to be prohibited, if coal is too dirty, if burning wood is considered too harmful to trees, if there is insufficient land to grow fuel crops (biomass), if nuclear fuel is too dangerous and too difficult to dispose of, if hydroelectric power is already used to its limit, if wind power is too limited, if solar power is only part of the answer, then we have to find new technology.

On the internet there is talk of Zero Point energy technology, and ‘free energy’ technology. Magnetic devices seem to offer some hope. I have been hosting a website www.magneticenergy.org.uk for the last year or so. This contains channelled material with full instructions from extraterrestrial sources about magnetic devices which can "help to save the planet." Cold fusion appears to be a reality although it has not reached a viable stage. In the time we have available, none of these technologies seems to provide an answer. More importantly, the oil barons are preventing the commercial development of these technologies. Funding is not available in sufficient quantity to make research and development feasible.

So, while we are waiting for the ETs to supply technologies based on light which offer the potential to power anything and everything, we will find ourselves short of fuel. How will we cope?

I believe we have a model for a society in which there is no mass-produced fuel, in the Anglo-Saxon society that prevailed in England prior to the Norman Conquest in 1066. Manpower supplied much of the energy, with some basic machinery using simple physics such as the wheel, levers, gravity and suchlike. Wood and dried crops, animal dung and peat provided fuel for fire. If our present-day society collapsed suddenly, the Anglo-Saxon model is the default model to which we would return. Once we had exhausted the supply of combustible matter in the cities, we would return to the country.

The only alternative I can offer is that the ETs might support a gradual process of weaning-off fossil fuel and as rapid a transition to light technologies as possible. In the interests of maintaining a relatively orderly transition, this would seem to be necessary.

I think this is a possibility, since the ETs are aware of our predicament. They know that we are limited in our ability to make the changes that we know are needed. They must also know that it would not be helpful if our societies were to turn to chaos. However, if they were to agree to a gradual transition, it would be no more gradual than was absolutely necessary. We would have to accept some restrictions, some rationing, some discipline.

This, of course, depends on first contact from the ETs. If they’re just a figment of my imagination, we’re on our way back to an Anglo-Saxon society. At least we know it worked, in its day. The main difference would be the much higher population. Possibly, the population may be falling as the infrastructure breaks down, in chicken-and-egg fashion. It is to be hoped so, otherwise........

Then again, there is 'The Rapture', in which 'the chosen ones' will be taken off-Earth by spaceship before the real disintegration begins. Or so it's said....by some sources...it doesn't seem very credible, does it? Time will tell.

If the infrastructure of our society breaks down because of any of the numerous threats I have outlined above, there could be serious law and order problems, with looting and rioting in the streets. Therefore it is essential that we become prepared for such.

This means planning for whatever may possibly come. At the moment we have the police force, and it has volunteer officers to cover some level of contingencies. I would recommend that the police multiplies the number of volunteer personnel they can call upon. These people need to be trained for civil emergencies of all kinds, and they need to be trained NOW.

If there is a possibility of an economic collapse, as I believe there is, this will impact the value of our money. Remember hyper-inflation in Germany when a barrow-full of notes was needed to buy a loaf of bread? Maybe that was an exaggeration. But also remember what I said about money being worth what we agree it to be worth. Our agreements can change, and when confidence is lost in the stability of our money, its value changes - it falls.

This is one of the negatives about our monetary system. It is vulnerable to the confidence factor because it is ‘fiat’ money, it’s just token money, not having any real value.

Compare this to barter, where, according to folklore, a sheep would be given a value and could be exchanged for things which add up to the same value - say, two piglets for example. The item itself has a definite value according either to a commonly agreed value or simply by ad hoc agreement between the parties involved in the exchange. There’s no need to find actual money to make the exchange, and where the value of money falls, no need to find more money to make the exchange.

In anticipation of our present monetary system becoming unstable, or even collapsing altogether, I feel it’s necessary to adopt more ‘real’ exchange systems. These could include barter, or lending, or sharing, or even just gifting. Ideally, to my mind, we should do without money altogether, and simply give to each other according to our needs.

When so-called civilisation falls into chaos, what we are left with is a common desire to survive reasonably comfortably, and it becomes a community effort. Ideally we would all contribute our resources to the community, including our organising ability and our manual labour. Priority would be given to creating food and fuel supplies, clothing and shelter. Anything else could be agreed upon. If any trade is required between communities, this could be done by bartering, lending, sharing or gifting in the same, mutually supportive way. This may seem idealistic but when the need arises, hopefully the best of human nature would win through.

Wouldn’t it be so much better to live without money? Money gives other people the ability to control our societies, as we are now discovering to have been true for centuries. Money fosters inequality, greed and selfishness, and is indeed the root of all evil. If we find we have to do without money, let’s celebrate.

Or, as a temporary measure, we could create local currencies which would take us through a transitionary period towards a money-less economy. These could also be fiat currencies, adopted on an agreement basis. It would mean that towns and cities could issue currency to all their citizens to enable transactions to take place. This has the added advantage of money being retained within the local area, ‘within the family’, rather than being lost to ‘outsiders’. When survival becomes an issue, we all need to pull together. We all have an instinctive understanding that it’s better to keep one’s resources circulating within one’s own ‘economy’, rather than exporting the money.

The ETs and the Spiritual Hierarchy are insisting that a new monetary system NESARA (National Economic Security and Reformation Act) will be launched worldwide very soon, that it has already been agreed by national governments, the currency notes have been printed and all systems are in place and waiting only for the American government to fall before it is launched. The new system will be backed by gold, silver and other precious metals.

I’m not entirely sure about the NESARA system. Since precious metals are prone to fluctuating in value, and finite in supply, the value of the currency must also fluctuate. So precious metals are not a guarantee of stability. And who owns the precious metals? The banks which issue the currency? How do they buy the precious metals, and from whom?

I understand the idea is that enlightened people will take control of the banks to ensure there is no repeat of the present abuse of the monetary system. If so, I would have thought that a fiat system would have worked just as well, if not better. A fiat system is not inherently bad - it’s as good as the people who are managing the economy.

(December 10th 2006: However, according to a source, Celestial Blue Star, quoted in the 'Message from Matthew' on December 5th 2006: "As I have stated before, “NESARA is the “Golden Age,” NESARA is here and NOW. All that you have longed for is available to you. Do not mistake the true NESARA with the deliberately designed lies about untold monetary wealth. It will be those people who follow the trail of the “great lie” that shall not be part of the Golden Age. NESARA the GOLDEN AGE was never intended to be a monetary event. It is about Infinity on Earth and each person’s earned place in this wondrous new “time.” It is being God in physical form.")

A recent press release from the United Nations said that for the first time in almost 27 years, the United Nations General Assembly is debating the issue of establishing diplomatic relations with advanced extra-terrestrial civilisations that may now be visiting Earth.

On December 16, 2005, a resolution to establish a United Nations Decade of Contact was formally transmitted to the incoming President of the General Assembly, H.E. Jan Eliasson of Sweden by the Institute for Co-operation in Space (ICIS), a Non-Governmental Organization.

President Eliasson was Sweden's Ambassador to the United Nations from 2000 to 2005.

Perhaps this makes it more likely that the ETs will choose to co-ordinate first contact through the United Nations rather than individual national governments. On the other hand, that might usurp the power of national governments in an unacceptable way.

However it is done, first contact will profoundly change the government of nations. The ETs are coming to assist in the ascension of Mother Earth and of humanity. They are not coming to take over the governments of the world. However, they will not allow national governments to interfere with the processes the ETs are carrying forward. Perhaps there will be power struggles, but it seems unlikely in view of the ETs’ non-interference directives, despite their superior knowledge and capabilities - and benevolence. ETs need to be invited to assist, not to take over.

What it will do, however, it to paralyse governments. They will find themselves unable to carry through whatever programmes they have in place. Why? Because the ETs will be telling them what needs to be done in anticipation of the quantum leap that lies ahead. Even if the ETs urge business-as-usual in order to avert chaos in government, it is probable that chaos will prevail.

This is why contingency planning at this stage is vital. Plans to maintain at least a subsistence way of living for all the people must be put in place NOW.

Local government therefore has a crucial role to play. It is local governments which will need to organise the planning for the transitionary phases. Supplies of food, fuel and water need to be planned for NOW. Security for all the people needs to be planned for NOW. An exchange system, whether it be NESARA or a new local currency needs to be planned for NOW.

People living in towns and cities need to speak to their local councillors and to civic officials to alert them to this need, before it is too late. The people involved in local government are best placed to organise things on behalf of the whole local area. Otherwise when the time comes, anarchy will reign. This must be avoided by contingency planning NOW.

This should also involve the area’s planning authorities which may need to override national guidelines in order to build or convert facilities for food supplies. It should involve the police, the farmers’ unions, the power companies and all those currently involved in managing the society’s infrastructure. And planning should be done in terms of the worst-case scenario.

The goal-posts keep moving. There was a time, two decades ago, when it was predicted that earthquakes and volcanic eruptions would devastate so much of the planet that the human race would scarcely survive. Whilst there have been serious earthquakes, and more frequent and intense earthquakes than previously, they have not yet threatened the entire planet.

Since the ETs and the Spiritual Hierarchy have become actively involved in the process, and claim to have transmuted some of the energies that would otherwise have caused catastrophic earthquakes, it increasingly seems that we will not suffer as expected.

There was a time when it was thought, even by the Spiritual Hierarchy, it seems, that few humans would ascend, and the rest would perish in increasingly severe plagues of one sort and another. Now we hear from the ETs that they are disabling the viruses and bacteria that could cause disease pandemics, and whether these are man-made or of natural origin they no longer pose a threat. And the Spiritual Hierarchy is talking about the possibility of mass ascension.

It could almost seem that the next few years may pass without any outward sign that we are going through this ascension process, and that we will ascend en masse without even realising it. Could that possibly be? Will the ETs go home without making first contact?

If so, how would we know that there ever was an end-of-days process and a quantum leap into a higher dimension?

I think we will indeed know that something spectacular is happening, and I think we’ll know before much longer.

What I hope is that the ETs make first contact before we go into a state of fear about what is happening in the world. Preferably that should be before George Bush and the dark cabal declare war on Iran, possibly as early as June 2006, just over a month from the time of writing this.

My understanding from channelled messages from the ETs is that they have received a divine dispensation enabling them to make first contact without having received an invitation from our governments to come. They would do this if they thought there was a serious risk of nuclear confrontation between the superpowers. They claim to have the technology to disable nuclear weapons, and to stop war altogether. If they were to do so without telling us first, we might be just as spooked if they turned up entirely unannounced.

At the present time there are increasing numbers of sightings of ufos, with seemingly staged flypasts over Mexico City, over Madrid in Spain and Milan in Italy, as if to accustom us to sightings. If more of these occur, first contact is not far off now.

What we need is for first contact to take place and for ETs to make TV broadcasts to educate humanity about what is now occurring. They should encourage ‘business-as-usual’ so that our lives do not immediately collapse into chaos. This is my fervent hope.

It concerns the need for human control over the conduct of ETs in relation to humanity during the First Contact event and the ensuing years. I agree with it in almost its entirety and so I am copying it here in full. Before I'd seen it I had been thinking that it would be appropriate to take a 'negotiating' stance with first contact ETs, rather than being totally overawed and disempowered by the occasion. I do not think it's appropriate to expect that they totally understand what the ordinary people of this planet have been going through. I don't doubt that they love us deeply, feel enormous compassion for us and they greatly admire us for what we have experienced and contributed to the greater knowledge. However they have not lived our lives. It is therefore right to represent the ordinary people of Earth fully so that our rights are fully acknowledged and honoured. If it's going to be necessary for many ordinary people to leave this planet one way or another, this needs to be done in a manner which is highly advantageous to them. And ditto if the ETs will henceforth be living among us.

The following was written (by a human) in response to the request from the ETs, to establish humanity's rights to control ET conduct in human affairs:

"In a message to humanity titled "Change the world! Decide whether we should show up!" distributed throughout the internet, a group of extra-terrestrial races described the dire political problems that threaten the freedom, prosperity and sovereignty of global humanity, and how they could assist by simply 'showing up'. They requested permission to 'show up' from 'individuals without distinction', as they describe those not holding significant political power, by conducting a global ballot to the question: 'Do you wish that we show up?' (Note: the idea was that the positive or negative answers from humans would be received telepathically by ETs and they would be able to decide whether to 'show up' if the response was positive enough, from enough people - so if you'd like to answer it yourself - go right ahead - say 'Yes' - right now!)

"In response to that request, we 'individuals without distinction' wish to declare that we have long been the visionaries, social reformers, peacemakers, healers and 'contactees' in dealing with our planet's problems and communicating with extra-terrestrial races. We rightfully claim our role to speak on behalf of global humanity in how extra-terrestrials can assist with and transform our present global predicament. Our planet has long been dominated by competing groups of political elites who have established predatory national policies that have threatened freedom and prosperity of all nations of our world. These predatory policies have greatly damaged social, economic and political relationships on our world, and also caused great damage to our natural environment.

"As a result, many of our visionaries, Edgar Cayce, Mother Shipton, Gordon Michael Scallion and Nostradamus predicted great planetary upheaval during this time of transition which we call the 'end times'. Fortunately, these planetary upheavals have not occurred due to the extraordinary love, compassion, healing and forgiveness practised by millions of 'individuals without distinction' who have essentially saved our planet from global catastrophe. Unfortunately, our political elites continue in their predatory national policies and domination of our political systems, financial institutions and mass media, thereby leading to the present set of dire conditions you describe in your letter.

"In exchange for the assistance extra-terrestrials provide by 'showing up' and thereby catalysing solutions to the present problems affecting our planet, we will be willing to lend our assistance in the transformation of interplanetary societies that may continue to have painful histories and antagonisms. Due to the extensive diversity of our planet's population, history of violent conflict, and predatory policies of our political elites, we have developed unique qualities and strategies for promoting peace, compassion, empathy and healing in societies divided by painful histories of injustice and violence. These qualities are chiefly responsible for our triumph in preventing the predicted global catastrophe on our world, and we wish to draw the attention of extra-terrestrial visitors to this. We will be able to provide expert teams of healers, peacemakers, conflict resolution experts, shamans and mystics, to advise your experts in these areas in how they can be more effective in their respective interplanetary projects.

"We wish to emphasise that elected political representatives of our planet's many nations have shown little desire or ability to understand, respond to or engage in public dialogue on the extra-terrestrial presence or 'Message to Humanity'. The political elites of our world continue their predatory policies while exercising extensive control of our world's media, political systems and financial institutions. The extra-terrestrial presence continues to be subject to a public policy of non-disclosure by responsible government and military officials; and has involved tremendous social, political and economic cost to global humanity. We declare that we 'individuals without distinction' have lost faith in the ability of our government representatives to effectively deal with extra-terrestrials on behalf of global humanity.

"Therefore, we as a representative group of 'individuals without distinction' desire to respond to the prospect of extra-terrestrials showing up and/or interacting with global humanity. We declare that the following 'Statement of Aspirations' and 'Code of Conduct' applies to all extra-terrestrials, visible or not, who show up, interact with, or desire to interact with global humanity.

'Individuals without distinction' (IWD)- that proportion of global humanity not occupying representative public office, not having significant control of the mass media or owning appreciable financial resources.

'Contact groups' – individuals who have received the letter asking IWD if they want extra-terrestrials to show up, and/or given affirmative responses and/or formed groups to discuss issues associated with the letter.

Visitors – all 'non-humanoid', 'synthetic humanoids' or 'off-world' races that either 'show up' as a result of an affirmative answer to the requested global ballot, and/or those races previously holding secret agreements with political representatives that either subsequently reveal themselves or remain hidden on Earth.

1. Visitors recognise and value the unique qualities of peace, compassion, hope, joy, healing and empathy 'individuals without distinction' have developed as a result of living on a tremendously diverse planet with antagonistic histories, emotional traumas, legacies of violence; and predatory policies of competing political elites; and the contribution 'individuals without distinction' can make as peacemakers, visionaries, and healers in interplanetary relations;

2. Visitors seeking to interact with Earth, recognise that we 'individuals without distinction' have long been the visionary social reformers, peacemakers, healers, and truth seekers that have resolved many of our planet's most intractable conflicts and promoted public awareness of the visitors' presence, and therefore deserve primacy and majority representation in formal dialogues and negotiations conducted between visitors and representatives of global humanity.

3. Visitors and 'individuals without distinction' in their relation to one another, need to consider themselves as both teachers and pupils, as sisters and brothers; and not as parents, authorities, or as saviours. Visitors recognise that they and 'individuals without distinction' are in a partnership where each seeks to identify, nurture and exchange their unique contributions as planetary societies for their mutual benefit in a wider interplanetary community based on the principles of individuality, free will, sovereignty, and Universal Law.

4. 'Individuals without distinction' and visitors are self-empowered as a result of their interactions, and mutual advancement is obtained through communication, sharing of knowledge, and expansion in all spheres of growth for humans and visitors.

5. During the first contact event, space vehicles of visitors above Earth's population centres should appear in formations that use universal symbols of peace, love and joy. Light and holographic shows similar to fireworks displays and outdoor movies should also be extensively used to demonstrate the friendliness of the visitors, and their origins.

6. When visitors first meet large numbers of 'individuals without distinction' and local officials, these meetings will use friendly and open contact scenarios that are characterised by exchanges of gifts, use of peaceful symbols and reliance on humanoid visitors that all promote confidence and trust.

7. Visitors assist global humanity for a transition period of seven years with a possible three year extension, if required, to introduce necessary reforms to prepare global humanity for full and open membership in interplanetary relations. All agreements reached between visitors and representatives of global humanity are subject to review/termination/confirmation at any time by an appropriate global planetary institution or in a global ballot of 'individuals without distinction'.

8. Visitors send delegates/emissaries to visit major cities and to attend public forums where they can meet with and answer questions from the mass media and private citizens. In cases where visitors do not agree to a more public display, arrangements will be made to offer the visitors a place where they would be more comfortable.

9. Visitors assist in ensuring the effectiveness of a 'Planetary Truth Commission' authorised to disclose the full extent of human rights violations stemming from all secret projects, agreements, technologies and activities that involved visitors' collaboration with national military-intelligence agencies, scientific laboratories and corporations;

10. The trade and movement of renewable resources, intellectual property, or human visitors/workers to other planets, to be regulated by a duly constituted planetary authority established at the end of a transition period of seven years.

11. Establishment of an organisation from contact groups authorised to monitor political representatives and executive officers of undue visitor influence, and to act as an advisory body to decision makers on the activities and influence of visitors.

12. Due to the unrepresentative and secret negotiations that have taken place in recent Earth history between government officials and visitors, visitors seeking to establish or to renew agreements with representatives of global humanity, must ensure that 'contact groups' and 'individuals without distinction' are respectively given major representation at all subsequent formal dialogues and negotiations;

13. All agreements reached between visitors who 'show up' and members of global humanity, representative or not, will be fully disclosed and distributed through all public information channels including the mass media, non-governmental organisations dealing with extra-terrestrial affairs; and a public internet site dedicated to disclosing extra-terrestrial related information on a 'round the clock' basis. Visitor rights will be respected by the Earth's media when providing such information

14. There will be full disclosure and transparency in all visitor interventions in human affairs and the Earth's ecosystem in terms of their respective short and long-term consequences. An appropriate global institution will be created to monitor and where appropriate correct the consequences of visitor interventions or the consequences of human interventions on visitor worlds or subterranean Earth locations.

15. Visitors interacting with Earth ensure that 'secret agreements' previously made between themselves and political representatives, and all associated activities and programmes, are fully disclosed to global humanity through the same communication channels as #13.

16. In all interactions between visitors and global humanity, the freewill and rights of humans and visitors are at all times respected, and that all violations of these will be reported and rectified by a designated Human and Visitor Rights Office created to deal with infractions of the free will and rights of humans and/or visitors;

17. There will be full transparency and openness in all cases where visitors or their proxies, or humans or their proxies, influence or control one another by: electronic devices, mind control, etheric implants, or any other artificial methods

18. An appropriate planetary legal institution will be responsible for creating and/or harmonising planetary, national and local laws with the needs and rights of visitors. In interacting with political authorities at the national or sub-national levels, visitors will respect local customs and laws.

19. Visitors are required not to make any trade agreements concerning the export of Earth's non-renewable resources with any political entity, at the national, sub-national or planetary level.

20. Visitors may record information related to their experience on Earth. Visitors desiring to introduce or remove any material object from Earth must gain express permission of import/export control authorities or in compliance with regulations concerning the exchange of gifts between humans and visitors.

22. No visitor may initiate a chemical, biological, thermonuclear, or other chain reaction, wittingly or unwittingly.

23. Visitors recognise the principles of 'freedom of speech', 'freedom of religion' and 'freedom of thought' in all interactions with human populations, and grant reciprocal rights to human visitors to their worlds or subterranean Earth locations.

24. Visitors interact with global humanity and the Earth only in a manner that is in harmony with the highest good of all beings.

Stop using your car. Right now. Throw away the keys and resolve never to use your car again. You know you should not be using fossil fuel (petrol, diesel) to power your car. So stop using it. NOW! How does that make you feel? Are you really ready for ascension if your life is going to change so dramatically?

There is an ancient Chinese saying: "Before enlightenment, carry water. After enlightenment, carry water." In other words, becoming enlightened does not necessarily mean that your life will change. But carrying water does not damage the planet or harm another. Driving a car, well, that's another thing entirely. It's not a case of "Before ascension, drive car. After ascension, drive car." Oh no, my dear friend! As we look at our current lifestyle it is evident that a great deal of our lives is seriously damaging to the planet and ultimately to each other because it's a path to making the planet uninhabitable for man. We need to change our lifestyle - profoundly.

And this is why we need 'first contact' with the ETs. We have a choice between regressing to a simpler, agrarian, non-technological lifestyle or taking a quantum leap forward into a lifestyle supported by a profoundly different technology.

Actually we already have a number of technologies that could enable us to live a similar lifestyle without damaging the planet. We've learned these from ETs already. That is to say, the American and British military have learned these technologies from ETs.

The Disclosure Project, having a website at www.disclosureproject.org is "a non-profit research effort that has, since 1993, been identifying top-secret military, government and other witnesses to UFO and Extraterrestrial events."

In 1993, an American medical doctor, Stephen M Greer M.D. started the Disclosure Project as "an effort that was designed to identify firsthand military and government witnesses to UFO events and projects, as well as other evidence to be used in a public disclosure. From 1993, he and his team spent considerable time and resources briefing the Clinton Administration, including CIA Director James Woolsey, senior military officials at the Pentagon, and select members of Congress, among others. In April of 1997, more than a dozen such government and military witnesses were assembled in Washington DC for briefings with Congressmen, Pentagon officials and others. There, Dr Greer specifically requested open Congressional Hearings on the subject. None were forthcoming."

So there are behind-the-scenes agencies in the U.S.A., and also in Britain, which have been learning about and developing advanced technologies for decades.

The now-proven fact that there are extraterrestrials visiting and even living on Earth is shattering enough. The two other now-proven facts, namely that the existence of ETs has been concealed from the rest of humanity for decades AND that advanced technologies have been developed and concealed from us for decades, are truly a justification for people to rise up against their governments and DEMAND full disclosure.

"For most people, the question of whether or not we are alone in the universe is a mere philosophical musing — something of academic interest but of no practical importance. Even evidence that we are currently being visited by non-human advanced life forms seems to many to be an irrelevancy in a world of global warming, crushing poverty and the threat of war. In the face of real challenges to the long-term human future, the question of UFOs, extraterrestrials and secret government projects is a mere sideshow, right? Wrong — catastrophically wrong.

"The evidence and testimony presented in the following pages establishes the following:

"Those who doubt these assertions should carefully read the testimony of dozens of military and government witnesses whose testimony clearly establishes these facts. Given the vast and profound implications of these statements, whether one accepts or seriously doubts these assertions, all must demand that Congressional hearings be convened to get to the truth of this matter. For nothing less than the human future hangs in the balance.

"We have identified insiders and scientists who can prove, in open Congressional hearings, that we do in fact possess classified energy generation and anti-gravity propulsion systems capable of completely and permanently replacing all forms of currently used energy generation and transportation systems. These devices access the ambient electromagnetic and so-called zero point energy state to produce vast amounts of energy without any pollution. Such systems essentially generate energy by tapping into the ever-present quantum vacuum energy state — the baseline energy from which all energy and matter is fluxing. All matter and energy is supported by this baseline energy state and it can be tapped through unique electromagnetic circuits and configurations to generate huge amounts of energy from space/time all around us. These are NOT perpetual motion machines nor do they violate the laws of thermodynamics — they merely tap an ambient energy field all around us to generate energy.

"This means that such systems do not require fuel to burn or atoms to split or fuse. They do not require central power plants, transmission lines and the related multi-trillion dollar infrastructure required to electrify and power remote areas of India, China, Africa and Latin America. These systems are site-specific: they can be set up at any place and generate needed energy. Essentially, this constitutes the definitive solution to the vast majority of environmental problems facing our world.

"The environmental benefits of such a discovery can hardly be overstated, but a brief list include:

"Utopia? No, because human society will always be imperfect — but perhaps not as dysfunctional as it is today. These technologies are real — I have seen them. Anti-gravity is a reality and so is free energy generation. This is not a fantasy or a hoax. Do not believe those who say that this is not possible: they are the intellectual descendants of those who said the Wright brothers would never fly.

"Current human civilization has reached the point of being able to commit planeticide: the killing of an entire world. We can and we must do better. These technologies exist and every single person who is concerned about the environment and the human future should call for urgent hearings to allow these technologies to be disclosed, declassified and safely applied.

"From the above, it is obvious that these technologies that are currently classified would enable human civilization to achieve sustainability. Of course, in the near term, we are talking about the greatest social, economic and technological revolution in human history — bar none. I will not minimize the world-encompassing changes that would inevitably attend such disclosures. Having dealt with this issue for much of my adult life, I am acutely aware of how immense these changes will be.

"Aside from the singular realization that homo sapiens are not the only — or most advanced — creatures in the universe, this disclosure will cause humanity to be faced with the greatest risks and opportunities in known history. If we do nothing, our civilization will collapse environmentally, economically, geo-politically and socially. In 10 – 20 years, fossil fuel and oil demand will outstrip supply significantly — and then it is the Mad Max scenario where everyone is warring over the last barrel of oil. It is likely that this geo-political and social collapse will precede any environmental catastrophe.

"The disclosure of these new technologies will give us a new, sustainable civilization. World poverty will be eliminated within our life times. With the advent of these new energy and propulsion systems, no place on Earth will need to suffer from want. Even the deserts will bloom…

"Once abundant and nearly free energy is available in impoverished areas for agriculture, transportation, construction, manufacturing and electrification, there is no limit to what humanity can achieve. It is ridiculous — obscene even — that mind-boggling poverty and famine exists in the world while we sit on classified technologies that could completely reverse this situation. So why not release these technologies? Because the social, economic and geo-political order of the world would be greatly altered. Every deep insider with whom I have met has emphasized that this would be the greatest change in known human history. The matter is so highly classified not because it is so silly, but because its implications are so profound and far reaching. By nature, those who control such projects do not like change. And here we are talking about the biggest economic, technological, social and geo-political change in known human history. Hence, the status quo is maintained, even as our civilization hurtles towards oblivion.

"But by this argument, we would have never had the industrial revolution and the Luddites would have reigned supreme to this day.

"An international effort to minimize disruption to the economy and to ease the transition to this new social and economic reality will be needed. We can do this and we must. Special interests in certain oil, energy and economic sectors need to be reined in and at the same time treated compassionately: nobody likes to see their power and empire crumble. Nations very dependent on the sale of oil and gas will need help diversifying, stabilizing and transitioning to a new economic order.

"The United States, Europe and Japan will need to adjust to a new geo-political reality as well: As currently poor but populous countries dramatically develop technologically and economically, they will demand — and will get — a meaningful seat at the international table. And this is as it should be. But the international community will need to put in place safeguards to prevent such potential geo-political rapprochement between the first and third world from devolving into bellicose and disruptive behavior on the part of the newly empowered.

"The US in particular will need to lead through strength — but avoid the current trend towards domination. Leadership and domination are not the same, and the sooner we learn the difference the better off the world will be. There can be international leadership without domination and hegemony, and the US needs to realize these distinctions if it is to provide much-needed leadership on this issue.

"These technologies, because they will decentralize power — literally and figuratively — will enable the billions living in misery and poverty to enter a world of new abundance. And with economic and technological development, education will rise and birth rates will fall. It is well known that as societies become more educated, prosperous and technologically advanced — and women take an increasingly equal role in society — the birth rate falls and population stabilizes. This is a good thing for world civilization and the future of humanity.

"With each village cleanly electrified, agriculture empowered with clean and free energy and transportation costs lowered, poverty will dramatically fall in the world. If we act now, by 2030 we will be able to effectively eliminate all poverty in the world, as we know it today. We only need the courage to accept these changes and the wisdom to steer humanity safely and peacefully into a new time.

"A few years ago I was discussing this subject with the former Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Senator Claiborne Pell. He explained to me that he had been in Congress since the 1950s but had never been briefed on this subject. I told him that the nature of these black projects has resulted in most of our leaders being left out of any decision making on this subject, and what a shame this is. I said, "Senator Pell, all that time you were Chairman of Foreign Relations, you were deprived of the opportunity to deal with the ultimate foreign relations challenge…" and I pointed to the stars above our heads. He said, " You know Dr. Greer, I am afraid that you are right…"

"It is true that our great diplomats and wise elders, such as Senator Pell, President Jimmy Carter and other international leaders have been specifically and deliberately prevented from having access to or control over this subject. This is a direct threat to world peace. In the vacuum of secrecy, operations supervised by neither the people, the people’s representatives, the UN nor any other legitimate entity have taken actions that directly threaten world peace.

"Testimony, corroborated by multiple military witnesses who do not know each other and who have had no opportunity for collusion, will show that the US and other countries have engaged these ETVs in armed attack, in some cases leading to the downing of these vehicles. As I said to Mrs Boutros Ghali, wife of the then Secretary General of the UN, if there is even a 10% chance that this is true, then this constitutes the gravest threat to world peace in human history

"Having personally interviewed numerous credible military and aerospace officials with direct knowledge of such actions, I am certain that we have done this. Why? Because these unknown vehicles have been in our airspace without our permission and because we wanted to acquire their technology. Nobody has asserted that there is an actual threat to humanity from these objects: Obviously, any civilization capable of routine interstellar travel could terminate our civilization in a nanosecond, if that was their intent. That we are still breathing the free air of Earth is abundant testimony to the non-hostile nature of these ET civilizations.

"We have also been informed that the so-called Star Wars (or National Missile Defence System) effort has really been a cover for black project deployment of weapon systems to track, target and destroy ETVs as they approach Earth or enter Earth’s atmosphere. No less a figure than Wernher Von Braun warned on his death-bed of both the reality and the madness of such a scheme, apparently to no avail (see the Testimony of Carol Rosin, former spokesperson for Wernher Von Braun).

"With the types of weapons currently in the covert arsenal — weapons more fearsome even than thermonuclear devices — there is no possibility of a survivable conflict. Yet in the darkness of secrecy, actions have been taken on behalf of every human that may endanger our future. Only a full, honest disclosure will correct this situation. It is not possible for me to convey in words the urgency of this.

"For 10 years I worked as an emergency doctor and saw how every possible object can be used as a weapon. Every technology, unless guided by wisdom and a desire for that good and peaceful future – the only future possible — will be used for conflict. Super-secret projects that answer to no legally constituted body- not the UN, not the US Congress, not the British Parliament — must not be allowed to continue to act in this way on behalf of humanity.

"One of the greatest dangers of extreme secrecy is that it creates a hermetically sealed, closed system impervious to the free and open exchange of ideas. In such an environment, it is easy to see how grave mistakes can be made. For instance, the testimony here will show that these ETVs became very prominent after we developed the first nuclear weapons — and began to go into space. There were multiple events — corroborated here by numerous credible military officials — of these objects hovering over and even neutralizing ICBMs (Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles).

"A closed, military view of this might be to take offence, engage in counter-measures and attempt to down such objects. In fact, this would be the normal response. But what if these ET civilizations were saying, "Please do not destroy your beautiful world — and know this: we will not let you go into space with such madness and threaten others…" An event showing concern and even a larger cosmic wisdom could be construed over and over again as an act of aggression. Such misunderstandings and myopia are the stuff wars are made of.

"Whatever our perceptions of these visitors, there is no chance that misunderstandings can be resolved through violent engagement. To contemplate such madness is to contemplate the termination of human civilization.

"It is time for our wise elders and our level-headed diplomats, like Senator Pell, to be put in charge of these weighty matters. To leave this in the hands of a clique of un-elected, self-appointed and unaccountable covert operations is the greatest threat to US national security and world security in history. Eisenhower was right, but nobody was listening.

"In light of testimony showing that covert actions have been taken that involved violent engagement of these visitors, it is imperative that the international community in general and the US Congress and President in particular do the following:

"In addition to the above, a less obvious — but perhaps equally pressing — threat to world peace arises from the fact that the covert control of this subject has resulted in the world being deprived of the new energy and propulsion technologies discussed earlier.

"World poverty and a widening gap between rich and poor are serious threats to world peace that would be corrected by the disclosure and peaceful application of these technologies (see above). The real threat of war over a shrinking supply of fossil fuels in the next 10-20 years further underscores the need for this disclosure. What happens when the 4 billion people living in poverty want cars, electricity and other modern conveniences — all of which depend on fossil fuels? To any thinking person, it is obvious that we must transition quickly to the use of these now classified technologies — they are powerful solutions already sitting on a shelf.

"Of course, a number of insiders have pointed out that these technologies are not your grandfather’s Oldsmobile: They are technological advances, like any other, that could be put to violent uses by terrorists, bellicose nations and madmen. But here we enter a catch 22: If these technologies are not forthcoming soon, we will face a certain meltdown in human civilization and the environment; if they are disclosed, immensely powerful new technologies will be out there for possible destructive uses.

"In the near future, it is prudent to view humanity as likely to use any new technology violently. This means that international agencies must be created to ensure — and enforce — the exclusive peaceful use of such devices. The technologies exist today to link every such device to a GPS (Global Positioning System) monitor that could disable or render useless any device tampered with or used for anything put peaceful power generation and propulsion. These technologies should be regulated and monitored. And the international community must mature to a level of competence to ensure their exclusive peaceful use.

"Any other use should be met with overwhelming resistance by every other nation on Earth.

"Such a pact is the necessary next step. Maybe someday, humanity will live in peace without the need for such controls. But for now, the situation is like that of chained dogs — some strong leashes are warranted and are essential.

"But such concerns cannot be a rationale for further delaying the disclosure of these technologies. We have the knowledge and means to ensure their safe and peaceful use — and these must be applied soon if we are to avoid further degradation of the environment and an escalation of world poverty and conflict.

"In the final analysis, then, we are faced with a social and spiritual crisis that transcends any technological or scientific challenge. The technological solutions exist — but do we possess the will, wisdom and courage to apply them for the common good? The more one contemplates this matter the more it is obvious that we have one possible future: Peace. Peace on Earth and peace in space — a universal Peace, wisely enforced; for every other path leads to ruin

"This then is the greatest challenge of the current era. Can our spiritual and social resources rise to this challenge? Nothing less than the destiny of the human race hangs in the balance."

I have quoted fairly extensively from the Disclosure Project website because it's important. It's important that the truth be disclosed. It's also important that humanity receives the benefit of collaboration with extraterrestrial civilisations so that we can end wars, poverty and environmental abuse. It's also hard evidence that we stand on the threshold of major change. In fact, at the time of writing, it's one of very few pieces of hard evidence that our lives are about to change, as we adjust to the reality of ETs visiting and collaborating with Earth governments.

I would however point out that Dr Stephen Greer makes no mention of the ascension process. He does not suggest that collaboration with ETs will bring about a quantum leap in consciousness. He is more concerned with disclosing the truth about the reality and the presence of ETs than with the larger process of ascension which is also being concealed by the powers-that-be. Certainly, Dr Greer is aware of how dramatically our collaboration with ETs and the acquisition of their technology could transform our lives. But he is not taking account of the extent to which the presence of ETs and the collaboration of the military with ETs has been the work of the dark side. The ETs who have collaborated with the military were not necessarily from the Galactic Federation of Light, and bearing in mind that they were here before the time around 1995 when, in accordance with the Archangel Michael's edict, the dark side joined the Forces of Light, it is probable that the ETs were from the dark side. So disclosure is one thing - persuading either or both the ETs who have collaborated with the military, and the military themselves to relinquish the fruits of their collaboration is another. Somehow, we need to be sure that the dark agenda has been removed from the equation if disclosure is to be of any great practical benefit.

The 'first contact' that we really need, in my opinion, is the kind described by Sheldan Nidle in his book 'Your First Contact'. Sheldan also has the best 'take' on what an ascended society would be like. For as we raise ourselves to a higher level we will be welcomed into the Galactic Federation of Light and we will learn what being 'galactic' means.

Sheldan Nidle, an American living in Hawaii, was watched over, visited and taken to starships by beings from the Sirius star system, from which he himself had originated. Here we touch on an unfamiliar concept, which is that there are apparently many thousands of people living on Earth today who lived previous incarnations on higher dimensional planets and volunteered to reincarnate here on Earth at this time, mainly for the purpose of helping humanity through the coming great shift. Such people have been dubbed 'wanderers'.

The problem with 'wandering' is that upon incarnating into a 3rd dimensional life such as here on Earth, one 'forgets' who one is. Human beings when born have no awareness of previous incarnations. This is probably the main reason why we do not generally believe in reincarnation. There is no recollection of previous incarnations. However, the well-recognised fact is that babies seem to have personalities of their own, and it is not certain that personalities are either genetically inherited or developed through family influences. Also, as one grows up, one finds oneself drawn inexplicably to certain places or people or careers, etc. Could these things be echoes or memories of previous incarnations?

Many wanderers on Earth today have apparently not yet remembered who they are nor why they are here. This is the danger of 'wandering'. If a wanderer fails to remember he or she may find themselves trapped here on the 3rd dimension. At this present time it may be easier to remember because of the higher dimensional influences becoming more evident. It may be that I'm a wanderer. My muscle-testing tells me that I am, that I'm Andromedan by previous incarnations. Certainly my instincts are those of someone who came here to help humanity through this period of time. I think and act in a higher-dimensional way by expecting everyone to love each other and by giving and giving and giving without thinking of myself - which really isn't appropriate for this dimension as I've discovered to my cost! However I do not fully trust my muscle-testing, so I can't be entirely sure whether I'm a wanderer or not. Anyway, so what. Let's start getting used to the idea that other people are not from this Earth. According to Sheldan Nidle we are about to 'meet the neighbours'. The following information comes from Sheldan Nidle:

There is at the present time a vast fleet of ships waiting in near space around Earth, as I described earlier. The fleet is made up of soldiers, scientists, diplomats, cultural historians, landing teams and counsellors from many, many different star systems. It is not expected that soldiers will be needed in any kind of battle scenario, rather that they would assist in the physical aspects of cleansing and reconstruction of our planet, in the same way that U.N. soldiers may enter an area after a war to clean up and restore the infrastructure. There is a well-worn path to any 'first contact', and the reason for first contact is to help raise a planet's people into membership of the Galactic Federation in the spirit of oneness, love, joy and celebration. Nevertheless many practical considerations have to be taken care of.

The Galactic Federation of Light has developed a pattern or template for a viable, successful civilisation over countless millennia. We will not need to devise a new structure for a post-ascension civilisation here on Earth. We need only copy the pattern offered to us and exemplified by the Federation. But first, we need to go from here to there, a process which will probably take us through 2006 - 2012.

To judge from various writings, it is not clear what life will be like after ascension.

Everyone agrees, however, that life will be a lot better than it is today - a lot better, though it will also include greater responsibilities to each other and the planet - and the galaxy. So in what ways will our society, our beliefs and paradigms have to change?

The key things that will come from ascending into a higher state will include a greater understanding and experience that We Are All One. We may have heard that said before, but it has not been our experience. It is much more obvious to us that we are separate from each other. Such connection as we have is limited to brief experiences of being aware of how each other feels, which is empathy, or being involved in a seeming coincidence that has brought us together in some way. What else? Nothing much else comes to mind.

In a higher state of consciousness we will become telepathic, or at least far more empathic. Such phenomena can only mean that we are connected through our minds or hearts or spirit - or consciousness, however that may manifest. It will be impossible to deny that we are connected. If so, then there is a common field of consciousness to which we are all connected. We are aspects of that field of consciousness, which could be thought of as 'spirit'. At the very least, We Are All (part of) One.

In that state of oneness it will be difficult to remain separate. It will be difficult to judge another, or do harm to another, partly because it will, in a very literal sense, be self-defeating to act or feel negatively towards 'oneself', and also because our negativity would be felt by others, and we would be identified as the source.

In practice, we would not act nor feel negatively towards another because we would not have made the quantum leap into a higher state of consciousness if we still harboured ill-will towards others. Ascension therefore means learning to treat others as oneself, lovingly and supportively, compassionately, forgivingly and joyfully. And if we don't feel that way towards ourselves today, that's a measure of the work we need to do before ascension. We need to learn to love, not just as an intellectual thing but in practice, in every sphere of our lives. That is, after all, what the Ascended Masters like Jesus and Buddha and Mohammed have been telling us.

And this implies responsibility to each other. And to the planet. We need to learn to love each other and the planet in such a way that we also act lovingly, and take responsibility for 'the other', which is also oneself. We know what this means. We need to look after each other, to support each other, to act in a positive, constructive way towards each other. But as yet we do not know the extent to which we must do this. And this is where ascension does not become the 'no-brainer', easy choice.

It may be that a new World War or a succession of major natural disasters will throw us all into a state of mutual dependency or will open our hearts to compassion for those involved, whether near or far away.

Charity, though, with all the word charity implies, begins at home and there is no reason why we should not start today. Here in Britain, we have largely lost the sense of community and we know it is a great loss. Community implies mutuality, a sense of togetherness, a sense of being interdependent. Beyond the merely practical, mundane and prosaic, it implies an extended family, a sense of belonging, a connection which can be felt from the heart, and expressed as love in the sense taught by the great masters like Jesus.

We know in our hearts the value of community. We know the value of love for each other, for family, for extended family, for community. We have lost the practice of community, and to some degree we have lost the desire for community because our material wealth, our work, our daily routines, our personal transport (the car) and our willingness to travel have made it possible to live separately from those around us. Yet not all of us are so fortunate, and those people bemoan the loss of community. And even the fortunate ones whose friends and family are notionally their community are aware that community is important. So what would it take to restore our sense of community, other than waiting for disaster to bring us together?

It would take a Movement. Preferably, it would take several movements of very large groups of people who share a common cause. But on what basis could movements be founded? I can propose an example in which I am personally involved.

For the last 18 months (11th April 2008 - nearly 4 years now!) I have done full-time voluntary work with the North Staffs Pensioners' Convention, based in the city of Stoke-on-Trent, in the county of Staffordshire in England. The Convention has around 500 members, almost all pensioners of 60 years of age and older. One of our activities is to challenge the powers-that-be over their policies relating to older people.

Since the summer of 2005 we have been engaged in debate with the officers and councillors of Stoke-on-Trent City Council over their strategy for elderly care services across the city. When the officers' first draft report was published, my first reaction was "where's the care?". It seemed to me that the proposed strategy was driven almost entirely by two things: cost and government directives. So we launched a campaign based on 'quality of care'. In September 2005 we presented to the Lord Mayor, at a full meeting of the City Council, a 5000-signature petition entitled 'Quality Care Charter for Older People in North Staffordshire'. Our petition was well-received and since then we, the North Staffs Pensioners' Convention, have been directly involved in taking the strategy forward to final proposals.

What has become clear is the extent to which our call for 'quality care' has become a vanguard, a without-which-nothing, basis for future policy. Everyone understands what 'quality care' means, and everyone recognises the need, and desire, for it. Everyone knows that we cannot accept anything less. 'Quality care' is an expression of concern, compassion and love for those in need. No-one at policy-making level fails to understand that the general public wants 'quality care' from the authorities, whether for themselves, their relatives or for the wider community. And now 'quality care' has become a rallying call, and when the officers and councillors of Stoke-on-Trent City Council talk in public, they refer to the need for 'quality care'.

This is the sort of thing that Movements are based upon. Here in Stoke-on-Trent we have the basis for a movement with genuine power behind it - the common aspiration of all the people. And even though it may present problems for those devising and implementing policy, and even though the public may have to contribute through their taxes, the common aspiration is so strong that no-one is going to say "we can't afford it". Everyone knows that the community demands nothing less, and everyone feels safe in saying that 'quality care' is an indispensable, without-which-nothing requirement for a community, or society.

We could turn this into a national movement. The North Staffs Pensioners' Convention is affiliated to the National Pensioners' Convention in London which has contacts in the Government at Westminster and represents over a million pensioners. The National Pensioners' Convention could turn our local campaign into a national campaign, and could stimulate the same response in people's hearts nationally that we stimulated locally. This would be a perfectly legitimate tool to use to promote a sense of community throughout Britain. And we will do this in the near future. We have established that such a campaign changes hearts and minds, and with this experience behind us we will take the campaign forward.

There are other campaigns that the National Pensioners' Convention could pursue, for example against the monetary system, which is what controls the amount of the State Pension paid to pensioners.

Another example of such a campaign, to be taken up by others, which could change hearts and minds would be a 'Women against War' campaign such as Code Pink: Women for Peace. There are others. All it takes is small groups of people to take up such a campaign, establish that people support it and then translate it into a national campaign.

(December 28th 2006: Just today, I've discovered the Worldwide United Foundation which appears to be a non-aligned (i.e. no other agendas) organisation seeking an end to poverty and inequality. It seems really excellent.)

What these campaigns would be, are expressions of concern, compassion and love for others. Such values transcend all other values, be they economic, political, cultural, religious, scientific, academic or whatever. Whatever plans any of the powers-that-be have to change our societies over the next few years could be made to stand the test of concern, compassion and love for others.

I see this happening over the next few years. I see people relishing the opportunity to stake their claim for more heartfelt values in society, and a greater sense of community. This would be entirely consistent with the steady rise in consciousness which seems to be on the cards for the immediate future, in preparation and acclimatisation for a sudden, quantum leap in 2011/2012.

The western economic system centres around money. One might think that money is the central pivot around which everything revolves, and that's the way life works. We seldom stop to wonder whether that is true. So let's stop and wonder now.

Money is a man-made concept, enabling people conveniently to exchange goods and services and other things of value. It's convenient because we expect to pay, or be paid, in return for the goods and services we are exchanging.

Why should we pay or be paid in return for the goods and services we are exchanging?

Do we pay our mother and father for the many things they gave us? Do we ask our children to pay us for such things?

In a closed community, in which all the goods and services we require are made available to the members of the community according to their need, no money is needed, although it would be expected that everyone would contribute through their labour, or knowledge or in some other way.

Well, the world is a closed community, is it not? And potentially it is self-sufficient, with everyone enjoying abundance - if that can be described as having what we need, rather than having everything we want. Then why isn't it happening that way? It's because of the way things have evolved. Along the way, because we lived in a low level of consciousness, and we were driven by dark agencies, we sought wealth and power for our nation in competition with other nations. Nations needed or wanted to import and export in order to receive necessary goods and services and to make available to their people the wealth that the nation owned, whether natural resources or human intelligence, etc.

If the time has now come when we wish to cease competing, and cease being driven by the dark side, we can abandon the economic system which was suited to our past behaviour, behaviour which we now wish to transcend. We wish now to live in a world where peace prevails, with abundance for all, at least to the extent that everyone throughout the world has an ample sufficiency. That is reflective of a higher state of consciousness such as we are now rising into.

So now we don't need money at all. We can just give things freely, and receive things freely. And there really isn't any other way of expressing unconditional love. Money is obviously conditional. "I will give you this if you will pay me what it's worth." Note the word 'if'. Conditional. "If you give me this, I will give you that". Even barter is conditional. The only reflection of unconditional is giving without any expectation of return. Could it possibly work?

Take a look at www.freecycle.org where there are groups all around the world simply giving things away free. It works wonderfully. I started a Stoke-on-Trent Freecycle group, which operates on the Yahoo group system, as do all Freecycle groups around the world. The group has over 700 members (December 10th 2006: now over 1400 members) and every day people are willingly giving away all sorts of things because they no longer want them. What would it take for people to give away things they made, or grew in their garden, knowing that others were doing the same? Well, let's find out! I'll start a group for that purpose. I'll call it Givingitwithlove.

I've looked to see whether such a group or website exists. Amazingly, I found there were no such sites as give-it-with-love.org, or .org.uk, not even .com or .co.uk for a florist's shop or suchlike, nor giving-it-with-love, nor givingunconditionally, nor money-free-economy or similar others. I did find a www.givingitallaway.com which seemed to embody the idea but it was undeveloped. Am I on my own here? Is there no-one out there thinking like this? Is there anyone reading this? If so, please send me an email to reassure me I'm not alone! Thanks! Phew!

The Stoke-on-Trent Freecycle group took about a year before it really got going when we had some publicity in the media. And although it has grown steadily there have been marked spurts of growth following some media coverage of Freecycle. So I dare say it would take quite a long time for Givingitwithlove would take off. Or, the rising consciousness might help it to grow faster. We'll see.

In the meantime, how can we make a transition to a new economy as consciousness rises?

There's a great likelihood of a major collapse in the global economy, led probably by a collapse in the American dollar. Many commentators are surprised it has held on so long but feel it is inevitable that reality will prevail and the current fantasy of dollar value and supremacy will collapse catastrophically very soon indeed which, from the time of writing in April 2006, means by this summer. If so, it will have repercussions worldwide.

(December 28th 2006: The US dollar is falling steadily, and many countries and organisations, especially those selling or buying oil, such as Saudi Arabia, Iran, China, Venezuela and OPEC, have just begun to sell or buy oil in currencies other than the US dollar which until recently was the world reserve currency for oil sales. It seems inevitable that this will have serious consequences for the US economy and then for the world economy. Unfortunately, the US economy has been discovered to be way, way beyond financial sustainability and the US has lost many friends through its empire-like foreign policies.)

This could appear to portend disastrous consequences for us all, with personal and corporate bankruptcies and a total breakdown in the production and supply chain. But wait! As we've already seen, the money is an illusion, it's not anything of real substance. It is 'fiat' - let it be - and is worth only what we agree it is worth. So if the U.S. dollar collapses, and if the U.K.'s pound sterling collapses, well, let's set up another currency, or barter, or lend, or share, or give.

The real foundation of an economy is not the money, but the production and supply chain, and all the physical assets like the buildings and the roads and vehicles and machinery, together with the human resources whether physical or intellectual. All of that will continue, so where's the problem?

The problem lies simply in our perception that our money has value. But it only has value as long as we pretend that it does. Our production capacity has real value. We can't pretend that it has, or doesn't have, value. And that's what counts. The total value of an economy is not how much 'money' there is in it, but how much productive capacity it has.

Money is simply a token, of no intrinsic value, which enables us to exchange things. The national currency, whether it be dollars or pounds, is only important when it comes to importing, because the exporting country needs to know that the money it is accepting will have some value for purchasing goods from us, or using our currency to buy things from other countries. Even so, a computerised credit and debit system would make currency redundant.

The same would apply to a regional or a local currency. It's the confidence in the currency that gives it it's true value. But if we can back up that confidence with the knowledge that we can exchange in some other way, for example through exchange of goods, or services, or knowledge, etc., the currency can just be used as a convenient token.

So we could set up local currencies. Paper currencies could be printed as easily as gift vouchers in department stores. Even local councils could print vouchers as legitimate exchange bills. And we should have local currencies on standby so that in the event of a collapse of our national currency we can still trade. This means that, providing that we can back up our local currency with something meaningful, even if it's a promise - just as it says on our banknotes 'I promise to pay on demand, the sum of £xx' which is the ultimate guarantor of the currency - we can still trade.

The really big issue about a collapse of currency is what happens to cash we have in the bank or building society or tied up in shares. This cash would probably be lost. And this shows that cash is best invested in useful assets such as a place to live, with enough land to grow what we need, and tools and machinery.

So I recommend everyone to convert all their cash and shares and non-productive assets immediately into assets for self-reliance. Preferably, communities should do this together. There is no point in being self-reliant in a community where everyone else is starving and looting, because you would be their first target. Communities should organise for everyone to be provided for. This means not just neighbourhood communities but villages, towns and cities, and even regions should be organised to be self-reliant and self-sufficient in the basic needs for subsistence and survival.

Is there any sign of self-sufficiency organised around the nation? Here in England there is no sign whatsoever. So it's time to speak to local and national government, urging them to stop being so complacent about the security of our food, water and energy supplies and start organising for our self-sufficiency.

(December 28th 2006: I heard today on the radio that 60% of Britain's food consumption is home-grown, 20% comes from the EU and only 20% from around the world e.g. bananas, coffee from the tropics and sub-tropics - food which perhaps we don't need. But being nationally self-sufficient doesn't mean we can access food when our national infrastructure breaks down through e.g. widespread computer failure caused by solar storms, flu pandemic, terrorism. I live amid some of the best farming country in the world, yet there is no local access to locally-grown food whatsoever. However, at least people are beginning to voice such concerns on the radio.)

I have it on good authority that our community's food and fuel supplies could be at risk from several credible threats resulting from the globalisation of our economy, including natural disasters, climate change, terrorism, flu pandemics, economic collapse and possibly others.

In contrast to the efforts made to globalise our economy, no efforts appear to have made in our local area to ensure self-sufficiency in food and fuel, not even through quantities of food and fuel held in storage against possible future shortages.

I feel I have to hold you responsible for the lack of contingency planning expedited by the local authority to meet these credible threats, and I now call on you to raise this as a matter of urgency through your council offices.

It seems necessary to ensure that enough food and fuel is grown locally so that we do not depend on outside sources, and whilst supplies are being cultivated there should be supplies held in storage.

I intend to raise this matter with the local media and to keep them informed of your replies to me and the actions that you and your council take to redress this vulnerability.

In addition, we need to do whatever we personally can do to ensure our survival throughout the ascension process. We should, therefore, store food at home, or in some safe place. Foods such as whole grains, pulses, seeds, nuts, oils, salt, sugar will store for months, even years if kept cool and dry.

Whole grains and pulses and beans (in their natural i.e. seed form), and seeds can be sprouted, that is, soaked in water overnight then drained, kept wet, refreshed daily, in a glass container on a warm windowsill or in the airing cupboard, until they sprout their first growth. As they grow and develop their first small leaves they will multiply in nutritional value and are probably the best kind of food you could eat at any time now or in the future. You could practically live on a combination of seed sprouts.

A diet of whole grain, cooked or raw e.g. muesli, with sprouted seeds, home-grown salad food, vegetables and fruit would not only keep you alive but would probably vastly improve your present-day diet and hugely reduce your present spending on food. Also, it would alkalinise your diet, which apparently would strengthen your immune system and optimise your health.

Self-sufficiency in transport means not using the petrol or diesel supplied by the garage forecourts which are supplied mainly from overseas.

The nearest equivalent to petrol and diesel is bio-diesel which can be manufactured locally but it is a relatively complicated process and uses a lot of crops from which the oil is pressed. Bio-ethanol is a better prospect. Ethanol is a liquid fuel produced by converting the starch content of biomass feedstocks (e.g. corn, potatoes, beets, sugarcane, wheat) into alcohol by variations on a fermentation process. However it cannot be used 'straight' in modern cars.

If petrol and diesel will no longer be available, for reasons of cost or interrupted supply, modern, high-technology cars will become redundant. We will need to revert to the much lower level of technology of pre-catalytic converter cars, and pollution from exhaust emissions will become less of a priority than at present. Survival will take priority. Therefore communities will need to have vehicles powered by old-fashioned engines using old-fashioned fuels.

Otherwise, new technologies will need to become available. Frankly, I don't expect this to happen until the ETs arrive, although water, surprisingly, seems to have been keeping some secrets from us. Hence the need for us to become self-sufficient in our communities. We can walk the length of our communities, and carry what we need.

Those of us who enjoy owning and driving modern cars should enjoy them while we can.

At present the clothes we wear are chosen because of fashion and appearance more than practicality. In the near future we will forget about fashion and appearance.

Clothes will need to be practical in terms of warmth and durability. For such things, we could look back to Victorian England or even further back to Anglo-Saxon times. There is no shortage of examples from the past. This is not high technology. The skills of the past will be worth learning, if we are to stay warm and dry.

It might seem unlikely that we will need to replace our current form of government, but actually it is necessary because the present government is part of a system which is corrupt through and through.

At the very least it would be necessary for the electorate to vote into power an entirely new set of people who understand what they are replacing, so that it won't happen again. Frankly that is not likely to happen until the ETs come.

However, we will need to be pro-active about preventing ourselves being drawn into the Orwellian 1984 police state which is currently in the making. The U.K. is already highly surveillanced. We face the need for an uprising by the people, a civil war against the authorities, a revolution to prevent the making of a police state, if we are ever to be free. It is not generally known that even today we are not free citizens, nor have we been since 1066 when the Normans conquered England and made the free citizens of England subjects of the Crown as we remain today. But at least we have felt somewhat free. In the near future, we could be well aware of being imprisoned by the State in our own homes - if indeed they are still our own homes.

We should know that before the Norman Conquest in 1066 there was an Anglo-Saxon society with a well-ordered style of government, a true, organic democracy which worked from the people upwards through tiers of government to the centre, rather than down from the centre as we have today. The Anglo-Saxon society is a default model for a democratic society. That is, when civilisations collapse, they collapse back to a society like the Anglo-Saxon. I have been involved for a couple of years in an initiative to restore this model, which contains a vision for what a post-U.K. style of government would be like.

The process of ascension is one of increasing unity. Whatever is separated needs to be reconciled into a transcendent unity. There is no question but that the differences we face through our different faiths and cultures and ethnicities need to be reconciled into a unity which inevitably must transcend every superficial difference.

There is undoubtedly a central core of truth in our lives which we must understand and agree upon. There can only be one truth at the heart of things, even though that truth may be different in different levels of consciousness.

So somehow, all the faiths that believe in God need to transcend their belief and keep transcending until they can find something to agree upon. Otherwise, there will always be these major divisions in the world which will keep us all apart except when we go to war against each other in the name of our faith. What we fail to recognise is the extent to which we are manipulated by the dark powers-behind-the-scenes to remain divided and competitive. The major religions have signs of being devised more by the hand of corrupted man than by God. We need to come together to repel this manipulation, even if it means having to dismantle our religions altogether.

Surely at the heart of all religions is a spirituality which we are trying to discern and understand and embody. There has never been a more crucial time for us to succeed than now.

As I write at 28th December 2006, people could be forgiven for thinking that not much is changing, and if they've ever heard about 2012 being a time when this world will end and a Golden Age will begin (or simply that this world will end!), forgiven for thinking that it's all in someone's over-stimulated imagination.

The job in hand is to wake people up from their slumbering and persuade them to look a little deeper, just a little deeper, into what they see on their television and in their magazines and newspapers, and even on the streets of their towns and cities. Unfortunately most people have accepted the authority of the 'authorities', whether in government, the media, the churches, schools and universities or wherever. People believe what they are told by these 'authorities'. This is a catastrophic mistake, the consequences of which are so grave, from the perspective of their immortal soul, that every effort needs now to be made to persuade people to see the pure and simple truth of their reality. This is the job in hand.

I could spend a lot more time embellishing all that I've written above by adding more detail, more historical facts and perspectives, more information about what's happening today and what the trends are for the future. And I should do this. I will do it. In the meantime, I need to find ways to encourage what I (arrogantly?) call 'ordinary' people to see enough of what lies beyond their noses to begin to ask "What's going on?" and then find their way to my writing or any other writing which sets out reality in an accessible way.

What's needed now, I feel, is for people at least to open their minds to the possibility that great change lies just ahead of us, and to take as sceptical an attitude as they wish but at least to study enough to be able to contribute to a debate about it. Burying one's head in the sand is simply not an option today. The time will come when, unless people have a fair degree of understanding, it will be too late to adapt to changing circumstances. That time is very, very near now.

We have a choice to make, a choice between two things: moving upwards into a higher state of consciousness, or moving downward into a lower state. Neither is the 'right' choice. No-one is judging, criticising, bemoaning those who choose to take the downward path. No-one is congratulating those who take the upward path, except to say that taking the upward path will have required a conscious and sustained effort, for which one may be congratulated. Taking the downward path requires no effort. Mother Earth does not seem to require a certain number of souls to remain with her; she seems to require only that those souls who prefer the downward path should leave her.

The conscious and sustained effort required to take the upward path does require some collective effort, however. And, particularly, many of those who are required to aid in the collective effort are still asleep: they need to be woken up. Practical things need to be done. A period of some years will surely be required to rebuild a functioning new world. At the same time, a period of chaos, disintegration, tribulation and not a little grief will have to be endured and handled with strength of character. Mutual support will be needed.

At the present time, at the end of 2006, those people who are striving to take the upward path are not finding each other in any great numbers. In the city where I live I know no more than half-a-dozen people with whom I can be working together, and even we are not doing this yet. To judge from the internet, which is undoubtedly the best tool for communicating between such people and groups, there are scarce numbers of people actively engaging with each other with serious intention. This needs to change, and I feel this must happen in the very near future.

It seems that there would need to be, may the gods forbid, more events on the scale of 9/11 or the Boxing Day 2004 tsunami in the Indian Ocean coming thick and fast and on an even greater scale before people will begin to wake up to a changing world. When we are directly, personally impacted by such events we will be forced to wake up. Even then, people may say that such events have happened before so, "What's new?". What will it take to wake people up? Perhaps the answer is that the choice has already been made: some people are already awake; others will remain asleep. I believe, however, that there are many who would want to be awakened. They simply need someone to wake them up.

I hope that my writing can be used as a tool to wake people up. This has turned into a fairly long essay. Perhaps it's too long. It probably needs a summary, or at least a taster, so that people may feel inspired to read the longer work over a period of time. Somehow it needs to be publicised. The internet is undoubtedly the place to publicise it. It's not, and I'm not, controversial enough to do a David Icke and become known through notoriety, effective though such a strategy might be. It needs to be quietly but insistently distributed through the web, through discussion forums.

If you, reader, managed to read this through this far, or if you, like me, prefer to read the end before you read the beginning so you know what it's working up to, I hope you will agree that my work has some credibility, that it's fairly balanced, fairly well sourced and provides a foundation for ongoing study. ".... the entity does not ascend from the time-space universes, but rather coalesces into a state of wholeness whereby its sovereign expression can assist in the expansion, or in a different context, the descent, of Source Reality into the time-space universes.

Ascension is often construed as the natural outcome of evolution. That all planetary systems and species are evolving to the point where they ascend from limitation, and that eventually, the time-space universes will somehow fold into Source Reality and cease to exist as fields of vibration. It is actually quite the opposite. Source Reality is descending. It is inclusive of all things, and it is the Source intention to expand, not retreat. The entity transforms to wholeness within the cradle of the time-space universe, and, in so doing, becomes the accessory of Source Reality's intention to expand."

So what this means is that the very title of my essay, 'Ascension NOW' is wrong; we're not ascending now; rather, Heaven is descending to Earth, to express the above in sound-bite terms. It just goes to show that I'm learning too; so I hope you can read my essay as an ongoing process of exploration, and learning for myself, and for yourself if you choose.

There's a quote similar to the above on another website I discovered lately, called The Revelatorium at www.revelatorium.com. I took upon myself the privilege of proof-reading the recently-completed work, all 34 chapters of it, so now it reads without tripping the reader up on typos and mis-constructions, which had prompted me to offer to proof-read and edit it. It too is a most extraordinary work, and until I find the actual quote again, it said, in effect, that we don't ascend by our own efforts, as many other writers suggest; we ascend by the grace of the Creator, who is currently expanding this universe into something new and will take us into it if we are ready.
